I want to join for near the lower part of the .003 - .005 range. I am only a casual fan and I only want to have fun while watching the games. This will also be my first time to play fantasy football, I might only be wasting some coins hehehehe.

i'm good with 0.003-0.005 BTC too. non ppr is fine. i'm good with yahoo or ESPN.

the only thing i'm worried about is making the live draft. my schedule is kinda wonky lately. i don't mind handicapping myself with an auto-draft, but not sure if this is possible in a live draft league?

I regret to say that I don't think I'll have time for a fantasy league this year.  

I've been scarce on the forum lately due to a hectic work schedule, and it looks like it's going to stay that way.  All this hard work is about to pay off though, so I'm not too bummed about it.  My boss recommended me for a promotion, which it looks like I'll get.  Of course that means more travel for training and visits to other company facilities in the next few months, not to mention the added responsibilities.  And that leads to even less time for the forum.

I know I'm the one that floated the idea originally but I'm afraid I'm gonna have to back out :/ sorry

Am gonna be traveling a lot in the upcoming months and would be a drag to play with, as I can't give it my all. You guys should certainly feel free to continue without me, or else maybe join the other forum fantasy league -- pretty sure there is one. Again, my apologies.

I'm also in and want this to happen badly but we don't have much time left, the season opener is in exactly three weeks from now.
So someone needs to step up, take the initiative and set up the league...

Things that we need to figure out first:

-entry fee (i'm good with anything between 0.003 to 0.005)
-non ppr, ppr or half point (non ppr works for me)
-draft date/time (i'll make draft at whatever time/date it is)
-platform (yahoo fantasy football)

I would also recommend that it be an invite only, one bad apple can ruin a league.

This is the list of the players which have showed interest on participating on the league.
If everyone that has showed interest on the league joins we will have 9 players in total counting yourself so I think we could still need an additional player.

There was interest in forming the league in July but the possibility of players opting-out obviously delayed this and it seems the interest on forming the league has subsided, but if people are still interested I will participate even if as I have stated before I will be last place on the league.

I had hopes for the league originally, but then Covid fucked their season over good.  I don't know how the NFL is going to fair with the pandemic and the political divisiveness they've engaged in.  It seems like now is as good of a time as any for an alternate league to stake a foothold.

66 player have opted out of the season after yesterdays deadline passed. I think the teams might lose some more players here and there in the upcoming weeks and during the season. I sorted them division-wise, taken from here:

Think it could have been worse, apart from NE of course and the Browns lost a couple of O-Line players, but I am not very familiar with them; in general O-Liners opted out the most (maybe due to being overweight the most ?). There are 22 voluntary opt-outs, 8 high-risk and 36 with no reasoning given. Bring the season on, I am not opting out

in all seriousness it looks terrible for the pats, but there's nobody who i'd expect to adapt and turn things around in this situation better than belichick.

Add to this that the Jets have lost two of their best players in Adams/Mosley and the AFC East is looking even more pathetic. The Bills have only lost Lotulelei as of now, but still they are only 2.00 (=50%) to win the division, while Patriots are 2.60 (38%). Both were 2.30 before, which I found a bit weird already and now with NE losing so many players (Chung is also out) on top of all the other problems you mentioned, these odds for the Bills look very tempting. But I won't place any bet yet I think - who knows what will happen in the next days. I even find the 9.00 for the Dolphins somehow sexy.

The NFL and the NFLPA have finally signed the revised CBA and there is finally a deadline for when players can opt-out the 2020 season, they have until Thursday at 4 PM to do so, previously it was stated players will have 7 days after the CBA was signed but NFL pressured to shorten the time span, however there are two exceptions to the opt-out deadline, if a player receives a new diagnosis that puts him at a high risk or if a family member gets seriously infected because of COVID19 or something similar.

Everything is lining up for this season to be one of worsts for NE, they have lost now 8 players, the most of any team, and several of them are key players and when you add no certainty at the QB position, no preseason and probably a new offensive system this does not seems as if it will end well.

Funny that my first thought was that the XFL is really screwed.
Talk about unlucky, as soon as they launch again this hits.
The NFL will weather this but they may not.

Some more well known players have already opted out in Dont'a Hightower and Marcus Cannon. Both big blows for the Pats, while RB Brandon Bolden, FB Danny Vitale and G Najee Toran will also not suit up in 2020 season for them.

With the latest news from the Miami Marlins in MLB, I expect a wave of opt-outs in the next days. Not looking good all in all and I find it kind of non-exciting to watch NFL, when probably a lot of teams are weakened by core players opting out.

Pretty lame, but it's just temporarily, they had to rush a bit I would have liked Washington Team Football better, since it makes for a nicer abbreviation.

Raiders are 1.83 to win @Carolina in week1, but well, the Raiders are the Raiders and they have their own issues I guess, so probably not that interesting. What is maybe more interesting is the regular season wins, where the line is 5.5. Last season they were 5-11 and that NFC South has gotten even more brutal. Carolina has way more winnable games in first few match-ups of the seaons imo, but that is when they still should struggle a lot:

Put "sure losses" in red. If they are lucky enough to win 2 of the first 6 games, they would still need to get 4 wins from the next 10, which looks very unlikely imo. They still have CMC, but lost Kuechly on defense and I have my doubts about Bridgewater making any impact. Odds around 2.00 are probably not very attractive for single longterm bet, but if I find some other good season bets to parlay, I might include this one.
