Sri Lanka played very well in Test matches against Bangladesh. They won both matches showing how good they are in this cricket format. Bangladesh played little better in T20 and ODI matches but they struggled in Test matches. They did not score many runs in any of four innings they played. Sri Lanka did great job especially in second Test where they scored over 530 runs in their first turn to bat. Kamindu Mendis a young player did really well with both batting and bowling and was named best player of the match and series. Well done to Sri Lanka for their win. Bangladesh will need to work on their weaknesses to do better in future.

Sri Lanka won by 192 runs in their 2nd test match against Bangladesh. they eneded up two test match by winning continuously and this is how they have won the Test series. Bangladesh Was seen Good enough in T20 & ODI Format against Sri Lanka but in Test match, Bangladesh needs great development as they did too much lower performance in 1st and 2nd test match. Mehidy Hasan Miraz (81) made good runs in 2nd inngins but At the end of the day, in avarage Bangladesh did under 200 runs in each of 4 inngins (in 2 test matches). And Sri Lanka was too serious about this test and so was seen in the 2nd test where they played with more effort and cross more than 530 runs in 1st innings. Specially everyone's eyes was on youngster Kamindu Mendis who did a lots of runs even took 3 wickets in 2nd inngins against Bangladesh. And become player of the match and player of the series. Congrats Sri Lanka, what a play!!

I am having believe these both teams are on same level of quality but after this series now I am changing my view about Bangladesh because they are having no chance of improvement in test format with things are going from bad to worse for them with their performance and quality in this series we have just once Bangladesh cross the 200+ runs and in three early innings they were badly down and out of the game.

Their fielding is also badly down with too many catches to drop is surely having not favourable situation for the bowlers and team even they have done good resistance in second inning of this second test, but Sri Lanka were already in well control, and they have not allowed them to have anything good from this two test matches series we have amazing stuff from the few Sri Lankan youngsters those are having good future in the game and for the Sri Lankan cricket.

If 70 to 100 runs were needed for Bangladesh to win, we as Bangladeshi fans expected Bangladesh to win this match but Bangladesh needs to score 200 plus runs to win this match. While scoring 200 runs for 10 wickets is very difficult for Bangladesh, surely three batsmen cannot score 200 runs at the end and we are already predicting Bangladesh to win this match against Sri Lanka by a big margin.

Late yesterday Taijul Islam and Mehdi Hasan batted very well towards the end and connected the ball well with the bat but they have to start fresh today. In that case, it is only natural that the ball will not connect well with the bat early on and Bangladesh will lose wickets early on the fifth day compared to late yesterday. It is very likely that Bangladesh will be all out against Sri Lanka today long before the first session is over.

The third innings was much better than the first innings of Bangladesh, especially if Bangladesh could have played an innings like the second innings instead of being all out for 178 runs in the first innings, the result of the match could have been different.
In Bangladesh's second innings, except for Hasan Mahmud and Khaled Ahmed, everyone scored double-digit runs, but at first, the top-order batsmen of Bangladesh did not perform well, which led to Bangladesh's first innings score of 178 runs all out.
Again in the second innings, Bangladesh were all out for 318 runs, which seems to have been an extraordinary innings of Bangladesh even in the two Tests.

Bangladesh team has lost two consecutive Test matches against Sri Lanka team, mainly Bangladesh team has performed badly in terms of batting line and bowling line. If you perform like this, it will never be possible to win because the Bangladesh team could not put any pressure on the bowling side. Lahiru Kumara of Sri Lanka team has done such a good bowling performance that he has collected four wickets. Bangladesh entered the field as an opener for the team who did not perform well and later the other players did not perform well either. Mehdi Hasan Miraj is the only one who has performed well for the Bangladesh team who is fit to play Test matches.

I thought the Bangladesh team would be defeated by a bigger margin. However, due to the responsible batting of miraz, Bangladesh managed to reduce the risk of defeat. If the experienced batsmen of Bangladesh's top order had been able to bat well, maybe the result of the match would have been different.

The erratic performance of the batsmen of the Bangladesh team is the main weakness of Bangladesh and this is the reason why the team is lagging behind. The overall performance of the Bangladeshi bowlers has been much better than before. Only Bangladeshi batsmen have not seen any improvement in their performance in the last few years. As before, the performance of Bangladeshi batsmen is still erratic.

Bangladesh team bowled brilliantly in the second innings in the second test match against Sri Lanka, if Bangladesh could have bowled like this in the first innings then the Sri Lankan team could not have given such a big lead of 531 runs to Bangladesh. However, seeing the batting performance of the Bangladeshi batsmen is really disappointing. If the openers of the Bangladesh team could have batted like Mehdi Hasan Miraj, Bangladesh would have won the second test match against Sri Lanka.  Bangladesh lost the first test match very badly against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh team also lost the second test match badly against Sri Lanka.

Bangladesh cricket team took a bitter taste after losing another test match against Sri Lanka. Throughout this series between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, we have seen the batting and bowling performance of the Bangladesh team drop.As Shakib Al Hasan was not involved with Bangladesh in the first Test match, many thought that his absence might have weakened the Bangladesh team.However, even though Shakib Al Hasan joined the second Test match, he could not return the right position to the Bangladesh team with his batting and bowling performance.

Bangladesh's batting improved temporarily in the second Test match where Mehdi Hasan Miraj tried to fight alone.Mehdi Hasan Miraj remained unbeaten with 81 runs and two more batsmen like him should have played well then Bangladesh team could have fought evenly with Sri Lanka.

As expected, Bangladesh lost the 2nd test match by 192 runs. Bangladesh did show some resistance and scored more than I expected thanks to Mehidy Hasan Miraz's unbeaten 81 runs. BAN middle order got some start but could not convert it into a big score.  Lahiru Kumara was the pick of the bowler, he picked up 4 wickets while Kamindu Mendis also bowled well for his 3 wickets. Kamindu Mendis was declared player of the match because of his all-round performance. Sri Lanka won the series by 2-0.

Sri lanka easily won this second test match by 92 runs and won the series by 2-0. Bangladesh all out in 318 runs in 2nd innings only Bangladesh batter Mehidy Hasan Miraz well played scored 81 runs unbeaten from just 110 balls, just missed his well-deserved century by a few runs short but failed to chase down this huge target. The Player of the Match is Kamindu Mendis from Sri Lanka for his outstanding all-round batting and bowling performance in this test match. In the first inning they scored only 9 runs and also picked 3 wickets by giving 32 runs and in the second innings they scored 92 runs and remained unbeaten.

Bangladesh team managed to reduce their margin of defeat. The Bangladesh team was defeated by a margin of 192 runs. It is said for sure that Bangladesh will be defeated. Because in the first innings the Sri Lankan team collected a lot, but the batsmen of Bangladesh batted very badly in the first innings. While Sri Lanka scored 531 runs, Bangladesh scored only 178 runs.

Bangladesh is lagging behind in the Test format only because of the poor batting of their batsmen. The performance of every batsman in the squad is erratic. I do not see any improvement in Bangladesh's performance in the Test format unless the batting order improves.

The second test match of Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka team ended today, and Bangladesh team lost to Sri Lanka by 192 runs. We have seen that the Sri Lankan team was scoring a lot of runs on the first day due to which the Bangladesh team could bat more and reach that number later on. However, the batsmen of Bangladesh team tried to play well but could not survive today and did not succeed in meeting their target. Both the bowling and batting performances of the Sri Lankan team were excellent, due to which they easily put Bangladesh under pressure and beat them. In the first and second test match, Sri Lanka team won by a huge margin against Bangladesh, but Bangladesh team did not play well in any of the two test matches, but played badly and lost the team. If the Bangladesh team could have played from the first day like the runs they collected in today's match, then maybe there would have been some chance of winning against Sri Lanka. But the Sri Lanka team performed so well that they played the best on the first day and scored a huge score due to which the Bangladesh team did not succeed in advancing. After the game the result out of two test matches Sri Lankan team won two matches and Bangladesh team won no match they lost badly definitely for the next match Bangladesh should prepare better and improve the game.

Mehdi Hasan Miraj is suitable as the only patient batsman of Bangladesh team. He scored 81 runs off 110 balls and if his partnership with Khaled Ahmed can support him then there is a chance to build a longer partnership. But if the wicket is not protected there is a possibility of getting all out in a very short time as it is the last wicket. Still needing 193 runs for Bangladesh team to win, batting in the main stage is most responsible for losing this match.  If the batting king of the main phase could have performed better than Patience Sarkar then surely the chances of winning this match would have been much higher.

Bangladesh was not likely to win or draw this match, it was predicted after seeing Sri Lanka's first innings performance. The Bangladeshi bowlers bowled very badly in their first innings. Sri Lanka had a massive collection of 531. And the Bangladeshi batsmen's performance has been poor as usual in the Test format. And like the first test match, the Bangladeshi batsmen batted badly in the second match as well.

Mehedi Hasan Miraz and Hasan Mahmud are batting responsibly now. Miraz remains unbeaten with 73 runs. And Bangladesh collected 308 runs by losing 8 wickets. Sri Lanka will win this match. I don't see any possibility of the match being a draw. While Miraz is an experienced batsman, Hasan is not experienced enough.

Unfortunately, nowadays teams hardly opt for follow-on and it has become a norm. In recent times I also don't remember any follow on scenario. 4th inning pitch is never easy on spin track so can't blame the Lankans as well.

Oh well, at least Pathirana didn't celebrate that catch. It was a stunning catch tho, maybe a brain fade moment from the young speedster. 

SriLanka just need 3 more wickets with the whole day ahead of them, to win the series. While Bangladesh, with 3 wickets in hand, need to score 243 more runs to win. Mehidy Hasan Miraz is key for Bangladesh's survival as he's the set batsman closing in on another half century. Is it a foregone conclusion with very few wickets remaining?

I don't see any possibility of Bangladesh winning. Bangladesh still need 243 runs to win, Bangladesh have only 3 wickets which is impossible. If we want to draw the match, we have to survive the whole day today but it is impossible for Bangladesh to survive the whole day. Taijul Islam and Mehidy Hasan Miraz are unbeaten and if their pair breaks, Bangladesh will be all out quickly. It is certain that Sri Lanka will win this test as well. Bangladesh are going to lose the Test series 2-0 at home.

Bangladesh team did not perform well in the beginning of this test match, but they performed well in the end. Although victory is not possible according to this performance, 268 runs for 7 wickets have been collected so far. As Saathi's wickets have fallen now the attacking batting is no longer the only reliance on Mehdi Meraj, if Mehdi Meraj gets out then the Bangladesh team will have a high chance of going all out. Because the Bangladesh team still need to score 243 runs to win but it would be foolish to expect the Bangladesh player to win this match at this last time.

It is sad to see Bangladesh struggling in this match but all in vane. Their batters are having hard time and losing important wickets has made things tough for them. It does not look like remaining batters can score enough runs to be competitive. Bowlers did better in second inning of game but it was too late to make big difference. If they had bowled better in first inning match might have gone differently. Even though they got some wickets later on not having enough wickets might make it hard for them to win. Bangladesh fans must be feeling frustrated and we'll have to wait and see how they deal with challenges ahead.
