Had to be done, he can't handle HC position.

I heard on the radio that Craft wanted him to stay, but he wanted out.  You never know what happens behind closed doors, though.  Pete Carroll is also out as coach of the Seahawks, he's stepping into an executive roll...  I hope Belichick doesn't find his way to the NFC west!  Shocked

I wouldn't call Ravens superbowl lock based on Lamar postseason history

I wouldn't call anyone a "lock" per say, I just can't see the Ravens or Niners not being in it.  Lamar is likely to be this years MVP, almost a certainly in fact, but I agree that he's not been the regular season MVP so much in the post-season.  Now I'm not sure I abide by this saying, but they do say "defense wins championships" and I believe the Ravens to have the best defense in the league, so that will certainly play a sizable role.

No one is a lock in the NFL, I reckon. This is the post season where everything will begin to be undpredictable. Matthew Stafford can bring his team in the divisional round by winning against the Lions and I it would not be very shocking to witness Patrick Mahomes bring the Chiefs to the AFC conference finals. Josh Allen Jalen Hurts cannot be underestimated also.

However on the Bills, can they beat the spread against the Steelers on -10? My head is shaking on this.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots and Bill Belichick have mutually agreed to part ways, concluding his 24-year tenure as head coach of the Patriots. In 24 seasons with New England, Belichick delivered six Super Bowl titles, nine conference championships, 17 division crowns (with 2002 and 2008 lost on tiebreakers), including 11 consecutive division titles and 30 playoff victories.

Dude...I feel like mahones is the new Brady in terms of counting him out and then come playoffs they just roll.  I'm with you with the Ravens but when I had to throw money down I'm all in on the cheifs until I see someone knock them out.  Mahones did it on one leg last year.  He has 2 now! Lol.

It's really hard to imagine any other two teams in the super bowl outside of the Ravens and Niners.  I guess I could see the Chiefs or Cowboys potentially working their way in, but doubtful.  I have absolutely zero faith in the Dolphins, Bills or Eagles making it to the ship.  I just don't think any of those 3 teams play consistently enough.

Anyone else pissed off and annoyed that these Wild Card games are being played on Peacock?  I mean wtf man.  We already have Amazon taking over TNF, now we get more pay services bs with these Wild Card games.  I mean can the NFL really expect us not to seek streams for the game.  Not everyone can afford 10k different streaming platforms ( off topic but remember when we use to think that TV would turn in to this great "a la cart" platform.  Not only did that not happen, it's only gotten worse smh).

Submitted, should be fun. I have the same two SB teams & winner but a slightly different route for how they got there.

*shit, I just noticed, I really blew the "total points"... didn't see it said for the whole playoffs, should have read it better, LOL.

@Hueristic. I have all of your picks except the Dolphins. I reckon despite the Chiefs not being as good last year or the other year, I am quite certain Andy Reid's experience will be very valuable and the greatness of Maholmes will be witnessed by the visitors. There is still an argument that Patrick Maholmes is the best quarterback in the NFL.

Also, Mike McDaniel's post season experience is only another wild card round last year with a loss against the Bills.

Yeah Chiefs have a lot of post-season experience under Andy Reid... I'm a big Tua fan but playoff games are just a whole different animal than regular season games.

Texans is another brave pick, but the line is only +2.5 for them, could go either way. Just feel like the Browns want it more after never having won a Super Bowl & only making it to the playoffs 3 times in the last 24 years! Just looked it up: Houston Texans have been there 7 times during the course of their existence (22 seasons).

Hey guys, I'm having a hard time trying to find a website that hosts these fantasy playoff deals.  I want to say I use to do it on ESPN but not finding anything there.  Also it looks like NFL.com has discontinued it for some reason - https://support.nfl.com/hc/en-us/articles/4989089337500-Playoff-Challenge
 / https://www.reddit.com/r/fantasyfootball/comments/190b9bj/nflcom_playoff_challenge_discontinued/?rdt=45228 .

I will keep looking but perhaps if I can't find one, would you guys be interested in some sort of playoff knock out pool where we all make picks and whomever get the most right wins the pot ( we could do something like $5-25 or whatever).

At minimum we should do a Super Bowl squares challenge.  Here's how that works - https://www.superbowlsquares.org/how-to-play

@Everyone ---Boys and gals... are any of you interested in doing a playoffs fantasy league?  It's of course nothing complex and time consuming and what, not like regular fantasy football is.  It's not as fun of course, but it does help provide a little fun/actions for the playoffs. I've played it maybe twice and always found it kind of fun.  We could do something simple like a $5-10 buy in or something.  What do you all think?  (as I type this I'm struggling to find one, but I will).

My heart is not ready, give it time to recover hehehee.

@nutildah. Agreed that the Browns had a good regular season, however, how much of this was because of Massage Watson? I reckon, not much of it and for how much he was paid for to get him from the Texans, would he be considered a good deal?

Also, I picked him as my quarterback speculating that he might be underestimated in the rankings. It was a costly mistake hehehe.

The Cleveland Browns were scammed.

Except they did make it to the playoffs for the first time in several years, so it wasn't a total scam.

I'd be interested but would need more info about how it works.

Won 2 of my 3 bets, so I placed a small ML bet on the Dolphins for shits n giggles. Been a close game so far. 2 INTs by Allen & 1 by Tua in the 1st quarter.

@nutildah. The Texans did not only show their astutefulness when they picked CJ Stroud during the draft as their replacement for Massage Watson. They also sold Watson for one of the highest trade deals in the history of the NFL. The Texans also did this when Watson was suspended and it appears they knew that he would not be the same player after suspension hehehehe. The Cleveland Browns were scammed.

Man the Texas are primed for some goodness for years to come.  Just that Stroud /Collins/Dell trio is going to shoot them in to contention for some time to come.

On the Texans vs. the Colts, both of these teams are still considered in the hunt, correct?

The winner advances to the playoffs, which in this case, appears to be the Texans.

This was my first time watching CJ Stroud. He's certainly got some power. I don't think the Texans will get too far in the playoffs but their fans have to be happy with how things finally turned around for them this year, after years of suckiness.

Who do you guys like for this weekend?

I'm taking:

Jags @ -3.5
Bucs @ -4.5
Packers @ -3

These are all teams that need the W to secure a playoff spot, and they are all playing teams that are out of contention.

The games I'll be watching for fun are Texans vs. Colts and Ravens vs. Dolphins. Both should be tight-scored games.

On the Texans vs. the Colts, both of these teams are still considered in the hunt, correct?

In any case, it also appears that Jonathan Taylor is back 100% healthy from a long injury. He is presently playing a very good game. I am not quite certain how many rushing yards but it is many and he also has 1 touchdown. I speculate that he will be in the top 10 of the draft order for fantasy next season heheheh.

Saw this video on YouTube of The Rock and his team discussing with ESPN their creation of the UFL which .. “The United Football League, a powerful combination of the XFL and USFL, will provide passionate sports fans with an entertaining, innovative and action-packed season” - ESPN chairman Jimmy Pitaro

@Huerisitc I figured you’d especially appreciate this. I’m actually looking forward to this league and going to give it a legitimate try.

Did the rock shrink or is that chick huge? Cheesy

You were 100% against it last year, so what made you change your mind?

I was concerned Fox would try to push the XFL out so I guess this is a decent outcome although I would rather have seen them stay independent.

Funny now that they made it the corporate interests have decided to join them (I'm impressed they were able to read the writing on the wall this quickly) and probably try to wrest control from the inside.

I hope the XFL read that contract they signed because saying you have 50 percent means nothing unless your only in it for the money.

It's the same thing the futures markets do to control securities.

So basically it boils down to fox bought 50% of the xfl for IIRC $150million (what they spent to make and play a season of the usfl).

I'd say they got quite a deal.

I don't have the time nor the inclination to look into it but I wonder how this is going to effect how players from this league and colleges go into the draft if at all.

Specifically I'm wondering if they wrote into the rules that players are screwed like the college kids with capped rookie contracts when getting picked up for the nfl?

Lol man, you know that use to be his xgf ? (I know right).  I wasn't necessarily dead set against any of these other leagues. I've had good buddies play in a few of them and have certainly supported the idea, I've just found them difficult to watch as some of them are just so watered down and stray too far from the game of regular football.  I do love the idea of just 1 of these leagues existing as there's simply not enough talent for a multitude of league to be going on at one time.  If there's only just one, there's going to be some exciting players who end up getting a shot at the NFL, as well as some x-NFL'rs who will finish out their careers in a league like this and that I find fun/cool.

Wow the amount of backups playing this week has to be a record!

Yupp and this is why we cut out the last week of the season ( of course as we all know).  Still looking forward to tomorrows final Sunday of sitting on the couch so long all day watching my favorite thing that I end up farting a hole in to the sofa cushion.

Agreed, there is no other development leagues for the NFL so players depend on practice squad which really isn't game ready.  I'm all for the leagues but just can't stand watching them.  I try I just cant.
