Going to update the list soon. The toll reached a million dollars. His personal information will be posted very soon here.

If we have a crime committed in excess of $1 million (US, Australian or Cdn for that matter), we have something newsworthy that police, prosecutors, judges and the media will be interested in.  Bitcoin is front page news now and this is too.  It is ultimately good for people to know that bitcoin is not crime-proof and that criminals will be brought to justice - by due process - in the bitcoin world also.
if UKYO going to jail, I might really never see my BTC again...the thing is I hope he can facing this problem, and come here to discuss with us ,tell us what did he do with our coins and the loans, and how much he can cover to pay back...things should be negotiate with a solution... But up to today, he just simply disappear ,I think this only will making things worse !!

quickly.

Hi, mmm I want to explain something if I may, you see, Slow, Fast, slowly, quickly, only work if you have another to compare to. So can you give us an example of what you think is jumping to judgement on a normal pace, fast pace, and slow pace.

In my humble personal opinion if a guy handles millions and lock one away suddenly we are entitled to ask him about them and when is he going to give them back, If about a month has passed with no real solution then he disappears for a couple of days with a million dollars he was entrusted to, I would freak out!

But you disagree, dear sir. So what is your personal opinion about jumping to judgement on a normal non-quick pace?

As I see it we have two choices:

The first, is to bring this matter into the real world - for us to find out who Ukyo is and to bring forward suit against him in the jurisdiction in which he resides.  If local authorities are willing to press criminal charges even better.  Then we make our case in a court of law and that is what I was saying was a slow but just process.

The second, given the scale of funds involved here (and there are still a lot of assets in bitfunder that need to be transferred upon its closing) is for the bitcoin community to develop some sort of: 1) recourse by identifying the stolen coins if they remain in his possession and 2) implementing a mechanism to prevent this type of theft in the future.  Our community is still young and its value has skyrocketed without the infrastructure we see in old-world finance.

Frankly, a big lesson learned here is that anonymity is a double edged sword, especially where trust is involved.  If we want to see bitcoin remain something where we are anonymous, we need to implement technologies that never require that we trust anyone.

I am in favour of pursuing both options - those of us who are willing to come out into the real world should do so and sue the person that is Ukyo.  And in addition, we need a new set of bitcoin businesses where no money is trusted entirely to the hosting provider of that service.

I'm in with ~ 8 BTC. That's bad. But those guys, that are in with 100 and more. I really, really feel sorry for them. That is very hard.

I'm curious what will happen to the remaining AM PT's and other securities in BF.

I forgot... ukyo being a board member of Asicminer isnt a relieve since he sold this shares practically as Passthrough Shares... he still have the shares but got the bitcoins for them from other users and is paying out the divs instead. He still has to own the shares since it would be noticed if the div-address was changed.
But this way his board seat is no indicator that he has enough money.
He sold AM shares to Rockiex (another board member in AM) and Rockiex paid him about 250 BTC for that transaction in last month, but I do not know what exactly  how many shares of AM had been sold for that 250 BTC, however I remember that after this transaction someone was successfully redeem his loan for 40 BTC with UKYO... I do not know wether UKYO is sold other's pass-through or his own shares, because I was seen someone post that the PASS THROUGH in BF is not same as it according to Friedcat in forum or the Chinese Group chat. (I can't remember exactly ,it been a while).

I am really worry about our wealth , seems all things shows that less likely he does continually processing manual  withdraws , and there are nobody post over forum says get back his/her BTC out from WeEx.

Also if Great is the director of WeEx and BF, he must knows somethings. I really hope anyone in this forum get contact with Great as him to explains what happen with WeEx.. We can't let this situation continuing ,the more time take ,the more risk and more less likely we will get our Coins back as well as the coins lent to UKYO and Great.

There was a list of shares connected to bitcoin addresses where the divs should flow in. And i think it should be known what of these addresses belong to ukyo's passthrough. When this number of shares didnt drop then he didnt sell the PT direct shares.

This weeks AM divs are not yet credited on BF. Not that it would change anything. It seems that nothing happens at all.

coins deposited in BF that sit idle has been seen moving to gox addresses.

then we had better left our coins at bf and now could use them ? what a pity

maybe ukyo can return our btc to bf and then send directly to any address ?

Bitfunder has no own bitcoin wallet. Bitfunder bitcoins were all the time in weexchange. The thought behind was to divide the business with the wallet website. Thats why weexchange was created from the first start.

Thats why there cant be a "bitfunder bitcoin address". Maybe freebits speaks about user addresses at bitfunder that are owned by the customers? That wouldnt have anything to do with weexchange then.

Information we obtained, We now have digital copies of the company's documents. We have the legal name and personal information of Ukyo and Graet (Graet is kinda known to begin with Smiley ). Yet we don't know how to use such information to pursue the retrieval of our money.

any suggestions? I will ask my source if I am allowed to post the info here.

Sounds interesting. Are you able to share/post/PM these documents?

The most I found out was that his name is possibly Jon/John Montroll - not sure if this is his real or pseudo name.. (Haha - MonTroll -MoneyTroll ??)

No idea what can officially be done. Here in UK, banks/government seem to be treating the whole BitCOin thing very strangely indeed - I've heard of people being refused Company accounts/business bank accounts purely on the basis that it has something to do with Bitcoins.

Not sure what the Australian laws are towards BitCoin or money fraud. e.g. If this was normal money and we had a supposedly and investor/business who ran off with a few million of clients money, then surely the ASIC(Australian Securities and Investments Commission) might get involved. But not sure if this would cover Bitcoins as may or may not be recognised as an actual currency etc..

Basically have no idea what can be done...
