After a clean sweep against New Zealand in the T20I series, India teams seem to be flying high. It will be interesting to see if the outcome will be the same as the T20I series or if the Black Caps will fight back tenaciously. Are India's T20s consistent enough to transfer to the Test games and really take revenge on the current ICC World Test Champion?

You seems to talk as if the incident took place a decade ago, it was 3 years back and may be he have taken the blame for the team members doing the tampering, what ever it may be the situation he was stripped and suspended for over an hour and i still think those kind of punishment were excessive. Steve Smith is the one who could lead Australia but whether CA would appoint him is a different story.

I think that ICC should make some rules about themselves first because ball tampering shouldn't have this high of a penalty. I honestly think that the maximum penalty should be 6 months for this. And also remember that Shakib Al Hasan ban of a year?

New Zealand had won the title of world test championship by beating India. And India has lost the last three test match against New Zealand. However, the situation is different at this moment and India plays better in their home condition. Betting odds is in favour of India. On the other hand, West Indies is struggling against Sri Lanka. Seems like they will go through follow on and loss this game.

Cricket Australia must appoint him because is the only best choise according to me and there is no reason not to select him because that time is gone now 3 years is decent amount of time in which 1 year of ban he has faced already so that must not affect them now.

Does it really matter, yeah they purchased something which was costly and if the authorities does not want to check their statements on how they are able to purchase expensive items, which they can literally because they are getting a good pay scale. Yes exactly that incident is gone way back now, smith has got all the punishment and he came back with a bang with back to back centuries. He is the best batsman in test matches currently with an average of above 60 so there is no doubt that he is tbe best candidate to become thr captain of Australia in test matches.

Steve smith and david warner these are thr best option for the australian cricket board to appoint the next captain. Both of them have been involved in that ball tampering incident against south africa but both already got their punishment and one of them must be the captain. In test matches warner has not been in the best of form so I think steve smith is the only option

It's a big blow for Australia as Ashes is just ahead. But what I feel is that Aussies have so much depth in there team that replacement of captain or one or two key players won't effect there performance. I do agree that Smith is strongest canadate for captaincy. It will be interesting to place bet on new Aussies test captain.

Well, we all know that these types of allegations and problems are nothing new for cricketers as many greats of the game (I won't say any names) have also had this type of problem. I think this really happens because of no sense of discipline.
