Is it just me or does the Bears offense really suck that bad? I couldn't believe what I was watching and I really thought that they would cover the spread but no they couldn't even score in the 4th quarter. To be honest it was hard to watch. I hope I have a better week this week because this past Sunday and then last night was my worse for the season so far.
The offense is indeed terrible it was painful to watch when they had some good chances to tie the game with a touchdown but only convert most of their possession to field goals. They had some signs of life after a quick touchdown return in the third quarter but after that it was all Vikings as they barely get any first downs in the second half. Their defense was amazing in getting some good stops though.

Moving on to TNF I slightly like the Cardinals after their clutch win against the Bills but the Seahawks will probably take it since they're still undefeated at home.

It was another rough Sunday for me as I only hit with the Browns winning but the rest of the game I bet on all lost. I was not expecting the Ravens to lose to the Pats and my Eagles let me down so we won't talk about that game lol. I do like the Bears tonight to cover the spread at +3.5 Good luck everyone.
Same I was up about 3-5 units during the afternoon games then blew it all on the Ravens game.

I'll be going with the Bears and the plus points as well hope the Bears offense put up enough points to cover. Last time I took them was against the Rams and it was one of their worst performance.  Lips sealed

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
Wtf happened to them Eagles?
It was a collapse on both sides of the Ball! Defense was oit of sync! Offense was out sync! And why did the go for the 2point conversion? Kicking the extra point would have made them trail by 3. Terrible coaching. Bad bad game!
Welcome to the beautiful and senseless world of Sabermetrics! Baseball fans have suffered those fools for a long time and now it seems no content with ruining baseball they are coming to football to try to ruin it too. On paper it makes sense, now that the extra point is not a sure thing and assuming you have an equal or higher than 50/50 chance to make the 2 point conversion then over the long term you will score more points by always going for the 2 point conversion.

But those numbers should only be a guide, they do not take into account the psychological effects on the players, they know that getting the point there puts them at a FG distance from the NYG and by failing then now they know they have to score a TD which is a lot harder, especially if the offence has been having problems all season, so they get discouraged, is it surprising they did not score at all after failing the 2 point conversion? Not really.

@morvillz7z. Bad loss for the Bills. They were winning the game. Sad

In any case, NFL experts why is there only -7 handicap for the Ravens? There should be -10.5, I reckon.

Murray to Hopkins hail mary though, sheesh!  Shocked

So close... Brown did have a good game, just not as good as you were hoping. I have to say, its "good" to see him back in action (despite all his drama and the roadblocks created by his personality). He's gonna be a great asset for TB so long as he can stop himself from doing anything too stupid off field.

I didn't watch the game, but too bad he didn't get that TD that i needed. Brady was looking for him, 8 targets today, that's not bad, second after Mike Evans.

Rest of my prop bets also lost (some were close others not so much), i'm left with this 6 acca picking the favorites to win, and need Baltimore to win! They get back Ingram, so please let me have this one... Grin

Terrible coaching. Bad bad game!

Hehe, Pedersen does this all the time and I kind of like it, because I think it has value, but at that point it was really a bad decision with no urgency at all Grin

Looks like I will lose all my bets for today. Panthers were only good for one quarter and Bridgewater really must be the most QB boring all-time. One can also feel, that he is still kind of scared after his terrible inury.
Steelers show no mercy with Bengals and I don't believe Seattly can make a comeback from being 13-23 down early in Q4.

Nice game by Alex Smith today, too bad they lost it in the end with a 59yd FG by Prater as time expired Tongue

my prop bet for this game: Bucs ml + Brown Anytime score+ Brady 2+ pass TD total odds 3.78

Seahawks ML @2.30

I thought for sure Seattle would be the favorites on this game, but nope. Even as a Rams fan I think this is a solid bet... though Rams did just take the lead again in the 1st quarter.

Tua Tagvailoa (sp) seems to be off to another good start, beating the Chargers 14-0 thus far. He's gonna be fun to watch for the rest of the season.

I didn't have a bet on the Packers vs Jags game but man it made me sweat so hard since nearly everyone including myself had the Packers in all of my survivor pool entries.

I'm taking the Seahawks too, both teams lost their last match and Rams on a bye week if anything the odds should be close to 50-50.

For SNF i'm leaning on the Ravens o24 team total and the 1st half spread (-3). If the Jets manage to put up 27 I think the Ravens could do more.

^Buccaneers have missing players at OL, Brady's protection vs Saints was pretty crap, don't think it will be any better today.
I also read that they had their flight delayed for 7 hours but it's hard to pick against the them in this one, odds are nice though so gl!

my prop bet for this game: Bucs ml + Brown Anytime score+ Brady 2+ pass TD total odds 3.78

a few other bets that i have going today:

D.Jones 20+ rush yards + 1+ fumble lost total odds 2.20 (yes i will be watching the nfc least, rooting for Giants to win)
D.Adams Anytime Score + A.Jones Anytime Score + A.Jones 55+ rush yards total odds 2.90
T.Lockett 50+ rec yards + Wilson 2+ pass TDs total odds 2.30 (i don't know if Seahawks can win with that swiss cheese defense, but Lockett is primed to have a good game)

Whats up with all those late games, only 5 early games Tongue

Panthers ML @3.30
Carolina is a bit Jekyll and Hyde in regards to home/away performance. As said earlier, I like what the Panthers are doing recently and these odds are too high in a divisional matchup. You would expect the Bucs to bounce back big time in this one after getting humiliated by the Saints last week. With a gun to my head, I would pick TB, but 2.50-ish for Panthers would be more reasonable, so value for me at these odds I get.

Seahawks ML @2.30
Had to check, if Wilson got sick over night, but nope, he is playing. Still undecided about the Rams this season, their last game/loss @Dolphins was a bit unlucky with basically nothing going their way. This will be their first real test after playing lots of mediocre teams lately and doing a bit so and so in these. I trust the Seahawks more to grind this out and would have expected the SEA odds to be lower than 2 max. Probably not a lot of value, but this will be a good game, so have to have some bet^^

Bengals ML @3.60
Steelers are due for a loss imo; they are winning, but it's not super convincing to me and the Bengals do very good for their standards imo. They lost a lot of close ones, which is kind of expected with a rookie at QB. This could be a blowout by the Steelers, but my gut feeling tells me, that CIN will be able to keep it close till the end.
Big Ben has been cleared from Covid-list and will play tonight.

-

There are some other bets I like, but not sure, if I will play any of these: Giants ML @2.80, GB over 30.5 TT @1.91, Texans ML @2.75, Bills ML @2.15.

If anyone is saying the players themselves are tanking, then they are fools.

I think there is one scenario, when the players are actually likely to tank or not giving their best effort and that is when the coach has lost the locker room and players want to have him gone. This is maybe more common in soccer, but I wouldn't rule out that these things also exist in NFL. Probably no active tanking, but under the given circumstances you can't give 100% and you don't bother about it, you are just not motivated to go over the limit for that coach. I guess everyone knows this feeling from their own job at times. But you can never prove tanking anyway.....

Nobody tanks on purpose.  Hey Joe go in and throw a pick isn't a conversation that happens sorry it just doesn't.  Flaccos future is on the line, he isn't going to throw it away so the Jets can draft their future quarterback.  The only way a team can tank is by putting subpar players on the field that you know can't compete at this level and win.  The jets just suck simple as that.  A lot of bad teams lose leads late because...they suck.

Exactly.  Players don't tank ( 99% of them anyway, we know that at some point players have been involved, but this is of course very rare) owners, general managers and coaches do.  Normally it's more so just the owner and general manager who tank by not providing a competitive level of players for the coach to coach.

If anyone is saying the players themselves are tanking, then they are fools.

I reckon this proves that the Colts defense is really one of the best in the NFL this year. I have read many punters doubting it in the beginning of the season.

They are first in opponent yards per game, third in opponent points per game, and you got their special teams step up last night with blocked punt TD to basically win the game. Not bad but against a team like the Ravens they couldn't generate any offense, completely shut down, and with T. Y. Hilton and Zach Pascal being their primary wide outs i think it's going to be tough in the playoffs.

<...>but i went with C.Davis 35+ receiving yards + Z.Pascal 25+ receiving yards.

I was on the Colts and to be honest I was a bit worried about my bet in the first half... but after seeing this morning that the Titans got shut out in the 2nd half...
Not expected!  Cheesy

Holy cow, enough with the Jets talk already, literally the most debated team around here and that's wrong on so many levels.

Hopefully my luck on prop bets turns for the better and get a second win here. Grin

Good luck with your pick, i wouldn't mind if Tannehill throws a few passes towards my guy C.Davis tonight.

AFC South is meh division, these two play each other again later this month, if i have to chose i'd probably go with Titans to win even though they dropped two of the last three games.
I watched Colts on Sunday, they couldn't put anything on offense, Rivers was bad, 25/43 1 interception and zero TDs.
Under also looks good in my eyes (49.5) but i went with C.Davis 35+ receiving yards + Z.Pascal 25+ receiving yards.

One last thing, can we all agree that's the best interception you have ever seen?  Grin
