I hope so this issue will get resolved so many people want to see this happening. Still uncertain situation but there is good sign the team will find the reasonable solution which will be acceptable for all and dev will continue to working on this platform.

well not everybody is willing to buy IOUs
I disagree that the IOUs don't reflect what the price will be. Yes, past IOUs on hitbtc were nowhere close to the actual price but this is a different situation. These IOUs are high in volume and have been trading for months. I don't expect the price upon release to be exactly the same as the IOUs the day before release, but I think the initial price will be within 25% of the IOU price.
The iou market price is less than current btc+bcg+bch value for ico participants, so if anyone dumps for that they will be facing a loss vs not buying the ico. By the time xtz finally launches the btc price may be over $20k and the same logic applies. So, hopefully for them the price does better than the current iou market is showing. Once XTZ gets released it will be like the 2nd coming. All this fresh capital in the space is looking for the next ETH/NEO/IOTA which hasn't pumped yet. Tezos is it.
Regarding how much new and fresh money is streaming in the scene i would agree to that. Especially most exchanges will list instantaneous i think

Exactly it's just one item to sell. The beneficiaries of the transaction are traders and trading floors. IOU transactions are also a strategy to promote, attracting attention. Tezos will be one of the best coins, its features are amazing, it has some ballers backing the project too. They only have to sort out the foundation issue and we gonna moon bois, tezos is a heavyweight baby.
Lets hope they deliver a great product. I know he is one of the best devs out there, but with all this problems raising, who knows what could happen. If they deliver, it will be one of the best blockchains...will see.
