I do not live in the 10 countries that you put on the list, but I believe the gambling activity in my country is also high despite the fact that gambling is illegal. But so far I have found no research on how much gamblers in my country spend on gambling, so I can't tell you about the data.
I'm not sure how people in the 10 countries on the OP's list spend a fair amount of money on gambling and I think that's the fastest way to incur big losses. If it were me, I would probably think 10x as much before deciding to spend so much money on gambling.

What is the source for this data ? Is there any gambling governing body who controls all the world wide gambling and issue an official list of most gambling playing nations ?
If there is no such organization, then this data cannot be treated as the final correct data.

My country hasn't got listed on the top 10. Maybe this data is based on the countries where gambling is legal. In my country gambling is illegal, even the lotteries weren't allowed. Very few states run their own lottery and the control is in the hands of government. We don't have much of traditional Casinos, so people are not much into gambling. I'm sure the younger generation in my country is getting more involved into online gambling. Maybe within the next few years my country might also gets added to the top list.
Maybe they have criteria where they base this ranking if the country are legal. My country some of the gambling games are not legal or illegal but the other games is legal like lottery who is authorized by the government because the profit from the gambling games goes to the charity. Yes it is really possible that many people will play onlin gambling because it is good than the traditonal casino because playe anytime where ever they want and the good to this you are annonymous.

You also have to distinguish how many people gamble in a country, and how much volume is involved. You can have a country like China with the most inhabitants, if 50% would gamble there is no one in the world where gambling is more. If there are 1,000 Americans in America who all gamble roughly. then you will get a distorted picture of where gambling is most popular.

Since gambling is originated in China, I think it is one of the reasons why many gamblers are from asian countries, even the US is the biggest country who legalized casino. I also know that Singapore is one of the countries that has a huge numbers of gambling addicts, that is why gamblers all over the world always visit in Singapore just to gamble.

Even though China is the place where the first evidence of gambling was found, it doesn't mean that gambling comes from China. It's just that what makes gambling very closely related to China because since a long time ago the Chinese people are used to doing daily gambling activities and there are many gambling places spread across China.
And also There are many forms of gambling , I know this is irrelevant But i have read  a article in the Past that Even In Bible gambling was mentioned meaning earlier before Chinese claimed about this Proof , gambling is already existing . But of course only for those Who believe in That BOOK , but what I'm trying to say here is What can Be proven to be a Originated of gambling ?
Because they are the first who Use Tools and Accessories for specific gambling game?
Remember in Old days Even the Gladiators Fighting and Killing is a form of gambling ,and animals are also use for gambling.

Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!

The source of the information is what makes the report reliable, if that source is coming from an government agency or a private intuition which is popular with doing some analytical job, then we can consider it as a reliable one though we can't say it's completely correct. Having this information is important, at least it will give us some ideas on countries where people gamble the most and we can compare the addiction rate to determine if gambling really affect the life of the people when they are gambling.

I don't like the government doing a survey much more on a gambling, they can manipulate this for their needs, I prefer doing it by an independent survey company commissioned by international study companies for compiling data for their would be clients, it's reliable, transparent because they are putting their name on their surveys.

Mind explaining what manipulation would a government do for gambling survey ?

Don't you know that Government are conducting Surveys in everything in each country and not only gambling ,and besides the reason why they need to do this is for the TOURISM ,they are assessing the Gambling industry so the Promotion will be easier and subjectively .

This will generate Funds and also will added growth to the economy .

Private Survey are the one who use for  Manipulation ,Look at the Site from OP ,Obviously this was conducted to Favor some Countries for their gambling tourism campaign and not what the real score is.

In my opinion the ranking from the Worldatlas website source is inaccurate, because based on many articles that I read,
it is the United States as the biggest country which is indeed popular with gambling, and many people who experience losing
money when playing gambling. Las Vegas is the biggest casino center in the world, so it is natural for Americans to experience
a lot of losses for gambling. For the casino.org website the data is more accurate in my opinion, by placing the United States in
the first rank of countries where gambling occurs a lot.
United State become bigger country have legal casino gambling but looking with many enthusiastic gambler from Asian they make destination to Singapore to begin with casino gambling, I think close become reason why many gambler wanna go Singapore. I think Singapore become bigger country visited by many gambler every year almost Asian country not legal with gambling casino and only Singapore have way to legal gambling casino.

Look at that. I simply dont trust any of those rankings because they completely lack basis.

I think that list is just for informational purposes only, just to get an idea where gambling is. But if you will consider other factors, of course, there will be a different list. Rankings are derived in various factors, so they really are different if you are looking for a specific factor. Just look for other sources, anyway, you can always google it, right?

Try to check google and most of those listed countries are almost the same or do came from on one source.

There are lots of considerations for these numbers to be precise but overall you can already see the hint which of these countries do really have the most number when it
comes to gambling industry.

Its automatically understandable on which countries are really in rankings. It is quite evident and you can really see it.

Suprise to see Australia ranked number one by the first ranking platform with USA completely not in the list, while the second ranking platform listed USA first with Australia coming fourth. I'm just wondering if this is not misleading as I'm already doubting the credibility of the both rankings.

I think there is no correct data for the biggest gambling countries because there are many approaches to count such statistics. obviously that in top will be countries with high GDP where people can afford to lose some money.

This problem can be easily eliminated - we only need to adjust for the standard of living in a particular country. Or use not natural values, but relative ones - such as the average amount of money played in a casino in relation to the average salary in the country.

I think it is also in the way the money is measured, gambling takes different forms depending on the country you live on, for example in many countries most people gamble in established casinos and it is easy to get data out of them so countries with that gambling culture will be up in lists like this, but in countries in which people have the culture of making gambles on their own then this money most likely is not going to be reflected in statistics like this and it may be why India does not appear on any of the lists given by the OP.

You're absolutely right as even I asked some of my colleagues on this and got the same answer from them. I believe that the amount of population we've got, we must have been there in the list but yeah, as gambling is not legal here (just for the sake of saying it that way), I believe that the numbers in which people are betting online (because it's easy for a person to hide his/her identity and stay anonymous while betting online) can't be fetched as everything stays under the hood and it's not an easy task to just gather a person's identity and the amounts they've put on their bets. I've seen many Indians playing Blackjack with more than 1k USD per bet each time.

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
Quite surprised to see how India is not on the list there. I mean, every single year I used to go to my grandmother's home to celebrate the festival of Diwali and we people used to see our elders playing rummy and teen patti and what not. It's unbelievable that others don't play with their money?  Huh
Is it about the countries or is it about the average amount of money a person uses over gambling each month?
