Line is up to -7.5 for SF, expectations of Deebo's return are factoring in I think.

I could see the Chiefs beating the Ravens, but I just can't see the Niners losing to the Lions. We will see how the game script goes lol.  Now way America want's the Lions in the SB.  I mean beside and underdog story and what not, they are clearly the least popular team of whos left.

We can calculate the likelihood of a Chiefs / Lions Super Bowl based on the current odds:

Chiefs beat Ravens: 36% chance
Lions beat 49ers: 26% chance

36% x 26% = ~9.4% chance of a Chiefs / Lions Super Bowl

In case you're wondering about the other possibilities:

Ravens/Lions: 16.4%
Chiefs/Niners: 26.7%
Ravens/Niners: 47.4%

The younger brother of John Harbaugh, Jim is the new head coach of the Chargers.

On our next fantasy league, can I have a reservation for Justin Herbert to be my quarterback hehehe. I have read some articles that mention very good things about Jim Harbaugh and how he can bring the Chargers to the superbowl within 4 years. I do not know if I should believe the hype, however. Everyone in this thread would know more than me if this hype is real.

The Los Angeles Chargers got their man: Jim Harbaugh is their new head coach.

Harbaugh and the Chargers agreed to a deal on Wednesday afternoon.

After winning the national championship at Michigan, Harbaugh has one career goal left, and that's to win the Super Bowl. With the Chargers, where the franchise quarterback is already in place in Justin Herbert, Harbaugh thinks he can do it.

I agree, I just can't see the Lions being able to beat the Niners.  The Niners have the best RB in the game and then you've got Aiyuk and Deebo whom are two of the best WRs and of course Kittle being one of the best TEs.  Not to metion they've got a very solid defense.  Purdy aint too bad himself.
I agree on this as well, the Lions are too young and inexperienced, give them a few years and their players will develop even more and become a serious menace, but right now most of their start players are rookies or second year players with no playoff experience at all, while the 49ers are full of veterans that have been to the SB before, the only way I could see the Lions upsetting the 49ers is if the same weather conditions presented themselves for the game, Purdy got some problems trying to pass effectively with the football completely wet, and this could make the result way more dependent on the line of scrimmage and the running game, besides the 49ers really need Deebo to make a recovery or the passing game may suffer, given that whenever he has not been on the field we know the 49ers have struggle to get the win.

I mean at the end of the day the Lion still have Goff who sure he's been very solid, but he's still Jarrod Goff, I just don't see him going to the big dance. Yeah the Niners need Deebo in a big way.  I hope he's able to play.

The Ravens Chiefs game is another story.  I could easily see that going either way, though I think the Ravens should win this one.  Going to be a fun weekend of games.

I wish the Chiefs Ravens game was on Fox so we could get it in "4k".

I'm going with the unpopular vote.  I'm betting on a cheofs and lions superbowl.  Think in the 49ers armor last week and lions are looking like they are on a mission.  Amon Ra with 130 yards amd 2 tds to shut up any doubters on his pro bowl sub.  Amd now that I said that here comes a Baltimore and 49ers superbowl 😂

What do you think @DireWolfM14, since these are your boys

I'm scared.  Not because I think the Lions are that good, but when the Niners suck they really, really suck.  Plus, I'm trying to not jinx anything by being overly confident.  Not to mention, Shanahan-coached teams have a history of chocking in big games.

Having said that, I tend to agree with your logic.  Assuming Deebo is ready, the line will go up.  And if the Niners show up the way they are expected to, I don't see the Lions causing us much trouble.

The 49ers will win, however, -7 points might be too much trust on Brock Purdy. But I am not an expert hehe.

But if I am asked which of these underdogs might bring the fans the upset, it might be the Chiefs, I reckon. Patrick Mahomes during a very importsnt game against a better team is the type of challenge that brings the very best out of this type of player.

In any case, for the superbowl I want the 49ers and the Ravens to win.

I looked into it to see if it was possible, and I shouldn't be surprised, but its true, the Super Bowl can't end in a tie (neither can playoffs games, for obvious reasons). A tie score at the end of the 4th quarter initiates an infinite series of overtimes (as many as it takes). Also kind of interesting, only one Super Bowl has ever gone to overtime:

The New England Patriots defeated the Atlanta Falcons in overtime, 34-28, in Super Bowl LI.

In blowing a 28-3 lead, the Falcons remained one of the NFL teams that have never won a Super Bowl.

Most recently, Super Bowl LVII nearly went to overtime before Harrison Butker’s game-winning field goal with 11 seconds remaining.

Gonna be depressing when the season is over. Cherish these last 3 games folks.

OVERTIME RULES FOR NFL POSTSEASON GAMES

Unlike regular season games, postseason games cannot end in a tie, so the overtime rules change slightly for the playoffs.

If the score is still tied at the end of an overtime period — or if the second team’s initial possession has not ended — the teams will play another overtime period. Play will continue regardless of how many overtime periods are needed for a winner to be determined.
There will be a two-minute intermission between each overtime period. There will not be a halftime intermission after the second period.
The captain who lost the first overtime coin toss will either choose to possess the ball or select which goal his team will defend, unless the team that won the coin toss deferred that choice.
Each team will have an opportunity to possess the ball in overtime.
Each team gets three timeouts during a half.
The same timing rules that apply at the end of the second and fourth regulation periods also apply at the end of a second or fourth overtime period.
If there is still no winner at the end of a fourth overtime period, there will be another coin toss, and play will continue until a winner is declared.

I think the worst thing for the niners is amon ra is playing with a chip on his shoulder ever since not making the pro bowl.  They have a weird underdog fight to them with a defense that could give 9ers trouble.  I got the niners still winning but Detroit covering.  I don't think it will be a runaway for them.  Amd then on the other side I got the fellas in red until someone can knock them down.

Some fun games this past weekend to say the least! I think I got most of my bets correct except for the Niners Packers game, I really thought they would beat them by more.  Man, it's scary as a Bears fan seeing how much better Love has been getting.

I Ravens Chiefs is going to be one hell of a game I think.  I think the Niners will wax the Lions but hey, any given sunday right.

Do you guys who live outside the US get the Fox games in "4k"?   Here Fox is the only station that has 4k, though it's actually not true 4k, it looks really nice though.  I wish both games were on Fox.

I almost took Lions to cover +7 but changed it to 49ers at the last second, and this is my thesis:

- Green Bay is a better team than Detroit; after all, GB whooped on the Cowgirls and Detroit could barely beat the Rams
- its a home game for SF
- right now, Deebo Samuel has a 50/50 chance of playing; I think he will be cleared 24 hours before gameday, and the line will move to SF -9

Wow what a brutal game for a bills fan.  Stefan Diggs missed an absolute dime in the fourth which would have changed the game.  And what more can be said about wide right.  For fans that were old enough to have watched the Norwood wide right in the superbowl this must have brought up some bad .memories.  playoff mahomes rolling along.

On the 49ers, on what they showed vs. the Packers, I reckon they are very lucky that they will play either the Lions or the Buccaneers in the NFC conference finals.

Niners didn't look very good at all. They spent a lot of the game behind in points, and their defense made up for an offense that was 90% carried by Christian McCaffrey. Purdy kind of folded under pressure a few times. Anybody who bet on Green Bay to cover is pretty happy right now. Having said that, I agree with you and am pretty sure they can easily beat the Lions or Bucs in the conference championship.

Two close games tomorrow... now that the "easy" picks are out of the way.

If Brock Purdy again will fold under pressure vs. the Lions, have the oddsmakers made another mistake by giving the 49ers -7 against the spread? If this is another close game, it might be safer to take the points than give the points.

On the Ravens, -3.5 might be an underestimation from the sportsbooks, I reckon. The Ravens defense is certainly better than the Bills' defense and the Chiefs begun having difficulties against this on the 4th quarter. I am not quite sure where the defense of the Chiefs rank, however, more than 28 points might be easy for the Ravens.

Great Chiefs/Bills game, it was a nail-biter down to the last 1:30.

Tyler Bass hehehehe.
