I'm mining hk.vertco.in

I've been mining ~330khash for about an hour or so and don't see any confirmed or unconfirmed coin in my account, is this normal?

Or does it sometimes take a while to see anything there??

Cheers.  Smiley

Anyone having stability issues running with 7950 ?
Running 4x 7950 with 4GB RAM.
I'm constantly having sick/dead card with sapphire 7950, it was fine working with scrypt up to 1100/1500 @1.1V
I downclock to 1025/1500 and still get sick/dead.
Not really sure what to try next besides downclocking again ?
Will adding RAM give more stability ?
It's mixed feeling to get the hang of this miner things are different.
Like changing I from 19 to 18 gives me the same hashrate.

I'm not fooling around with a 7950, but I've found that you sometimes need o drastically lower your Intensity and then build back up. For example, on a 7870 i get HW errors on 12 if my previous setting was 13, but not if I am moving from 11 to 12.

Vertcoin on nVidia, Cudaminer 2014-02-04

GTX780 with core overclocked to 1254Mhz = ~335kh/s
cudaminer.exe --algo=scrypt:2048 -d 0 -H 2 -C 1 -l T12x20 -i 0

GTX 670 overclocked to 1200mhz (using CPU for sha256) = ~155kh/s
cudaminer.exe --algo=scrypt:2048 -d 1 -H 1 -l K35x6 -i 0

Use these!

Donations welcome!

My computer:
Intel Pentium G680n 3.00 GHz
4.00 GB RAM
64 Bit Windows
AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series
Driver: 13.251.0.0

Running Vertcoin-CGMinerAleks_NR3

Settings:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://crunchpool.mooo.com:9171 -u VXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX -p x --expiry 1 --scan-time 1 --queue 0 -I 9 --thread-concurrency 3072

MAX hashrate I can get, without causing display driver to crash or other malfunction such as cgminer not starting or getting errors, is about 13~15Kh/s

Any thoughts? Do I need more RAM? Am I doing something wildly wrong? I admit some of my cgminer settings are just pulled out of thin air.

Lower the intensity. That will let it breathe a bit. Then creep it back up. Should be getting kh/s in the hundreds. I find these cards have a little "flashback" when changing code. Sometimes you need to jolt them back to life by changing one thing (as simple as 10 difference on core clock). I can run the same script 10 times and get a few different results. Its odd.

Thouse are the best settings for me
R9 280x :
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://POOL -u USER.Worker -p PASS -v 1 -w 256 -I 13 -g 2 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-powertune -20,-20 --gpu-fan 59,50 --temp-overheat 85,85 --temp-cutoff 90,90 --gpu-memclock 1500,1500 --gpu-engine 1000,1000 --thread-concurrency 8193
341kh/s

R9 290 :
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://POOL -u User.Worker -p PASS -I 19 -g 1 -w 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 24550 --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-powertune 10 -v 1 --auto-fan --temp-cutoff 85 --temp-overheat 83 --temp-target 78

447 kh/s

If i helped someone out if u want to tip : VfUzaU29Ri4oFGhBPLHsmsqMqh97uZ4wbS

is OCing for 290s unstable for 24/7 mining? I am still using stock clock&memory setting for my R9 and getting 430 for some gold cards and 420 avg for others

Try TC of 8192.

I get 360 Kh/s with my 7970 (flashed to 280x)

TC 8192
g 2
lookup gap 2
clock at 1000
mem at 1490

Intensity of 13

Also once you apply these settings restart the machine before try it.

Im using this

{
"pools" : [
   {
      "url" : "stratum+tcp://XXX",
      "user" : "XX",
      "pass" : "XX"
   }

]
,
"intensity" : "12",
"worksize" : "256",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"gpu-threads" : "2",
"expiry" : "30",
"scan-time" : "5",
"thread-concurrency" : "6400"
}

and am only getting about 220 each 7970/280x... ive got my clocks set as they would be for mining ~700kh/s on regular scrypt. Anyone have any advice? When i set it to 13 intensity i get HW errors... im surprised this is so low. Thought just to mine middlecoin, then but VTC on an exchange at this rate.

why doesnt vertminer apply 2 gpu threads to both my cards?  Both cards were running at 300khs and I realized i was running w/o the option and added it in and restarted the miner.  gpu 0 is running at 350 khs but gpu2 is still at 290~300.  Seems like its only applying to the 1 card.  This is vertminer 0.5.2

"gpu-memclock" : "1500",
"gpu-powertune" : "20",
"intensity" : "13",
"temp-overheat" : "80",

"temp-hysteresis" : "3",
"vectors" : "1",
"worksize" : "512",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"thread-concurrency" : "24550"

These are getting me about 330KH/s per GPU when using the PC.

When not using the PC for other stuff, I increase intensity to 20 and get 400KH/s per GPU.

A 7970, 7950 and any other configs and hashrates achieved would be great.
Is the HW high?  I can achieve 400KH/s with Intensity 20 but very high HW errors.  I cannot use 70% of normal scrypt TC as well.

Guys, after restarting i've got a half from my usual hr.
sapphire r9 290x clocked to 1000-engine  1400-mem (cant get 1500. Artefacts everywhere)
udated win 8.1 650W 6gb ram, 14 catalyst and manually installed AMD sdk. Using the right miner.

Few hours ago I'va got 390 khs, but after restarting i've got a half of it!!

My settings -I 20 -v 1 -w 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 22000 --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 1400 --gpu-powertune 10 --temp-target 89 --temp-overheat 95 -E 15 -Q 0 -s 30

And now I have 180 khs!! It makes me cry like a little girl. The only thing that i've done - is rebooting. Thats all! What's happening? Im totally sure that I didnt do anything.

Are you sure the 390 khs without any HW?
Notice thread-concurrency/worksize should be an integer.
BTW, why not use the above conf people posted.
There're some HW. A:200 HW:2
I'vw tried conf above. But they didnt work for me or was about 300 khs. Now i'm agree with 300, but can't get it back. Did i harm my GPU?

It's true, because your memory speed is 1400. I don't think your GPU is harmed, it's OK.

R9 290 around 255KH/s.  Only Intensity max 13 and TC varies from 8192 to 14320 no difference to hashrate.  M:1500E:1000 increases to 270Kh/s

Higher Intensity produces HW errors.

setx is environment variable for windows.
What does it mean to set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT above 100%? What does this actually do?

MSI R9 270X GAMING

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

hashrate 220KH/S

I have a Sapphire r9 270x but just can't get over 75 kh/s without HW errors.
It's strange I can't set a thread concurrency over 1024. I thought TC was a multiple of the shader count. My gpu has 1280 shaders and I can't even set thread-concurrency=1280 ?
It gives me "Error -61: clCreateBuffer, , decrease TC or increase LG"
I'm on windows with the modifed cgminer 3.7.2

try to use setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 200 (or even bigger number).

I use vertminer and directly execute the command above.
I don't use vertminer.conf to set the parameters, it makes a lot of troublesome. For example, setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 can not be active if you use vertminer.conf, even if I separately execute setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 before running vertminer.
But for my 280x system and 7850 system, I can use vertminer.conf.

that doesn't make sense.

setx is environment variable for windows.

I am also curious about it. May be I should execute setx as an administrator.

Hey guys me again with my R9 280x's!
On the config file in the vertminer folder (vertminer.CONF)
what code do i need to enter to control the fan speed - it's currently running at 85% all the time..

Thanks ^_^

put
