Perhaps the article has common sense, since the Altcoins are really aimed at global change of the world around us.

I believe that the Altcoins follow BTC. And if the BTC will continue to decline in price, the prices of other coins will also fall. At the moment, BTC sets the trend for the entire crypto market.
If btc continue to fall most of those Alts will die and won't get any Support from the community, as investors and traders will look to invest more for Bitcoin instead of risking their money to another Alts, the market still lying with the date of Bitcoin and it's no good news if the value continue to crash.

The BTC crash is good news for Altcoins
You can think of it as good news maybe because you can buy altcoins at low prices. But for me if the bitcoin price is crash is the worst thing for the altcoin because the market becomes unstable and it looks very scary to trade. In addition, the bitcoin obtained from the altcoin trading if exchanged to fiat the results is very little.

whatever the problem faced by bitcoin, the altcoin must always be affected. so this is not good news for altcoins.

Btc crash isn't good for alts, as btc is the main market indicator.

Its should be the opportunity for the Altcoins to step up and to show the market that they will not rely on Bitcoin performance but what actually happening is the opposite that if Bitcoin will crash it will create domino effect to most of the Altcoins making the Altcoins market to crash too that is why most people says that Altcoin will not live without Bitcoin.

Altcoin is always connected to BTC because from the moment it crashed, there is mutual response. As we can see the crypto market, everything is still on red mark which it doesn't shows some bigger difference. Still the situation continue to drop and definitely those who have bigger holdings would start to worries assuming they invested last year's value.

It would be awesome if the market dominance of Bitcoin would go down, because I am tired of the fact, that if BTC is going down every altcoin is following. We need another wave of hype to reach another great goals.

bitcoin is indeed falling but in my opinion it's not good news when viewed from any side, and even worse the BTC situation and all the crypto coins on the market have survived until now whether that is good news, i don't think so. even the fall of the BTC is now very drastic, and hopefully the current market situation will end soon because I'm already bored with the current market conditions.
Yes for all of the coins to remain in a good position it is important that Bitcoin remain in a good position as people when see that the price of Bitcoin is dropped then they also remove their money from other coins as they think that the whole market will be dumped which actually happens.

Its always the volatility that crypto has to solve, if there are just less than 2% of the orld population who are in crypto and half of it cashout to secure their funds, the other half will follow.  If they see no money flows into the market in days, there is a higher chance that it will drop more making everyone panic.  If its not good for btc, its not also good for altcoins.

Trust me this is not exactly the case. The drop in the price of Bitcoin greatly affected altcoins. So you find a situation where alts that were bought at certain prices and because there was a drop in the price of BTC, the dollar doesn't reflect the amount it was bought

I guess it is quite impossible that the downfall of bitcoin will lead to the improvement of other coins, I guess it is the bitcoin that pulls the altcoins on the way up and it is quite having a direct relationship with altcoins.

I do not think there is any visible positive effect in the big alts price yet, look at eth it has suffered the same path down just like btc  so at the moment we see only one trend in the market and that is down.

Yes, I guess he said that while the bitcoin's status is negative the altcoin will going to benefit in that manner? If I am not mistaken I think most altcoins are dependent to bitcoin and bitcoin really influences the market value of altcoins.

The recent market crash is good news for consumers who've been waiting for the opportunity to pick up a few bargains to add to their portfolios before the next wave of growth begins

Institutional investors are primarily focused on assets that can be supported by an ETF/ETP product so these should be worthwhile long term investments

You said the blunt truth, as Bitcoin continues to crash so altcoins are also doing and I thin as times goes on the dependency of altc on the price of Bitcoin will not be forever. A time is coming when this influence will reduce and their will be healthy growth in the overall market.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/why-did-crypto-market-experience-a-27-billion-wipeout-experts-discuss-factors

Every situation has a bright side, you just have to look at the bigger picture!

According to Crypto Rand, a currency trader and technical analyst,

"We will have to wait some more months until BTC settle down its path through a potential reversal, but the alternative cryptocurrency market could take its own direction getting rid of the BTC influence. The big caps altcoin response has been amazing so far."

Further on, the article goes on to say,

"Institutional investors are focusing on products that provide investor protection and strengthen the infrastructure of the crypto market."

Such volatility doesn't mean anything. The true value of cryptocurrency lies in a strong foundation (which requires user-friendly decentralized marketplaces where we can use cryptocurrency, and added security in the form of escrow systems) which will be made possible with the upcoming ICO's.

They're not all scams!

Words of another analyst? I don't think altcoins will break free from Bitcoin in the nearest future. It might be inactive, which will allow altcoins to grow, but after another movement, we'll see the charts dependent on btc!

You are right. The fall down of BTC is not good for anyone or from any side. We must need a healthy BTC levels so that we can have more new projects are arriving in altcoin industry. When bitcoin is not doing well, I have seen many projects are getting delayed. Because, everything is being measured and viewed with respect to how BTC is performing. Without BTC, I guess nothing could find success here.

because the price of bitcoin has dropped today and it's a good news for altcoin investors in 2018 because they can be sure that their money will be bigger now that its price is too low.
