I'm getting 163.5 khs per card! not 327 hashes each ! I used to mine @ ~650 dogecoin so I am currently mining @ 1/4 of the normal scrypt currencies :-/

Tried it, none fails when used each card alone. Also as i said before when using 3 cards toghter.. you never know which one fails, sometimes its 0, another time its 2(the gpu that is connected to monitor) sometimes its 1... it choose randomly.

Maybe im using old version of vertminer, can anyone send me the latest link to download?

That's not bad. Remember hashrate is half of normal scrypt. Going to try your settings as mine (posted some 20 updates ago) got me a good 250Khs on HD7950's.

I have the following settings on my 2xGigabyte 7950s setup (I got a couple of cards n the shop):
./vertminer -o startum+tcp://stratum.vertco.in:8080 -u -p x -I 13  --thread-concurrency 14777   --gpu-engine 1050  --gpu-memclock 1500

these are the best settings I can get without getting HW errors and all I get is a whopping 327 mhs  !!!!

Apparently everyone has r9 280x now, so I have been having a lot of trouble trying to get better settings around here  

Would be awesome if more people published their configs for 7950s

Try running vertminer 3 times with -d 0, -d 1 and -d 2 for each card, that way you will diagnoze which fails

Tried ur settings, im running 2x asus 280x dc2t and 1x msi 280x gaming. Even with your cmd my 3 doesnt work toghter.. and when i restart the miner, you never know which two cards work, it picks random one card and shuts it off

Using 3gpu, 4gb ram. This setting gives me only HW errors.

When i set concurrency to 8192 then only 2 gpu works third one is off... How can i get third one to work ?

Have one R9 280x GV-R928XOC-3GD with stock 1100/1500. According Vertcoin-CGMinerAleks_NR3 have about 400kh/s (78C, HW=0) with this batch:

Testing this config now and it looks stable (when trying --thread-concurrency 8193 OS crashes after 5min).
1020/1800 yields about 390.
Note that monitor (or radmin/vnc video driver) can decrease your kh/s.
ASrock 970 extr4, sempron 145, 4gb ram, 13.12 catalyst, 12.7 sdk, win7x64, hunix memory in my sweety card (elpida memory is likely impossible to overclock).

Hi..so I've been a lurker on bitcointalk but not new to mining. I finally felt the need to register to ask for HELP lol.

I've got several rigs running with R9 280x (MSI Gaming, Sapphire Vapor-x, Asus DC2Top).

All are running with Vertcoin but the results are less then stellar. I tried following advice in this thread but espcially intensity and TC settings are impossible for me to apply as I > 12 results in HW errors by the dozen and TC higher then 6000ish disable my GPUs due to Buffer memory.

Example my Asus DC2Top Rig config using modified Vert CG Miner and CG Watcher for management:


yields 320ish khs per card. I feel 350-380 should be possible as I run them with normal scrypt at 801 kh/s.

These are current memclock and GPU clock settings but I tried everything from 950 to 1150 and memclock between 1400 and 1600, most settings are slower or equal in speed and never more than 320.

How are people running I=13 without tons of HW errors? How do you run 8193 TC without the GPUs failing?

setx gpu_maxalloc_percent 100  etc. are fixed parameters in my Win Environmental variables but even re-setting it manually doesn't do anything.

System RAM is 6 GB.

I always run my rigs without AMD drivers (only what win 8.1 wants to download automatically) and no AMD SDK.
Never felt the need for it as my rigs run awesome on normal scrypt.

Could it be the lack of drivers and SDK?

Any help is appreciated, will reward 0.05 VTC per 10 kh/s extra!

Does someone using vertminer? Can u describe what should I set to work with it, as I wanted to give that a try. I cant figure it out, if I set the cgminer settings it doesnt work.

Also, CPU mining is profitable? Did someone getting good results from it?

Using my settings, or another?

Where can i find vertminer 0.5.3 for Windows?? On the official page is only 0.5.2 to download?

Guys, when using normal scrypt, my GPU core clock is 100% steady, but with this coin the core clock is flipping. Do you guys see the same?

EDIT: Found the error... Was using a bad pool, could not get any connection... I am running fine now on 350 k/hash with cgminer.
