I am not watching the game and I thought I will lose again on week2, however, I tentatively have more points than @ChiBitCTy with only a few minutes left on the game?

This was the reason. There are some articles that have reported it is a broken leg and the broadcasters did not want to replay it because it will not look good on tv.

PITTSBURGH -- Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb was carted off the field during the second quarter of Monday night's game in Pittsburgh.

The All-Pro rusher injured his left knee after a 5-yard run to the Steelers' 3-yard line. Chubb's legs bent awkwardly underneath him while being tackled. He was immediately ruled out and the Browns fear Chubb suffered significant knee injury, sources told ESPN.

Welp. I'm resigned to another big fat L. Didn't even change my WR that won't start tomorrow because, well, first of all its too late and second of all I'm gonna lose anyway.

There was one saving grace in that I won my bet:

This week I'm taking Miami @ -3... Tua's looking pretty good, this could be the year the Dolphins finally win a divisional championship, at least. Last time that happened was 1984, lol.

It came down to the very last play! Was an exciting game. And Belichick walked away an unhappy camper so that was a bonus.

Let's see if I can keep it rolling. Bet on Browns -2.5 over the Steelers. Massage Watson is off to a terrific start with his new team. They trounced the Bengals pretty easily, which was something of a tremendous upset, even if the line for Bengals was only -1 or something.

Also this was pretty funny... 'Scuse me son, I'm talking to America over here."

I thought you wanted Kupp and you had a proposal already hehehe. Your offer is Higgins? However, it would be difficult for you because my player is injured and he might not be 100% if plays again after week 5.

Haha, good try, try again if you want but that's a non starter.

Okay but you might regret it. I am hearing some rumors that Stafford will be back to his superbowl winning performance and Kupp might be out of IR on week 3! This will certainly put me in the playoffs hehehehe.

In any case, does anyone else speculate that something is wrong with Aaron Rodgers? He is thin, he is taking mushrooms, he appears strange in some interviews because maybe he was on mushrooms. It is head scratching.

I would not be shocked if it was suddenly announced that he is fighting cancer oDenver.kness.

When they are on the IR I thought you have to be on for at least 4 weeks right?  Otherwise teams would just use the ir all the time to add players weekly.  I think the minimum he can sit is 4 weeks.  I always liked Stafford.  I just don't think the team around him is talented enough to push for a B run

Hehehehehe I am guilty your honor. However, @Hueristic appears to have known this already hehehe.

Next year we should move to the Sleeper platform.
<...>

I've seen many people say Yahoo has dropped the ball, that and switching over to Sleeper for good, guess it's becoming a trend.

There was a mini-crisis last week if you had M. Andrews in one of your leagues, like i do. Teams would normally reveal inactives for the week about an hour and a half before games, and then platforms would almost immediately change player status, say from Questionable to Out.

Everyone was waiting for Yahoo to make the change with Andrews so they could move him to IR and open up a spot. It took about 15 minutes for them to do something...and instead of fixing it, they marked everyone on the Ravens/Texans game in green with 0.0 fpts as if the game had already begun. Lol   People on the chat even thought the game was being played overseas, it was chaos.  Grin

Eventually, Yahoo fixed it but imagine if that happened later in the season when every win counts, i could have been blocked by my opponent or forced to drop a player i didn't want to, etc.

Anyway, it was only week 1 so they got a pass from me, annoying situation to be put in nonetheless. I topped it by streaming Likely for 1 rec and 4 yards.  Cheesy

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
ION .. I certainly don't think we've seen the last of Aaron Rodgers.  I can't stand the guy, but I wanted to see him play the year out in full health.  Will be interesting to see what the Jets do...calling Tom Brady ...calling Tom Brady.... Smiley
I thought the same, but as much as Brady loves to play if there is one thing Brady got consistently over the years was a top OL, and I doubt that even with his durability he will survive long with the Jets OL.

And in other news Ekeler is listed as doubtful while my best WR will be a game-time decision, so I had to pick Gabe Davis from the waiver wire and hope the Bills play way better than in the season opener to have any chance against the Moon Coiners.

Next year we should move to the Sleeper platform. I’m telling y’all it’s the best FF platform now hands down. ESPN once upon a time was the best. At this time Yahoo was absolutely garbage. Then Yahoo started getting better and ESPN started to go down hill. Now I would probably say ESPN is better (which I’ve been very vocal about ESPN sucking for quite some time).

Yahoo is now filled with bugs and just going down hill. Sleeper on the other hand continues to improve almost daily.  They are all about doing what the FF community wants, and have been very open to suggestions. From the draft set up, to the information they provide, I’m telling y’all Sleeper is where it’s at now.

People are always so resistant to change, and I understand that, but let’s just take the year to think it over ?

I will probably make some sort of post write up explaining Sleeper in better detail and show some side by side comparisons to it vs ESPN & Yahoo.

@Hueristic you complaining a bit about Yahoo and how they didn’t update the Kupp injury which kinda screwed you was what triggered me to make this write up. I really think you guys will love Sleeper.

Anyway..I’m happy to go w the flow of what the league wants as a whole, just a suggestion.

Everyone enjoy your weekend and see you on the battle fields tomorrow! Smiley

Did Sleeper fix the PPFD stats?

That was what made it a non starter and the fact they ghosted me when I reported it.

But yes I agree we should look to move for next year.

I also don't like the fact that Yahoo is selling my lineup.

gl, I'm surprised the colts are underdogs

Just checked your team and yeah you got the shaft on that Eagles game. Its Penny's fault for Holding!

I got boned with Goedert  on my other team as well, was gonna run with Henry that I picked up but chickened out and stuck Goedert  back in at the last second! LOL w00ps.

Damn, my season is off to a shitty start.

Blew my first pick, lost my first FF game, and despite the Eagles getting 34 pts against the Vikings, I only got a combined 7.1 points from my 2 Eagles players.

One of the bars here does a moneyline pick'em contest every week. Last week there was 2 people who got 11/16 picks correct; usually the average needed to win is 12 games, but there was a large amount of upsets. I'm thinking statistically speaking, its better to pick the favorite all the time, but whats interesting is it never works out where all the favorites win.

So the upsets I have for this weekend are:

Atlanta over Green Bay
Indianapolis over Houston

and looking back at things I hope I didn't pick Arizona over the Giants, but I might have.

This week I'm taking Miami @ -3... Tua's looking pretty good, this could be the year the Dolphins finally win a divisional championship, at least. Last time that happened was 1984, lol.

It will be interesting to see how Kupp plays out.  I think there's a real chance he doesn't play the entire season.  It doesn't sound good based off the news that he was traveling across the country to see a specialist and I don't think we've heard how that went.  Not a good sign.

Yeah I made the mistake of grabbing him at the end of the second on another team as I hadn't heard he got injured and friggin yahoo didn't have it listed so I was like shit cant pass that up even though i had that thought of him boning me in the past.

I figure if worst comes to worst he should be around for week 10 and hopefully doesn't re-injure like he did to me a few years back when I swore him off.

So I have no issue trading a serviceable WR as I have a few of them and he should help out come play off time if I'm in by then.

I think due to Van sucking and those other 2 wr's stepping up I don't think his target share will be as large as it used to be and he was really only a top target in ppr formats to begin with.

I think that Puka kid is going to be LA WR1 and when Kupp gets back it will be a WR1a/b thing.

Holy Shit just noticed I didnt get fucked with injuries first week like the last 2 years! Better knock on wood. Cheesy
I did try to draft mitigating injury chances but it really can be a crap shoot.

Haha, right after I wrote that this popped up (He's my #1 overall on another team).   https://twitter.com/danielrpopper/status/1702797603594006778?s=46&t=WCK9Qjjqglqbehoc9NnkiA

It might be a similar situation for Cooper Kupp also. The first reports said that he will be out for only week 1 then news updates came that he will be out for 4 weeks. However, there are other speculations that it might be questionable if he can return by week 10. This is more than 50% of the regular season without my best widereceiver.

you wanna trade?

Who do you propose to trade from your team? If Cooper Kupp is healthy after week 5 and if that week was the week of the draft, I reckon he would certainly be within top 5 in all rankings. I do not want a trade unless it is a fair trade.

You make an offer, I havn't looked at your team (I remember your qbs are as weak as mine) but if you find something i'll take a look.

@rohang. You bet Vikings +7 against the champions, in their home stadium? Was the spread on week 1 vs. the Patriots also -7?

My expert tipster tips for you are Detroit -5.5, Chiefs -3, 49ers -7, Bears +3, Giants -5.5, Commanders +3.

Wow, third-worst score in the league, but it's good enough for the win.  Grin

Starting the new season the same way i ended last year, with tight games and me needing miracles come MNF (Allen's four turnovers did it this time). Shit is not healthy!

Mandrews is injured, hopefully, he is good to go for week 2, i don't want to stream another TE, though i must admit there are a few names on the waiver wire which i like a lot...both Musgrave and Ferguson could be serviceable throughout the year based on week 1 usage/play.

I'm surprised to see Kenneth Gainwell leading the Eagles' running back corp. 👀 Swift and B. Scott combined for 2 carries (Penny a healthy scratch) to Gainwell's 14 rush attempts. I realize it'll be a run-committee with the Eagles and Hurts will vulture TDs, but a 14th-round pick for him is a steal, at least for me and my zero-rb strategy.

I started off the season with a loss, just like a finished last year lol. Man, it looks like it might be another tough year for me.  Joe Burrow really screwed me though.  But, I certainly don't expect him to continue being that bad going forward.

I wasn't shocked to see Gainwell get the majority of the snaps (Philly beat writers have been saying he's the main guy for some time now), as well as Penny being inactive, but I don't expect this to keep up. Penny is the best RB on this team, no question about it, but I know they are taking things very slow with him due to his injury history.  I've heard they plan to ease him in and really want to make sure they have him for the playoffs.  It's certainly an interesting backfrield right now.

I went light on rbs and got burned with the jk Dobbins season ending injury.  Going to be rough come bye weeks trying to piece together a team worth throwing out there lol.  Lukc of the draw with injuries.  I thought Dobbins was gonna have a great year but dude can't stay on the field it's a shame.  With that being said week 2 here we come!

I was pretty big on Dobbins for this year as well.  He was clearly the Ravens best running back, and is a pretty talented player on top of that.  I am in five different leagues but I actually didn't own him in any of them.  I was definitely targeting him, but he just never got on my radar with the way all of the drafts worked out.  I feel bad for the guy, all that hard work only to be put on the shelf for yet another year.
