Yeah the silver lining for anyone going up against me is - I don't have a QB.

Mac Jones is available.   Grin

I'd rather leave the spot open, LOL.

I'll trade you Brock Purdy for CMC...   Cheesy

Man what a boring game tomorrow ..GB vs the Lions mehhh.  Will have to create some prop bets to make it more interesting.

It does look like it'll be a boring game on paper, neither team is really expected to do much this year.  But with Minnesota and Chicago winless after week 3, these two are looking like the top candidates to win the division.  I find it nearly impossible to predict the winner, so I'll probably pass on a bet for this one.

If Monty plays your gonna want to take those props (anytime TD would be a no brainer) as he's in revenge mode because he has never beaten GB and is pissed about that.

Yeah that's definitely something to look at prop wise.  Last I checked the games spread was -3.5 Detroit.  I think Green Bay is pretty bad and I see the Lions as being pretty decent, so considering just betting the spread, or doing a mix..but then again I get scared after seeing stuff like the Cardinals beating the Cowboys, I mean wtf was that all about?!

Regardless.. man football season is a beautiful thing.  It's so by far my favorite time of the year and when you've got NFL action on Thursdays and Mondays, it makes the work-day so much better knowing you got some NFL action going later that day.  I'm in a good mood for once lol

And that is what got me worried, last year despite the abysmal results of the Cows during the first half of the season I could content myself thinking I simply got the worst luck, due to all teams scoring a lot of points against me and being the worst at that stat by far, however now it is the opposite with the Cows being last on points scored and second to last on points scored against, and this week I am playing against Hhampuz and the difference is so big that yahoo is already giving them a 62% chance of winning even after changing my lineup.

Maybe Hhampuz will Play Danny Dimes again?

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
Meh, don't get discouraged.  It's all about luck anyway, and if you look at the points fielded, you're right in the middle.  I bet things will average out within a few weeks.

What's funny; the team that's fielded the most points (Hhampuz) and the team with the fewest (South Park) are both 2-1.   Both of the winless teams are right in the middle of the pack as far as points fielded:

Man I am 1-3 with my calls so far this season, not good.

I'm about 50/50 on bets, but financially I'm still a little bit ahead on the season so far.  The Giants really pissed me off last Thursday.  I only needed two more points to win my prop bet and the G-men let me down.  To be fair, the Niners' second team also let me down, but no body expected them to run up the score.  I was so confident that was a sure bet; Niners -6.5, CMC anytime TD, Total Points O44.5 that I put a whopping $30 bet down, lol.  Yes I'm a cheapskate and allergic to losing money on gambling.

I've been looking at Against The Spread (ATS) stats when placing bets, based on the idea that teams that cover will continue to cover. Of course there isn't a wealth of statistical data for ATS totals only 3 weeks into the season, but I tend to fare better toward the last few weeks.

https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/trends/ats_trends/

Sounds like a good strategy, thanks for the link.  I'll take a look at that.

Well it's not all luck. I've always maintained that it's 1/3 luck, 1/3 skill, 1/3 dedication (paying attention/making moves etc).

That's probably the most accurate way of looking at it, I can't argue with those breakdowns.

I still have a pretty decent team, but I'm screwed after losing Chubb and then when Aaron Rodgers went down, it makes Garett Wilson go from a WR1 stud to a middling WR2.  I have always had the worst freaking luck with injuries.

For tomorrow I have the Rams at +1.5 against the winless Bengals. The other game should be pretty good as well, but Eagles at -5 sounds a bit high, wouldn't take that bet.

I had three free bets I had to use yesterday before they expired, so I put 1mBTC on the Rams, and hedged another on the Bengals.  I was rooting for the Rams since they offered a higher payout, but had to settle for the hedge bet.  The last 1mBTC I used for a multi-bet with the Eagles -2.5 and total points O34.5.  All in all, I came out 1.6mBTC ahead, which isn't bad.

Sounds good, congrats. Man I am 1-3 with my calls so far this season, not good. Going by this logic, Packers look pretty good to cover against the Lions, as does Browns over Ravens. I also like Kansas City to cover against the Jets.

In terms of excitement, I think Miami vs. Buffalo will be the most fun game to watch.

edit: despite putting up a blistering 56 points last week, only 24% of team owners are starting De'Von Achane next week. Wonder if I should be concerned... hmm.

Amazing numbers put up by Miami (highest score since the 1960s) and fantasy points for this Achane guy:

To think I was mulling over the possibility of dropping him earlier this week... Glad I did not. I think he'll be seeing a lot more action after today's performance.

I decided to lay off from betting last night as I just didn't really know how either game was going to go.  I came up 3 points shy in one my leagues being that Stafford had such as shit night.  I guess it really wasn't event that close being that the Rams didn't score right until the end there.

Losing Chubb has just destroyed all my hopes. Especially in the league losing Chubb but first Aaron Rodgers loss kill Garrett Wilson's value.

I am quite certain that Stafford will continue having low performances if Cooper Kupp does not return. It also appears that this news update is implying that he might not return. This selling of his mansion in Oregon for $3.5 million will pay for his long vacation away from the field hehehe. If there is a news update that he bought a yacht, I will drop Cooper Kupp hehehehe.

The Los Angeles Rams wide receiver, currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, just hoisted his four-acre Oregon home on the market, The Wall Street Journal first reported. Listed for $3.5 million, Kupp bought the Wilsonville property sight unseen for a cool $2.5 million back in 2020. The spread, which sits 30 minutes outside of Portland, includes a five-bedroom main house and an almost 2,000-square-foot guest house. The four-car garage is set up as a gym, and Kupp converted a barn into a training facility during the pandemic.

Down 0-3, pretty hard hole to come out of.  Just had some tough matchups my points aren't all that bad.  That's another part of ff, you could have more points than  someone at the top doesn't matter just need more points that week than your opponent oh well.

Last night's games were pretty boring, bengles look rough in the early going this year.  I know Burrow is banged up but they don't look like they could contend right now with the likes of a Miami or someone.

I'm pretty pleased with how my FF season has started, but I'm still not too confident I can keep it up.

And then there were 2!
I'm not too confident either, Jacobs and Higgins have been getting carried on my team and I really need them to get their shit together!

You might as well add Kenyan Drake or Keaton Mitchell, as Gus might end up in concussion protocol. Ravens losing RBs at a rate of 1 per week. Lol

Hah, I always Grab Melvin. I just really like the guy even though he likes to fumble! He broke off a 75 and a 80 yd TD for me last year in my flex! And put up the same numbers as J.Williams the last 2 years and I drafted him at the bottom of the barrel while everyone reached for J.Williams. I usually NEVER take Ravens RB's and if its not evident why by now I don't know what to say but somehow Melvin has dodged missing much time for injuries and Drake fumbled last week so If I had the space I would grab him in this league as well.

Congrats SEEK3R, What a Week!  That may be the highest score this league has ever seen.
I got you this week, Hope your guys are too tired after last week to kick ass again! Smiley

My week 3 match up with morvillz7z was so stressful.  It came down to the wire, but I was able barely sneak past him.  GG, Mo!

Yeah, GG!

Losing two starters proved to be too big of an obstacle to overcome. After the Broncos' epic stink job, it should have been over and done. It's beyond me how Tyreek only scored one touchdown in that game.  On the bright side, my team did not suffer any fresh injuries...so 2-1 isn't the worst start all things considered.

LOL, I picked up Melvin Gordon a few hours ago for another team. Smiley

Eagles win over buccaneers was  all over the news due to the score being unique, never seen before in NFL - 25-11

Such scores usually happen  very rarely and mostly due to 'safety' being scored for 2 points, which are super rare itself in the hyper competitive NFL!

That's the gig with fantasy football injuries are brutal.  Even worse is when you land a bust and are stuck with high draft picks that decide not to produce.  I've had a brutal couple of years in this league lol.  Just not panning out, wierd how in some leagues you kill it and can't figure out how to break through in others.  Either way it looks like I might end up in a 0-3 hole this year while scoring a decent amount of points.

I am in a similar situation, however, I might get lucky on week 4 hehehe. Who is Eli-2 Brady-0? I reckon that my week vs. him will depend on Derrick Henry. If he performs similar to week 3 I will certainly have 0% chance of winning especially if Stefon Diggs or Olave has a better than expected week. Good luck to us for next game week!

Also, Massage Watson has a good performance, I wish this will continue. If it does, I will only need Cooper Kupp to get out of IR! The past update on his injury was 2 weeks. Is this no news is good news or no news implies out for the season?
