LOL.. the status of the first test match between Afghanistan and New Zealand is now "Match abandoned without a ball bowled". This was a huge disappointment for the cricket fans back in Afghanistan, as they were facing New Zealand for the first time. Next, Afghanistan is travelling to the United Arab Emirates to take part in an ODI series against South Africa. Since they will be playing at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, I don't think that they will face any issues related to rain there. New Zealand will stay in this format, as they have test series against Sri Lanka lined up next.

Just as the Pakistan series was challenging for Bangladesh, this Test series against India on India's home soil is a big challenge for Bangladesh. Bangladesh can do well against India but their chances are very slim. India's bowling line-up and Pakistan's bowling line-up but one or the same, at the moment India has world class batsmen who will play against Bangladesh, all in all the India series will not be easy for Bangladesh at all. Winning and losing is normal but it remains to be seen how much Bangladesh can compete with India. Lol I believe after 3 days of delay, unofficially it has been called off already. They must be waiting for formalities now.
In the past, In Delhi NCR September wasn't the peak rainy month. Even In the first half of the month, rain used to slow down with rare showers but it became unpredictable in the last couple of years, call it climate change or whatever but I guess it's a new reality.

They shall wait for the last moment before calling this test match off. By the way, if anyone is searching how many test matches in history got abandoned without bowling a ball, here is list abandoned tests without a ball being bowled.
Also, i heard someone giving a very good advice, why not convert this test into an ODI on the last day of the match, if the weather permits the play

South Africa A vs Sri Lanka A, 1st Unofficial Test match was ongoing but meanwhile Sri Lanka A won by 6 wickets against South Africa A team. In the 1st inngins both team did very decent amount of runs where South Africa A team scored 372-10 runs, Matthew Breetzke(129) did his century, Marques Ackerman(69) also played well and Eshan Malinga got 4 wickets. Besides Sri Lanka A Scored 323-10 runs, Oshada Fernando (121) did his century, Beyers Swanepoel got 4 wickets. Match was going fine but in the 2nd inngins, unfortunately South Africa A lost all of their wickets within 124-10 runs, Isitha Wijesundera is the main game changer who destroyed them by taking 7 wickets lol. That's why Sri Lanka A team started batting again and easily surpassed the Targeted runs and won the match. Congrats Sri Lanka A team for archive the victory and having such skillful bowler like Isitha Wijesundera.
In this I expected Sri Lanka to win and that's what happened in this match. If you look, both the teams have played well in one innings and performed poorly in one. South African batsmen have scored 372 runs in the first innings which could not be completed by the Sri Lankan batsmen. And in the second innings, South Africa scored 124 runs and Sri Lankan batsmen scored 174. And it has won Sri Lanka. If the South African batsmen had played like the first innings, they could have won this match. But due to the pressure on their batsmen and not playing well, the target could not become difficult and they will lose the first match. Not so good performance from Sri Lanka. But the bowlers on both sides have played very well, they have stopped runs on both sides and have also taken wickets. In the 45th game of County Championship Division Two, in the second innings, Yorkshire made 379 runs and set the lead of 281 runs. BCCI taking Bangladesh seriously and going with a full strength squad.
As far as we know, Indian newcomers will be given places in the Bangladesh and India Test squads, but the squad gives a clear impression that India is taking Bangladesh very seriously.However, we as supporters of Bangladesh want to say that Bangladesh is currently energized after defeating Pakistan, so we wish that if they do not win the test matches with India, they draw.
Bangladesh team regained their strength after winning against Pakistan team, because the margin of victory against Pakistan team was very high. But the Bangladesh team was more likely to win against India, although in the past Bangladesh and India were not guaranteed to win these matches due to political reasons between Bangladesh and India.
But now the situation is completely reversed, so India will be the most challenging match between Bangladesh. As the Bangladesh team is ready to put up a patient batting performance, Bangladesh team will have a chance to win only if they can perform with the Indian team for a long time.

August-September is the peak rainy season in this part of India, and I am not sure why the test match was scheduled at this time. That said, the Duleep Trophy matches are going on without any issues, since these matches are being hosted by cities which are outside the rainy zone at this point. Afghan management should blame themselves.

Today is the fourth day of the match but no one played a single ball yet due to heavy rain.
I am talking about the match between New Zealand and Afghanistan. The match started on 9th of the September but still both team didn't played yet so let's wait for the weather if it will give a chance to them to start the match. But still I think there are no chances. And if this will start today so I think definitely this match will be drawn. And both teams are good and they can give a tough time to each. So let's what will happen?

First Sri Lanka team A won the series of ODI against South Africa A but lost the last match. However, they won the series and it is a lot. After that they beat South Africa A in Test match. The Sri Lanka A team is on fire, they could do anything right now. South Africa is the name of a very big team but right now they are losing to Sri Lanka A team. Sri Lanka have mood to win the red ball game as well. Now, after the break of three days, there will be the next match as schedule on 15th September Sunday. In that match, I want to see Sri Lanka winning again.
To be honest in this unofficial match I thought that the way South African A team batting maybe they are going to win this match but after their first innings when Sri Lankan A started their first innings batting they also did really well But they couldn't cross South African A team's 372 runs before they were bowled out for 323 runs. Sometimes I thought that South African team might perform well again in the second innings and win this match but I saw Sri Lankans did very well and easily The South African team was all out for just 124 runs. And in this incident the entire match prediction has been turned upside down and as a result Sri Lankan team has won. However, through this match, the Sri Lankan team gave a hint to the South African team from the beginning that they are not a less powerful team, so if they are taken lightly, the South African team will lose to them.

The squad that India has announced for the two Test matches against Bangladesh shows how serious India is taking this series against Bangladesh. Not just limited to team announcements, a significant number of people have bought tickets with huge sums of money to watch this Test match between India and Bangladesh. Bangladesh recently finished the Test series against Pakistan where Bangladesh defeated Pakistan in two matches to whitewash. Basically this is the only reason to take Bangladesh so seriously. It wasn't part of WTC but one off side project of Kiwis before they tour Sri Lanka and India for 5 test matches. Practice match for New Zealand so they won't be hurt much except they wasted their 5-7 days by sitting duck
But it's a bummer for Afghanistan, they hardly get to play the test match and when they do get one. It's facing a complete washout due to rain and other factors as well.

Couldn't even complete the toss on the third day of the first Test match between Afghanistan vs New Zealand. Due to rain and bad weather at the venue where this match was originally scheduled to take place, the match will not start and this first test match will be delayed. This game has not started for 3 days and has been abandoned, so this will not be the first match of the Test series, but if the weather is good, the second match may start later. And in this test series between Afghanistan and New Zealand we could have seen a good game but the field condition is not like the game due to which the game was abandoned.
Yeh it's really disappointed moments for Afghani fans because after a very long time Afghanistan got an opportunity to play a test matches series against a top team like new Zealand but unfortunately all goes in vain because rain interference didn't even stop at third day of the match or may be the wet track restrict authorities to allow team to get into the stadium. Anyway according to some source Afghanistan management were not happy with that things but let be honest despite knowing the weather conditions they still choose such stadium so there is no way to blame BCCI or any stadium staff they can change venue but they didn't so they are responsible of such damage. Hope that first match will be announced draw and hope so there will be decent preparation for second test match at different venue.

I did not see this whole match just look score dashboard after fully finished this match both these squad faced each other in different previous format competition like ODI. In this competition, Sri Lanka A squad gave a good response in ODI and in end of competition, their squad won the competition with leading two victories. Again in test format competition, Sri Lanka A squad defeated South Africa A squad in first match by huge difference. Both squads have almost same performance in their first innings, South Africa A managed 372 scores and Sri Lanka A sqaud has managed 323 scores just few scores difference among squads. South Africa A squad led this match with high scores and their performance was also good than Sril Lanka A squad. But I don't know why their members displayed very disappointing performance in second inning their squad just managed 124 scores with lost of all batters. Sri Lanka A took great advantage to this opportunity and emerged easy victory by achieving all scores and showcased fantastic strength in bowling inning.

From 19th September, India vs Bangladesh test series is going to start. By the way, I think dropping Muhammad Shami is not a good idea. BCCI dropped Muhammad Shami and in his place, we will see Sarfraz while playing for India.
Ravichandran Ashwin is a very good option to go with him. He is the test matches bully, he has amazing records in test series and is always selected by the Indian team for the test series not for T20 or ODI, just test matches. Still, I think from somehow they must have to make the place of the Muhammad Shami in the squad because he is a very experienced player and always pick wickets, good option for the test matches and one day matches, though not be a good choice for T20.
