Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it
Correct me if I missed something but it appears we were all at least 50% wrong in our picks. I was 75% wrong, with the Seahawks being my only correct call. I just put a lot more stock in both Titans and Vikings.

I did not read the lastest posts to avoid the spoilers, however, after the Patriots' loss, I reckon that not betting on +8 might be a mistake. This is the playoffs. Teams will try harder, games will be scored closer.

In any case, I got spoilered by DireWolfM14's post heheheeh. Vikings were also +8?

Tennessee was +5, +4 at game start, while Vikings were +8.

Bills       ML         U?
Titans    Spread   O
Saints    ML         U?
SeaGulls Cover    U

Looks like it was a brutal week all around. I wouldn't even want to figure out what this bet would have been.

I was wrong on every one of my predictions, those were 50% are way better than me, lol.  I'm going to change my strategy next year on Wild Cards; only bet on the underdogs, lol.

Ravens -9.5 and Chiefs -9.5 is a lot to cover in the playoffs.  Especially for the Chiefs, with the Texans riding the comeback high.

Wow, congratulations to the Vikings, no one gave them a chance.  They move on to visit the 49ers next weekend, the Eagles and Seagulls play for an opportunity at Lambeau Field.

Well no one saw that coming, another controversial non call for a push off for the game.

I think it was minor.  If he didn't catch it they likely would have called defensive pass interference.

Vikings looking so good, with only a few minutes left in the 4th and the Saints' turning the ball over they should be able to close this one out.

Good thing I took the Eagles later at least one of us would be able to get three spread correctly.

Saints are playing with fire here! Brees shouldn't have forced that long pass, their run game is shit so far with Kamara and Murray combined for less 20 yards.

I have to admit i'm surprised by the Vikings, they are ready to play and Cook looks pretty healthy, almost 100 yards + a TD.

I am terrible at Fantasy Football!!!
Pats don't seem to have an answer to Derek Henry so far. They'll have to formulate something in the second half, which I believe they are quite capable of doing.

Edit: Fuck, well I guess not. Congrats to the Titans. Can't watch anymore.
That was definitely an ugly loss, Tannehill beat the patriots with eight complete passes, but obviously the MVP of this game was Henry which ran for 182 yards when everyone knew he was running the ball.

Now the season is over for the former champs there are many questions that should be addressed, Brady seems to have dispelled the possibility of retirement, but does Belichick still wants him there? Does he have a plan already in place to replace Brady? Brady for the first time in his career will be a free agent and despite his age there are going to be some teams pushing for his services and there are rumours the LA Chargers are very interested in him and it will not be a bad fit for Brady since they are a talented team and this could probably be a move that his family, especially Gisele could support, but even if Belichick wants him out and has a way to replace him will Kraft allow that? In my opinion there is no doubt the one that is the most responsible for the success of the Patriots is Belichick but Brady is the image of the franchise, can they really let him to walk away?

[145] MINNESOTA
[146] NEW ORLEANS -8

I'm sharing the general sentiment here that Saints will have an easy game so i'm picking them to win and cover the spread. I don't trust Cousins one bit, Dalvin Cook is coming off an injured shoulder. I'm sure Saints players and their fans remember what happened two years ago and will be highly motivated to make a statement today and demolish MIN.

[147] SEATTLE
[148] PHILADELPHIA +1

Eagles are lucky to be in the playoffs imo, getting to play Giants twice and Redskins in their final 4 games, which they barely won with 4th q heroics.
Way too many injuries on both sides of the ball, the homecourt advantage won't be enough to upset Seattle (7-1 away record). That's why i'm taking Seahawks to win and cover. The only chance Eagles have is if SEA comes flat to start the game just like they did last week v 49ers.

I haven't made any bets yet, likely halftime picks again. I took HOU to score over 13.5 @2.07 as i expected Bills to crumble in the second half. Generally, i'm not a fan of teams running trick plays on their opening drives followed by crazy sideline celebrations. It's just bad luck.

Who watched Lions v Packers last week? Lions ran almost the exact same trick play, Amendola to Blough for a touchdown. Lions had a 14 point lead at the half and lost by 3 pts. Sounds familiar, isn't it?  Grin

Took both home favorites to cover the spread for today's wildcard. The Saints looking unstoppable i'm confident they'll win but the spread seems in favor of the Vikings since they rarely lose by more than 8 points. Despite the Vikings keeping their games close when they lose I still like the odds on the spread I think it should've been -9 than -8.

Eagles looking somewhat good during the end of the season beating divisional teams to qualify while the Seahawks had poor results. Feels like another 50-50 because Seahawks had better results when playing away. I still voted for them to win because the home advantage and the momentum could be enough imo.

Now I wish I placed a bet on the Texans to win as they were paying +875 at one stage (...)

Hehe, same here, but you can't have it all, slow and steady wins the race. It was only a two-score game at halftime, but 2pt conversions don't come easy, so it was more feeling like a three-score game. And the Bills D is not easy to score against. That fumble from Allen was crucial.

Seattle are now already underdogs in some books. I still think they should come out victorious in this one, but it won't be easy. If they don't take care of the ball, they will lose. Philly D will be pumped to bail out Wentz - Ertz will be back so that should help. Will probably come down to the last posession. Looking forward to that one and should give some good inplay opportunities for those who like to take their chances betting wise.

Now I wish I placed a bet on the Texans to win as they were paying +875 at one stage but I'm happy that I got my live bet on them to cover the +5.5, I also liked the Titans to cover the +5 but didn't put it on. Anyway tomorrow I got the Saints and Eagles to win as most of you know I got the Saints to win the SB so I must ride with them.

Bills got robbed on that bullshit blind side block that wasn't and then they gifted houston and extra yard for a first.

But Buffalo didn't step up in the second so they didn't deserve to win either.

Both played down to the lowest common denominator except the Bills D showed up to play, that first drive for Allen and that last drive for Watson.

The rest of the game was easily forgettable.

Pats titans should be close.

What a match that was, when Texans couldn't get anything on their drive during the overtime I thought it was over for them. Then Bills got their turn gained some good yards but fell short in the fg range. That save by Watson keeping the play alive when he was mauled by two defenders sealed the game.

It's turning out to be quite an exciting game, though.  Man, I thought Josh Allen was going to lose it for his team in the fourth quarter.  Back to back sacks, then that attempted lateral, wtf?  Looks like the Texans are marching now.  Wow, that play to the 10, Deshaun Watson just turned into a magician.

I'm looking forward to the Patriots game, I'm expecting that to be the best game of the weekend.
