Instead of using only science which currently says the big bang caused things to form without knowing what was before the big bang religion says everything is how it is because of X reason/person who operate on a higher level of being to us.

There is no "before the big bang" because there was still no "time"... infact time, as we know it, has started as soon as the universe expanded from the singularity.
Space and time are strictly bond together, so we're talking about spacetime (time is the 4th dimension of space). Indeed, if there is no space there is no time either. This is science ladies! Wink

Bigotry tends to substitute brains with "sacred books", and such bigots believe blindly in something written on a book centuries ago, when there was no "science" to prove natural events like earthquakes, eclipses and many other unexplained things.

Anyway, if they want to believe in fairy tales, well... I don't give a damn fuck about it!

Jesus died on the cross in the story book as a means to bring other men under control of the church.

This the led to massive wealth and power of those men at the head of said church until this very day.

"Why would we lie?" says the man sitting in the golden throne situated in the luxury palace guarded by his private army with an estimated wealth of $15 billion.

I think what you fail to realise that religion is nothing more than a business, one that never has to prove its product as you dont get to sample it until after your dead.  Whoever came up with the original idea was quite the businessman  Grin

I wonder if telling lies about your age is classed as a deadly sin?   Grin Grin

I'm 49 and I voted out

Could you please educate me on the correct context then please?

Most religious folk always like to state we are just interpreting the text incorrectly when we point out yet another shocking statement in their chosen holy text.

Read my previous comment again, thank you  Smiley

So do you think Jesus is planning to pop down any time soon, preferably pre WWIII to save a few hundred million innocent women & children?

Of course you are taking a single Bible verse out of the content, like atheists always do. But you don't have to stay ignorant, just find out why Jesus died on the cross and you start to understand the nature of reality  Smiley

Firstly no film "proves" God's existence, no proof exists at all.

In regard to the hell section about sinners suffering for all eternity with "no chance of parole" as he puts it -

example:

A child steals a pack of sweats from a shop and does not repent.

Does this child then burn for all eternity in hell if it dies the later that day in a road accident?

Here is a bible quote just for fun :
Quote
4.  Exodus 22:2-4 If a thief is found while breaking into a house, and is struck down and dies, it is not a capital crime in that case, but if the sun has risen on him, then it is a capital crime in that case. A thief is certainly to make restitution, but if he has nothing, he is to be sold for his theft. If what was stolen is actually found alive in his possession, whether an ox, a donkey or a sheep, he is to repay double.

Its ok to murder a burglar as long as its dark.
If caught the thief has to pay compensation, if he's skint then its ok to sell him in to slavery.

Quite the moral high ground there  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

You didn't watch the film but started to protect your world view right after you saw it's a film proving God's existence and it's against your belief system. Your behavior is debunked and explained in the film if you watch it. You will find a lot of helpful information, it's not about judging you Smiley

p.s. the video the OP posted is same old religious shit, there is a section on hell where we suffer for all time without parole as he puts it.

He states if someone killed your mother wouldn't you want them punished?

My answer is yes I would, would I want that person to suffer for all eternity?  No probably not, does this mean I am more compassionate than his all powerful and forgiving God?

First of all apologies if I offend anyone with my views, it is not my intent.

I personally believe religion is one of the best "Arguments" (Excuses is a better word) for the universe being. Instead of using only science which currently says the big bang caused things to form without knowing what was before the big bang religion says everything is how it is because of X reason/person who operate on a higher level of being to us.
That being said I believe there is definitely things that humans aren't on a level to understand, think unexplained coincidences or senses that plants have and humans don't, in saying this I don't believe in any god, just that there is 'more' to the universe.

This already proven thanks to science, humans can only hear in a specific frequency range, see in a set light spectrum and only perceive 4 dimensions but we know there is hell of a lot more going on than our senses can detect through radio telescopes, I/R cameras etc.

Thanks for explaining it better Smiley
What that was meant to mean is that in my opinion everyone should be open to the idea of a higher being because of the evidence that there is more to everything than we know.

Having to prove the existence of God to an atheist is like having to prove the existence of the sun, at noon on a clear day. Yet millions are embracing the foolishness of atheism. “The Atheist Delusion” pulls back the curtain and reveals what is going on in the mind of those who deny the obvious. It introduces you to a number of atheists who you will follow as they go where the evidence leads, find a roadblock, and enter into a place of honesty that is rarely seen on film.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChWiZ3iXWwM

Enjoy  Smiley

Except there is hard physical evidence of our sun and many other suns.

If mankind hits a road block and does not yet understand something that does not equate to the work of god.

How many God's have existed throughout our history, what makes you so sure that your God is correct one?

Having to prove the existence of God to an atheist is like having to prove the existence of the sun, at noon on a clear day. Yet millions are embracing the foolishness of atheism. “The Atheist Delusion” pulls back the curtain and reveals what is going on in the mind of those who deny the obvious. It introduces you to a number of atheists who you will follow as they go where the evidence leads, find a roadblock, and enter into a place of honesty that is rarely seen on film.
