I feel like this year has been the most brutal with injuries of the top players.  Maybe it's just recency bias but dam.  Season changes so quickly from one Sunday to the next
Rough year for a lot of players in the NFL. Those who have the 49er players on their fantasy team have taken the worst hits, but I think we all have had some bad luck. Some just worse than others. Waiver claims are probably an all time high this season for all of us.

Godwin is certainly season ending, we shall see with Evans.

that sucks bad!

I've got him and evans on some teams and the Bucks looked like contenders and now will be lucky to make the playoffs.

Godwin has been having alot of bad luck on the injury front the last few years.

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
Best fantasy year of my career and I'm in 7 leagues which I think might be the most leagues I've ever been in at once, or close to.  Last nights Tampa Bucs vs Balt Ravens really fd me hard in pretty much every league I'm in.  I've got either Evans or Godwin or both in every single league I'm in.  Not to mention all of the others injuries I've had outside of them.  I don't mind losing because I didn't pick the right players and what not, but losing due to injury is just PAINFUL.  Of course I'm concerned about their health and the Bucs were killing it with those two..now, no chance.  Godwin is certainly season ending, we shall see with Evans.
I missed Godwin’s injury as I switched channels when the score was 34-10 in favor of the Ravens, but I cannot really understand what was Coach Todd Bowles thinking? Evans went down during the first half and the game was for all purposes lost before the end of the 4th quarter, he should have sit down his stars, accept the loss and move on, especially when the score was 41-18 with only 6 minutes remaining on the clock, now what seemed like a great season for the Buccaneers is basically a disaster, since you cannot find two receivers that are nowhere near as good as Godwin and Evans that could replace them before the trade deadline.

Okay asking for some market research.  I'm still in a survivor pool that started with 1800 people amd we are down to 31.  I have the bills but might want to save them.  2 other teams I'm looking at is the redskins...yeah the redskins.  And Cindy playing the browns.  All 3 very winnable games.  Which one would you guys take.  I'm leaning bills.  They are home against a team who runs out will Levi's under center lol.

Bills over Titans certainly seems like a lock, but you never know.  Funny enough @Hhampuz was in a survivor pool a few years back where the Bills had just been god awful for a bit of time, and he was asking "okay now who's a lock for this week, like no chance they'll lose".  It was an easy answer for me, I don't remember who they were playing but they were good enough where they had already penciled in a W.  Well, guess who won.  It set some sort of record for most unexpected loss in like the modern era or some shit like that.  So..ya never know lol Butt.

Washington should certainly be taking home the W but they are getting a bit better and better with Dalton under center opening up Dionte and Chubba to be legit.  Now Cincy should be a lock.  Burrow is balling out, Higgens is back and doin well..I think they are just as much a lock, despite a solid D.  Plus Ford probably out, though Chubb being back, gunna be on a limit count.

Yeah those were my other 2.  Bills play new England later in the year so was thinking of saving them.  Washington shoukd be a lock but I hate saying that with rookie quarterbacks so I'm staying away.  Cincy is a wildcard and they have burned a ton of people already.  Sucks because we are down to like 30 people and this is typically the story of my life...so close lol.  Probably going to lean on the bills.  They are home and will Levi's is a dumpster fire right now.  Thanks for the talk through.  If I last minute deviate I will report it here lol.
I'd shoot my shot with Washington. Daniels has been absolutely electric and while the Panthers have put up some points since switching to Andy Dalton as QB, they are not enough defensively to handle Daniels and the high powered Washington offense. Might as well use them up while they're taking on a easy opponent.

The Jets have traded for WR Davante Adams.

In a move everyone saw coming as Rodgers has become the de facto GM and Coach of the Jets, a trade for Davante Adams has happened, and while the chemistry should still be there, the Jets had to pay a conditional third round pick which could become a second round pick and they had to pick the whole contract from the Raiders, so it is obvious the Jets are going all-in for this season, which is understandable since we do not know for how long Rodgers can keep playing, but even then I am not so sure this move will help them that much, since the number of penalties yesterday shows a lack of discipline difficult to find on the NFL.

Yes this reunification on mr. immunized Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams is very good and this will create much excitement for the fans, however, the Jets should also improve their offensive line to protect Aaron Rodgers. This Rodgers and his wooden leg should join the Buccaneers and put a parrot on his shoulder heheheheh.

On the Vikings vs. the Lions, this is a divisional game and Lion will play very much more than their team's capabilities. This might be very hurtful for Sam Darnold's head and the Vikings' offensive line, I reckon.

The Lions loss of Hutchinson will be a huge blow.  Teams had to scheme entirely around hutch and now they don't have to.  Dude was an absolute beast.  While I don't think that the lions will be bad on defense it's definately going to take a step back.  Being in win now mode, I'd ask vegas about max Crosby or browns about miles Garrett.  It will take a ton to get them if they are on the block but for the Lions it would be well worth it.  And then next year when hutch comes back ypu have bookends.  I'd press on that.

Somebody warned me that Carr was out... I should have paid attention. Even still I did not expect them to get blown out by 23 points. Ouch.

Over half of their 1st string was out, I stopped watching it at halftime and went back to the tables.

I think this guy gave me more points than any of my guys this year.

@nutildah Damn man, that's some solid work!!!  I have to say, in all of my years of football and betting, which has been like 10 years or so since I've been really in to gambling, this has been the most difficult year for me hands down.  So many teams are equally shitty or equally up and down, so that's impressive.

Thanks, and I agree that games have been hard to call this season. But my first pick suggests I know nothing about NFL, whatsoever.

Den vs. NO -- almost an even match, but the line keeps creeping up in Denver's favor, so its now at -3 in some books. Its a home game for the Saints, however, and they have a 2-4 record. I'm thinking they're gonna try extra hard to please the fans, so going with NO.

Alright now I need to get at least 11/14 of the remaining games to stand a chance at winning this week, lol.

KC @ SF, I'm picking the 9ers.  I don't care if I'm wrong, I'm still picking the 9ers.

Lyons @ Vikings is kind of 50/50.  There's really no spread there and the home team almost always favored by 3.  I'm leaning towards the Lyons on this one, they've been tough as nails this year.

The ones that give me pause are the ones with huge spreads, like the Titans @ Buffalo.  When the bills are snapping they'll put up 50 points in three quarters, but when they don't they struggle just to stay in the game.  Even with a bottom of the barrel team like the Titans.  Still, I think I'll take the Bills to cover, but 9 points is more than I'm comfortable with.

Both of those games are way too tough to call.  I know you are a 49ers fan so I'd go with them too.  The lions amd Vikings game should be absolutely awesome for a non fan of either of those teams. I can see those 2 teams along with the 49ers and dare I say the bucs/Falcons are the creme of the nfc.  The NFC East is a dumpster fire right now.  Unless something changes the winner out of the east gets smoked in the playoffs.

I'd say there is no question who's got the best division in football and I'm not sure it's even close.  I mean when the hell have the Lions, Vikings, Bears and Green Bay all been good in a single season.  I would have to lean Lions over Vikings and KC over SF.  I don't know how but Mahomes even after losing his best receiver and his TE not being all the effective this year, still undefeated.  If Jordan Mason doesn't play, that's a big loss to..  Some GREAT games tho.

Bears on bye which I like which means "7 hours of commercial free football starts...soon" lol.

Yeah the north is on fire.

Last week I went 13/14 in our local pick'em game; I think some of it was dumb luck and the rest is that 12 of 13 favorites won last week. Also you just have to guess the winner w/o the spread.

Here's my rundown of this week's (close) matches; also for my own notekeeping to see what went right or wrong:

Den vs. NO -- almost an even match, but the line keeps creeping up in Denver's favor, so its now at -3 in some books. Its a home game for the Saints, however, and they have a 2-4 record. I'm thinking they're gonna try extra hard to please the fans, so going with NO.

Sea vs. Atl -- I watched Seattle last week and they looked awful... Before that, they lost to the Giants by 9 pts, WTF. Falcons have been steadily favored by 3 pts, I take them to win and cover.

Hou vs. GB -- Stroud has been on fire and the Texans are having a phenomenal season... 5 and 1? Yet they are still +2.5 underdogs against Packers at home. A toss-up but I like Packers to win simply based on their ability to cover the spread more often than the Texans.

Det vs. Min -- this is a real toss-up, but will the Vikings endure their 1st lost of the season at home? I think not.

KC vs. SF -- the game of the week. KC has been playing near perfectly while SF has been plagued with problems. I think we see a repeat of the last Super Bowl and KC finds a way to win.

NYJ vs. Pit -- who cares? Does anyone really care? No, but you have to pick a team, so I pick the Steelers. I'll root for Aaron Rogers when he's playing a different team.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Super Bowl rematch this weekend.  I'll be out in the mountains hunting deer with my son, so I might miss seeing it live... Maybe.  There's one spot at the very top of THE mountain where I can get pretty decent reception, so I may chill out and watch it on the phone.  Or maybe I'll have filled my tag by then.  Pray for me and the 9ers.

My prayers have been answered lol!  Now sitting with both Garrett Wilson, tee Higgins, jjettas and devonte Adams.  The only shame is that I have to bench one of them every week.  Adams tagging back up with his boy Rodgers can't be any worse than the situation he was in.  Will give wilson some breathing room on the other side too.  Hey maybe Cobb comes out of retirement and we get the whole band back together lol.
