Brady the goat is back as predicted hehehe. He is not playing in San Francisco as speculated, however. That would have created a more exciting preseason trade and another exciting situation on the beginning of the regular season on September. We cannot have everything hehe.

In any case, Brady will certainly be in my draft list again on our next fantasy football. When are we going to begin this?

These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG

Lol he's already tired of being non rostered.  I wonder what the change in odds is post announcement.  Wish I made a bet on them after he first announced.  Well as a giant fan it makes no difference whose on top 😂

I’m not so sure about this, they first reported that he had signed a four year 200 million contract (150 guaranteed) but then he took to twitter saying those reports were false and that he was just reporting that he was coming back for at least just one year. I’m not sure they’ve even announced what that one year payment is going to be.

Yeah but he has a tenuous relationship with the truth, doesn't he?

I'd be shocked if he settled for less than Mahomes.

As a Bears fan I’ve got no love for that guy lol. It’s been brutal having two divas who were/are incredibly good top 10 all time players, who are douchey divas (one being a pervert).

Rodgers staying with Green Bay

He got what he wanted, allegedly the highest-paid player now. Doesn't seem to be concerned with winning - no a lot of cap space left for other players.

I'm sure Giants will go to SB next year with Trubisky.

Kick me in the nads why don't you.  Teams making moves and giants on the block for mitch lol.  No doubt they are an insta favorite if they land mitch.giants better fix their line this year otherwise they will need to dress 5 to 6 qbs to make sure they have someone left at the end of the game that knows how to throw the egg.

I still don’t think they’ve announced what Rodgers is getting paid for the one year he’s agreed to. He did get more of he wanted though, tagging Adams, bringing in an old QB coach I believe. He’ll destroy the North and NFC again per usual, I hate him.

In other news Kalil Mack getting traded was a big one. Wasn’t completely unexpected. Not sure what to think of it really. I guess the Bears likely will suck next year so trade a guy in the final years of his prime, and build for the future .

It seems a bit harsh with the decision to suspend Ridley indefinitely, i know they have it in the CBA and players are well aware that they are not allowed to bet on games etc. Idk, betting $1.5k on a few parlays while dude was away from the team, at the same time the NFL cashes in billions of dollars through sponsorship deals with major sports betting companies. Owners allegedly trying to pay coaches to lose games on purpose, referring to Stephen Ross and the Dolphins. Beating someone, such as your girlfriend/fiancé, gets you a 2/4 game suspension, throw a few bucks on your team to win and you're done:

“Your actions put the integrity of the game at risk” - Roger Goodell

Anyways, what's everyone's first reaction to the recent QB trades and moves? Rodgers staying with Green Bay, Wilson to the Broncos, Wentz traded to Washington, back in the NFC East. Rumors are the Giants are interested in Trubisky, Colts in Jimmy G...

Quote from: ESPN
Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley has been suspended for at least the 2022 season after gambling on games in 2021.

Actually what caught my eye is a bit deeper in the article:

Quote
The NFL learned of Ridley's betting activity through its relationships within the legal sports betting industry

Lesson for all NFL players - if you want to gamble, find an illegal casino.

I got this news alert on my phone late yesterday afternoon. Part of me feels bad for this guy. No one knows what he’s truly going through with his year off of football already. He did only get $1500 on a few parlays and when he bet for the Falcons in those parlays he always bet ON the Falcons (would have been really ugly had it been the opposite). Also to his credit is stepping up and being honest about it the moment Goodell asked him about it. Hope he’s okay mentally is all.

Lesson for all NFL players - if you want to gamble, find an illegal casino.

Lol right.

We laughed at Covid Cam, however was he in the right side of science? I am presently beginning to speculate that everything that has happened for the last 2 years was done for these pharaceutical companies to sell more vaccines that do not really work and which are also unnecessary.

NFL, NFLPA agree to suspend joint COVID-19 protocols

The NFL and the NFL Players Association have agreed to halt all aspects of their joint COVID-19 protocols, effective immediately.

Operations will return to normal following nearly two years of restrictions, the league relayed in a memo on Thursday, obtained by NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

It is a long-awaited awaited announcement as there will be no more requirements for masks, tracking devices, surveillance testing or capacity limits, unless they are required by state or local laws.

In any case, this is the lastest news from Tom Brady. When will the teams begin trading for players? What is the situation on Jimmy G and Trey Lance? Is Trey Lance ready to be the quarterback?

Now, Brady is adding more fuel to this speculation. The quarterback appeared with Fred Couples on SiriusXM radio and Couples asked him this question: "Maybe you can tell us where you're going?"

To that, Brady gave a labyrinthine answer that does seem to leave the door open a smidge.

"I tell you, I wish I had a clear vision of what the future holds," said Brady, via Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. "I think for me, there's a lot of great things and a lot of great opportunities that I know I said right after football season. I was looking forward to spending time with my family. And I've done that the last five weeks. And I know there'll be a lot more of that, too.

"So, you know, I like staying busy, that's for sure. I played a little bit of golf and I'm actually gonna see my parents tonight, which will be a real highlight for me on their turf. I'll be sleeping in the same bed I slept at when I was a kid. I don't think my mom knows I'm coming home yet. So it's just between my dad and I, it is a little bit of a surprise. So looking forward to that, looking forward to some golf in the next few days and some more family time, and then we'll figure out where we go from there."

Great game and a great way to close out the season with another game down to the end.  Was one of the better playoffs this year than I've seen in years past.  A lot of great teams in the afc those playoffs should be great for years to come.  Onto the draft!  Giants got 2 of the first 7.  It's a start...

It was definitely a good game. I figured that the Rams were going to win but something was just telling me that I should bet on the Bengals. What I’m trying to say is I had no idea who was going to win lol. I had Cincy at + 4.5 so that obviously worked out well. I’m not going to lie though my favorite part of that game was the halftime show. I absolutely loved it which seems to be the consensus.

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
Congratulations to Rams fans and bettors hehe. My bet was on the Bengals, however, I am also very happy for Matt Stafford. Everyone appears to have thought that he was not a good player because he did not bring good results with the Detroit Lions. Was there anything to be expected for being a quarterback in Detroit?
I will admit that I was underestimating Stafford, I knew the Lions were bad but I did thought that he was just one of those QBs that put great stats and that was it, but he was in fact the difference maker and pulled out a great drive just when his team need it, so while the Rams had to give away a lot to bring him there now we can see they were justified in doing so despite the criticism they received at the beginning of the season for that trade.

It might be a cliche but i think we will see a lot of what happened last year with Bucs defense dominating the line of scrimmage and Mahomes running for his life. Burrow has already been sacked the most of all QBs this season, and i don't see any scenario in which the Bengals' o-line can magically improve and consistently stop/contain Donald and Von Miller.

At lot of money coming in on the Bengals, surprising.  I know the kid is good but the Rams pass rush should frustrate them all day.  Wonder what a super motivated Aaron Donald pass rush looks like.  In the beginning of the week I was leaning Bengals.  Have the Bengals straight but the Rams in a parlay so I'm good either way it goes (so long as the other 2 legs of the parlay hit lol).  What's everyone thinking today?

But at this point all of this is nothing more but baseless speculation. Smiley

Dude has everything. Goes out on top. GOAT forever.

Versus gambling for one more SB ring or a possible injury or just having a bad frustrating season and tarnishing his stats/reputation/etc.

I hope Gisele puts her foot down and keeps him retired. As for money, he can still make many millions with ads and merchandise and maybe working in broadcasting or coaching or whatever tickles him.

I mean 7 champions (more than any one franchise has) Victoria secret wife, model looks, likely few hundred million net worth , and can do any job on the planet he wants or absolutely nothing for the rest of his life ..ehh I guess I’d be okay with this legacy lol. He could play a few more years and totally suck though, his legacy is cemented but .. Assuming he’s got no signs of CTE or very little, why risk it any further. Goat legacy in tact and wifey has wanted him to quit for years, imagine he’d be sleeping on the couch for a while if he changes his mind.

Wonder if he’ll have a crypto.com super bowl commercial this year, hoping so!

Where can we bet on predicting the correct score for the superbowl? I am not superstitious, however, I would like to make a bet on the Simpsons’ prediction on the Bengals winner with the correct of 34-31 hehehe. It appears that the show has predicted the superbowl correctly 3 times already according to social media.

DraftKings and FanDuel have and offer odds for correct score, the crypto sportsbooks popular in this forum probably don't, the ones that i checked didn't have it.

Simpsons' prediction at DK is valued at 81.00, pretty decent odds right there. Personally, i'd be looking at something like Rams 30:20 Bengals (@150), i think Rams win and cover comfortably.  Tongue

I'll be rooting for Cincinnati, but I'm not going to place a bet on them.  I think this is going to be a slaughter, TBH.

'Mattress Mack' places record $5M bet on Bengals, has $9.5M total on Cincinnati to beat Rams

^ it's the Rams!  Grin  I feel like this dude is laundering money or something, the last two years he has bets (public ones) close to 20mil if not more...crazy.

WTF is up with mattress shops, is this really a thing?  A buddy of mine recently mentioned it as if it's common knowledge that all mattress shops are fronts for money laundering.  It makes sense in this case, I mean how many mattresses can this guy be selling in the "Houston area?"  I reckon not enough to squander $10M a spots bet.  Laundering money for the cartel would be my guess.

This dude is famous for it.  It's a hedge bet.  He offers if X team wins the superbowl (or world series) that he will refund your mattress purchase.  Old dude been doing it for awhile in Texas.  So he makes bets depending on how much he is out to lose so that he makes a profit still.  He works on volume.
