FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that is all.

ARSB picked up an injury, not sure if he finished the game. Kupp was in a walking boot after the Rams game, Engram pulled a hammy in warmups, and Tua with a concussion...that's on top of Mostert and KWIII's injuries from Week 1. Shiiit!!! If one of my guys gets injured i'm straight up not having a good time, dealing with this many injuries so early in the season is insane. Stay strong!  Grin

So much scoring that they couldn't fit his receiving yards, rec touchdown, and rec first downs in the box score. Lol  I might actually survive this if Bijan does not put up similar numbers, but 180 total yards and 4 touchdowns is wild, and it was against the supposedly "good" Cowboys defense. It reminds me of Kamara scoring six touchdowns a few years back, which happened to be Championship Week if i recall correctly.

Yeah it's brutal.  With that being said I've hit a new low as a giants fan.  They scored 3 touchdowns and the commanders didn't score 1 single touchdown and the giants lose.  Lol I don't know if that's ever been done before.  Is there a site to look up these kind of stats.  It's beyond rediculous and if it wasn't for fantasy football I'd already be out of watching this season.  Waste of another Sunday properly done lol.

According to nbcsports, only the second time in history:

source: https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/giants-are-second-team-in-nfl-history-to-score-3-tds-allow-0-tds-and-lose
Quote
In today's 21-18 loss to the Commanders, the Giants scored three touchdowns, allowed zero touchdowns, and still lost the game. It was only the second time in NFL history that a team lost while scoring three touchdowns and allowing none. The only other time it happened was in 1989, when the Vikings beat the Rams 23-21.

I was wondering why the Giants were going for it so many times on fourth downs, turns out Gano was injured and they didn't have a backup kicker.

The line did move to -8.5 over the past few days, then back to -9 just now, as I was placing my bet. Raiders blow this year, Ravens are at home and also something to consider is they lost their first game so they'll be out for blood.

Fuck. How embarrassing. Not just for me but for Baltimore and Lamar Jackson as well. Well, the upside is I won games in both my fantasy leagues (even with Jackson as QB and accidentally starting Mostert in my other league). I try to hedge my happiness by placing bets.

I didn't realize both the Bears and Texans won their first games. So what I wrote off as being a dud of a game was actually highly entertaining. Though I still don't care for either of their quarterbacks.

1st pick curse and Madden cover curse. This might be the beginning of continuous injuries for McCaffrey, I reckon. In any case, how is Eli Brady's Justin Jefferson pick?

That was exactly why I avoided him in my drafts... Though of course it always sucks to see a star sidelined, as too many have been already and we're not even finished with Week 2.

Eli-2 Brady-0 vs. Moon Coiners matchup was fun as a neutral on MNF.  Coiners were on the verge of making a dramatic comeback, fucking Jake Moody with 26 fantasy points outscoring everyone on both teams, including benches. G. Wilson's eight-yard rec in garbage time was the decider. I'm glad it wasn't me, it's too early in the season for heartbreak. Lol

The kicker being the best player on my team is quite telling isn't it LOL

It also says something about the overhyped niners (sorry Dire) kicking a bunch of 40+ yard field goals against the goddamn Jets.

This is why a lot of leagues have voted to do away with kickers (and some also doing away with defenses).  I personally remove kickers from the leagues I manage as I try and set leagues up in a manner where you remove as much luck from the game as possible.  Kickers tend to just score points on a lucky whim, not that there aren't good kickers whom score more often than others, but a lot of it is just luck based on the game script.  I have Dallas' kicker and dude dropped 21 pts ..not fair imo.

Hence my vote to remove kickers next year lol.

I like that idea would have made last week a lot less stressful lol.  With that being said a couple notes about last nights game: Tua should retire.  In all honesty dudes brains are gonna be marbles in a couple years if he keeps taking  hits like that.  Obviously that cranium can't take hits like others can.  Second is achane is an absolute monster, and was a value anywhere after top 2.  Yeah I said it.  He will likely end up RB1 even without Tua.  Dude is sneaky quick and has sick vision.  Week 2..let's go!

DejaVu right, we had this exact discussion last year early on. Tua said this offseason he contemplated retirement. Absolutely no question he should hang it up. Hes already got CTE.  With so many brains having been studied now, lot easier to “know” for a good certainty. If I were him I would read the story of Vincent Jackson’s final weeks of his life over and over until I quit. I know you remember VJax Wheelz. Loved watching him at Raymond James when I lived in Tampa. Died in a hotel room down the street from his house where he was secluding himself he was so fd up. Died sitting up in a chair. Took cleaning staff a few days to realize he wasn’t sleeping. No fn thx.

Wheelz I respect your sports knowledge big time, but gotta go strongly against that take. IMO Achane had no shot at 1 overall even if Tua was healthy. Breece or Saquon my picks. My dark dark horse..JK Dobbins. Achane damn good tho and fast af.

Oh and wheelz wasn’t that you who brought up me drafting Chubb 1 overall last year in this years draft. Mf CMC “likely” to go on IR, hasn’t played a snap. I mean f me!   CMC going for the Jamaal Charles award of best RBs ever, easily HOF level players, who just can’t stay on the field. 😩

Yeah Jamal Charles, dam the Chiefs pumped out a lot of good "who are they" running backs back then..   agreed if he could just stay on the field.  Same with achane if he can stay on the field he is an automatic 20 points plus.  Now they are getting him into the passing game now.  Yeah breece was in my top 2, barkley is dead to me as a giants fan lol.  I can see achame ending up rb1-3 this year, again health is key.

And yeah man that Vincent Jackson story sucked.  It sucks but you habe to walk away.  Any hit can be that last one, just not worth it.  I hope he considers peacing out

IMO Charles is a top 10 RB anyhow , should be in HOF. FAR better than many RBs already there. guys like Emmitt Smith (you know he rushed over 5ypc in just ONE season).  I think CMC is HOF worthy too. Shouldn’t always just be about length feel like. Sayers got in, after all.

Shit man, Saquon didn’t do you dirty, your shit franchise did (I can say that because you know who my franchise is lol).

Fckn Yahoo (not you Yahoo, the other one lol ). Look how many times they emailed me to tell me my comment was rejected. 1 comment. The comment “drafted Chubb 1st last year, CMC this year, why does god hate me”

Reason 10k to leave next year.  I wonder id it’s possible to get banned. I’ll keep yall posted on that lol

Agreed.  Giants picked to pay jones instead of saquon, we could have resented with a new quarterback.  Now we are gonna have to do both.  And yeah agreed.  Not sure how cmc's future lands but if he can keep on the field for a bit more I can see him hitting the hall of fame. Crazy he went on the IR and not much coming from the San Fran camp on the injury at all.  1st pick curse is alive and real.

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
I seen a report on TheHerd the day after Tua went down saying that he could still clear over 100 million dollars if he were to retire today. It's a no brainer IMO. Who couldn't be happy with 100 million in the bank and still mostly healthy?

If he decides to continue playing he is risking more injuries that are already going to come to him later in life. CTE, memory loss, dizziness, amnesia, and more. Who knows how serious the long term effects can be.
That would be a logical move but I doubt it will happen, in order to get to the NFL a person needs to be incredibly competitive, especially someone with all the injury issues Tua had, then if he takes the decision to keep playing he will have to change his style of play completely and become a statue like Marino, and while some fans may argue the game has changed and this is not an effective style of quarterbacking anymore, I am certain that if Marino played today, he will break all the QB passing records.

Try changing it to "why has the lord forsaken me?"

Our Father, who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy gridiron come
Thy will be done
On the ground as it is in the air
Give us this running back, our weekly spread
And lead us to victory in our football of fantasy
Amen

It's a no brainer IMO.

Man, so sad about Tua. He could be done permanently now. All to pick up a few lousy yards. Of course he should have slid forward on his butt, feet first instead of head first. Oops. Honestly can't blame him if he wants to retire. He was already having problems as the result of his previous concussions.

Honestly, I thought he should have retired after the last one.  That weird motion with his arm was scary AF, and I guess it happened again on Thursday.  I was barely watching the game at that point and didn't see the hit, and I didn't feel like seeing after hearing the horror in the announcers' voices.  Tua is likely to suffer life long affects from those concussions, and I'm not sure he can survive a third one without becoming a vegetable.

What's the most obvious pick for this week? Baltimore over Las Vegas by 10 pts? I'm thinking that could be the one.

Those big spreads scare me unless it's to take the underdog to cover.  However, there's way too much going against the Raiders for me to consider that with money on the line.  First and foremost, we're talking about the Raiders.  Second, West Coast teams tend to suck lemons in the Eastern time zone.  Third, it's the Raiders.  All that makes me think it's a good bet, but then I start thinking we're also talking about the Ravens.  Do I trust the ravens to cover?  That's a large spread, and I'm not sure I can trust the Ravens on that one.  My sprots book has the Ravens -8.5 @ 1.86.  I don't know why, but 9 points seems more reasonable than 10, lol.  I'm still undecided, I might throw a peanut or two at it.  The one big spread I was thinking was a safer bet is TB to cover +7.5 at Detroit.

But the one I'm mainly considering is the Patriots ML @2.36.  Again, WC team on the East Coast, Seattle looked like shit against the Broncos last week and barely won despite a shit ton of mistakes.  On the other hand Patriots surprised everyone beating a supposed powerhouse, and this will be their home opener with some momentum and swagger.

I put a bet in on halftime for Dolphins to cover 10.5 pts, thinking there's no way it could get worse for them. Boy was I wrong.

Believe me, I'm right there with you on that assessment.  In fact I said the same thing to my brother while watching the game.  If I can't be critical of my home team (and take the trashtalk) I have no business being a football fan or talking trash about any other team.  It's not for the thin-skinned, that's for sure.

that is all.

My sentiments exactly, only with a question mark.  We both had similar results from our QBs, but for obviously different reasons.

I am very much disappointed on mr. immunized Aaron on having a performance that was without the very much hyped Rodgers resurgence. I thought +4 would on the Jets will win against 49ers without McCaffrey hehehehe. This rookie Jordan Mason was a good replacement.

In any case, on the very important news on why I am presently posting here. Taylor Swift has officially endorsed Kamala Harris! Travis is very shocked and feeling very betrayed heheheh! He should officially endorse Trump to reclaim his manhood!
