Crazy finish to the Lions/Cowboys game right now... It was close all game. Lions had a chance to tie it with an extra point, but they decided to go for 2... And they were successful, until it came to light that one of the Lion's O-line committed an "Illegal Touch" during the play as he had not reported to the officials. They weren't very happy about it.

So they tried it again, didn't get it, but this time the Cowboys had committed a penalty, so they got a 3rd chance. They could have just kicked it to tie, mind you, but that wasn't good enough, so they had one more chance, and of course they biffed it. Cowboys win by 1.

I’m in a championship game and had Jake Ferguson in my lineup so was following closely. Of course he had a terrible game, just like both the Lions and Cowboys. Cowboys D completely falling apart there at the end but redeeming themselves by holding up on those moronic 2pt conversion attempts. Dude kick the ball!

@everyone ..like I was saying, I think the Ravens are legit the best team in the league.

Lastly how about them Chicago Bears locking up the #1 pick in the draft 🙌🙌 SO pumped!

It appears that after watching the Dolphins vs. the Ravens you might be correct hehehe. The argument is going towards their side and it also appears there are news articles speculating that Lamar will be the regular season MVP.

However, for this post season what type of Lamar will be playing? Will it be something similar to the past where he plays good on the regular season but bad during the post season hehehe.

Congrats to the Potatoes. What a monster score & fitting way to cap the season, taking the league championship by over 100 points!

My picks for this week are therefore Texans @ -4 and Rams @ -5.5.

Texans ended up covering well but Rams did not, squeaking out a W by just 1 point.

Kind of glad I missed the Ravens/Dolphins game... Am watching Packers/Vikings right now. Need the Vikings to win to have 12 wins for my weekly pool. Not looking good for them right now as its 30-3 in the 3rd. Thought they could have done a little bit better at home. What a disappointing f'ing blowout.

@ChiBitCTy. There can be an argument that the Ravens has the best defensive team in the NFL for the 2024 season and also arguably the best quarterback for the regular season this year, however, considering the team as a whole, I reckon the 49ers is the better team.

In any case, what was the points odds for this Browns vs. Jets game? I am quite certain the oddsmakers had it under 41 points speculating that this game will be low scoring hehehe.

Well, whatever it was, I'm sure the overs won it... It was a 57 point game in all. It was actually a great game, put me ahead to win the Biggest Loser Ladder thanks to an outstanding performance by Breece Hall and also an pick-6 for the Jets.

Fun watching Flacco actually be better than his former incarnation, despite being 38 years of age. He helped put the Browns in the playoffs for the 3rd time in 23 years.

Looking at this weekend's games:

- Miami vs. Baltimore will definitely be the game of the week, even though both teams have already clinched playoff spots... Its a crowd-pleaser matchup between two of the best of the best.

- Tampa Bay vs. New Orleans: both teams need the W to keep their playoff hopes alive.. Saints need a W and then a number of things to go right to have a spot... Line currently favors TB -2.5

- Texans absolutely need the W over the Titans to help their playoff chances. Seems like a lock for them.

- Colts need the W over the Raiders to have good chance of making the playoffs, Raiders are all but mathematically eliminated.

- Chicago vs. Atlanta: two shit-tier teams battling for a basically non-existent chance of making the playoffs.

- This is a "must win" game for the Rams over the Giants. Seems like a lock for the Rams.

- Another "must win" game for Seattle over the Steelers... Given what the Steelers managed to accomplish last week, its a closer toss-up than the line indicates IMO (currently -3.5 Seattle).

- Green Bay vs. Minnesota: this game is anyone's guess... The possibility of either team going to the playoffs seems unlikely; after this game only one of them will be eligible.

My picks for this week are therefore Texans @ -4 and Rams @ -5.5.

Have to wonder how much the starters will be playing in that Miami Baltimore game.  Not sure if either team still has home frield advantage on the line or not.

Texans should take the W versus the Titans.  Stroud and Collins both back, feelin it.

Chicago vs ATL.. each Bears loss gets us that closer to the top pick (not including the Panthers pick which we own).

Seattle over the steelers at -3.5 is pretty solid.

Feel ya with GB vs Minn...who knows.

This Miami game might be exactly for home field advantage and the bye the first week.  Miami is one game behind Baltimore for first and would have the head to head over them if they both win out the last week.  No doubt Miami is all in on this game.  I took them at +3, and so long as hill is playing I'm taking whatever yards he has and taking the over.  Masterton anytime td and Lamar under 56 yards rushing.  Now that I've posted this all 4 will lose 😆

@nutildah. On the Texans. How bad was Stroud's concussion and what type of performance will he give after this? It might be safer to give 1 point and bet on -3?

Well the Texans beat the Titans w/o Stroud, just two weeks ago. Apparently the injury was so bad that he had headaches for days afterward. Any normal human would just retire with their millions, lol. But these guys aren't normal. I'm not even a fan of Stroud but I see them stomping all over the Titans who have been eliminated from playoff contention & therefore have no reason to play as hard as their opponents.

My game of the week will be the Cowboys vs. the Lions. This will be the last game of the Cowboys in their home stadium. The home team might win but I am not quite certain if they can win -6 against the spread, however.

That's a toss-up b/c both teams already clinched playoffs spots, we could see either or both teams resting their key players. Being at home is of course still an advantage for the Cowboys.

Ravens have got to be the best team in the league no?

No. Angry

LOL!

That game wasn't so much the Ravens playing great but the Niners playing bad.  The Niners beat themselves last night.
It was just one of those games in which nothing went right for the 49ers, and even then despite the 3 interceptions on the first half the difference was just 4 points, what really derailed the game was the start of the second half in which the Ravens scored 14 points in just 18 seconds, at the moment the game was over already and the Ravens were content with just killing the clock, still if both teams were to play each other again on the SB I would expect for the game to be a lot closer this time around.

I dunno, I think that the Ravens have a legitimate claim at being the best team in the league right now.  I know that the 49niners "beat themselves" to an extent, but a big part of that was the fact that the Ravens have the best defense in the NFL and force a lot of mistakes.

In other news I made it to one championship game out of my 6 leagues and I just got the news the Russell Wilson is being benched so that he wont get hurt since they plan on cutting him or some shit.  It's a super-flex league so we play 2 QBs, hence why he's so important to this championship game.  Man nothing goes my way. smh

Man Xmas came and went just like that.  I can't believe we are down to the final week.  Congrats to New England Potatoes and Hueristic Barbarians for making the Championship game!

I was able to slide in to one Championship game out of my 6 leagues, 4 having made the playoffs even if I lose I can't be too upset, was a solid year regardless.  Would be really nice next year if my very best players don't have season ending injuries.  Please and thank you oh Fantasy Lords.

Awesome game between Ravens and Niners -- possibly the two best teams in the league right now. That's a great pic DireWolf. Even though your team lost, I'm sure it was a lot of fun to be there.

It was an awesome time.  My youngest brother and I drove down early and cruised the stadium, then got a text from my other brother who had gotten tickets from his wife just that morning.  We went to loiter by their seats for a while, and my sister-in-law showed us the video of my brother opening his gift that morning.  The look on his face was priceless.

Someone else we know got us into the Union Club where it was quite the party scene.  We ran into some other people I hadn't seen in over 20 years, and met some random people we ended up partying with for a little while.  Even though the Niners were struggling everybody was in a festive mood, and having lots of fun.

I think that was probably a preview of the Superbowl, but I hope the results will be different if I'm right about that.

Congrats on the Fantasy win @morvillz7z and @Hueristic!

I forgot there was 18 games this season, and we still have one more fantasy league game to go. Gonna be a showdown between two excellent teams. Good luck to both of you, whatever that means.

With any luck I can still win the consolation bracket and be the best loser, wee.

Congratulations Hueristic, I don't think I can make ~70 points needed to win this one, unless Josh Jacobs runs backwards the whole game Smiley

It's been a great season for my scrappy team, can't wait to beat you all next year.

What a nail biter, I didn't look at the score until after the game.

I was dreading Deebo putting up a last second TD and had a feeling it was literally that close between us!

Great Season! Smiley

9ers and Ravens wish you all a Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas. May the winner of this game become the regular season MVP.

The 1st half was very good for both of these teams! I did not quite expect the offense of the Ravens would give this much problems on the 49ers' defense. I thought this game would be low scoring and I was speculating for it to finish under 47 points. This now appears to be very doubtful.

I am certain this 2nd half will be very exciting for you there in the stadium and being a 49ers fan hehehe.
