But also those people who has work like 8 - 5 jobs which after their work they usually goes to casino and gamble meaning if they do it on daily basis without a miss for sure it can lead to addiction. That is why it is better to have an hobby like sports which it will divert your attention to others than doing gambling
For me working from 8AM to 5PM is really make me tired because I've spend most of my time on my jobs, I only feel free during weekend where I have more spare time to gamble, travelling, shopping or do anything I like. I only gamble for short time during work days because I need to have time with my family especially play with my kids during their golden ages. If someone who have been married and can gamble everyday, seems like he has a problem about gambling addiction.

That is also what I noticed about my coworkers in my previous job: either they will go to the arena for cockfighting or they will go to other places to get drunk. I feel that they are not tired of doing it, no matter how busy the work is. Even I can't do it, as I want to rest after the work unless it is not a busy day on which I still have spare energy. Though I wouldn't say that they are addicted, as they can still control themselves, it is just part of their daily routine to do it.

Perhaps your coworkers find joy in gambling as their hobby or past time every time after work. As long as they are responsible and do everything well in your workplace, then it's all good. Time, money, effort, and of course funds, are essential in gambling. If they have enough spare of those and doesn't bypass their other duties and tasks as a family member, friend, workmate, and the likes, then we shouldn't intervene. But if it's the otherwise, we could give a feedback and a caring opinion.
As long you are aware with your actions
As long you would really be that responsible
As long you do know on how to handle your finances

Then you should really be fine. You cant really be finding yourself to be addicted on gambling anytime soon no matter how long you would be engaging into it.
Most errors or mistakes on which a certain person is on the time that they would be passing out on their senses on doing the right thing. They would really be just simply be
focusing on what they are currently dealing despite on having a hug losses already.

You wouldnt really be getting addicted if you are rally just having those border lines or boundaries or simply limits in towards self on everything you are dealing with.

I still see this as another over-hyped way of regarding motivational quotes about how successful anyone could be(cus most would think they could make it out with gambling....well anyways, that's somewhat possible) ....and the pre-knowledge that The consistency in doing a particular thing would rather yield something good...  Peeps don't even understand that it ain't applicable in every aspect of life  -- there are things you only need to engage in just for the fact that you know about its most probable authenticity,...not because it's actually working perfectly.
Gambling shouldn't push anyone into doing the undoable, just to be sure it cuts at the end of the day.... If your losses are bigger at the time, STOP LOSS by closing up the sight....it's that simple!

You know, the obscenities and severities at which these  gambling addicts have been going through is noticeabky becoming more and more deranged as time passes by. Way back then you wouldn't see a kidnapper asking for ransom so he could fund his addiction to gambling, let alone from a relative and your granddaughter out of all people. You're a special kind of a mentally-ill person to even think of going through such length, all because uou wanted more money to gamble with.

This is why intervention both from the family that the gambler is with, as well as the casino in which they play in should be imposed and integrated. Make sure ko one gets addicted to gambling by imposing daily thresholds on uow mucj or how long can they gamble and stay within the casino. Once they reached that, they're kicked out and banned for the day.

I noticed that the number of rehab facilities seem to grow over the last few tears, or at least the advertising from them. These days there seem to be special rehab programs for all types of addictions. It's a good thing as people also seem to be more willing to seek help and try to change their situation. The difference between a drug, alcohol or gambling addiction is, that in the latter case you are likely to use much more of your money. In severe cases you might even gamble away all your savings before realising that you need help. So it might be much harder for a gambling addict to afford rehab. Hopefully there is special assistance programs in place for the most serious cases. Personally I have managed to stay clear of a gambling addiction, even though I already gamble for many years. This might be due to the strict rules I put on myself, with the most important one being to have a fixed gambling budget for every week or month. Having a hard cap on my bankroll helped to not chase losses, which usually leads to even larger losses.
Though I'm not sure, I believe there are rehab centers or at least programs that help gambling addicts get a grasp on their addiction and slowly recover from it since some of the cases as you mentioned get so severe that they even gamble away their possessions, not just money. In very rare cases, people gamble on their houses and properties as well.

But when it comes to help, a rehab center or a helping hand can only be helpful if a person who is addicted admits that they have got this problem and that they want to get rid of it. If a person doesn't accept it or doesn't want any help, no one can really do anything.

I am always surprised when old people are desperate. At that old age I guess you have nothing left other than family to enjoy yourself. Financial issues are getting resolved anyways if you worked hard you know. Gambling addiction can hit people who have no job, no money, noone to support their life to experience fun etc. I always people who are prone to addictions to spend their free time with hobby. Making music, writing, watching cinema or even dancing can work a lot to solve addiction issues.
Addition is really a serious issue and its not as easy as you say it to actually stop this act. Gambling addiction grows with you till even your old age because its like a leech that is stuck with someone and only proper management can slow this addiction down and once its properly managed then before you can resolved to finding a way to actually stop this act and it needs to be handle at the early stages if not like you said you will end up selling most of your valuable things and end up useless and worthless at your old age.

it's crucial to approach gambling responsibly and with caution.
Keep in mind that gambling should be viewed as some stuff you do for fun, not a way to avoid responsibilities or even as a source of your bread and butter

Not all gambling addicts saw gambling as a source of income. Some started out as a fun thing too like most of us. It started as something they enjoyed and did in their spare time, especially those with deep pockets. They didn't see it as a source of income or as a way to hit it big.
I believe it's a process. They start cautiously, then start going in deeper and deeper, till they get to a stage where they can't pull themselves out anymore. I guess it's the same way with every other addiction, I may be wrong but till proven otherwise, that's how I see it.
So it's not only people that see gamble as a source of income that should be careful, but even those of us that see it as a fun thing too should be careful lest we fall in too deep.

As much as some persons lives has significantly changed because of the huge winnings they were able to get in gambling and the fact that this winnings has triggered millions of people across the globe with the desire to also play bets and as well massively win, one thing that's yet to be addressed is the ignorance by many of this people who wants to gamble but doesn't know the advantages and disadvantages.

It's absolutely unwise for someone who earns $1k monthly to gamble with more than $100 in a month. Because if one should gamble above 10% oh his income and fails to win it'll surely lead to gambling with over 95% of the total income in a bid to recover the lost money thereby making the person an addict

many gambling addicts have lost their minds because their desire to continue gambling overpowers their common sense, hence the importance of "gambling responsibly"
Addiction will conquer all, gambling addicts who use lust will lose their minds when the mind wants to get back all the money that has been spent on gambling. Smart gamblers prefer reason over passion, they spend money just for fun at the gambling table.
Gamblers need to have clear goals before spending their money in gambling establishments, Another factor that can influence gamblers' minds is using borrowed money to target winnings. Very ironic.

Most people in the case of gambling when they have experienced a big win always want to get that win back, and think that they will get better when they get that win, after the passage of time they cannot make a return from gambling and think about stopping, but with reasons before stopping. he wants to take back the money he has risked so that the pattern rotates which makes him addicted and has excessive expectations with the gambling he is doing, which in the end when gambling becomes his main need he cannot be kept away from gambling and feels that if he doesn't gamble then his life feels empty, like people who are already addicted to drugs I think the pattern is almost the same in addiction, which makes people do anything to be able to take drugs or gamble even worse to kill/sell/hold people to get a few pennies to gamble.

In fact, in my opinion, even a smart person if his gambling ambition is bigger, it will cover up what he has got as his knowledge, even borrowing to do gambling.
What is clear is that we must be able to control ourselves before something bad happens and if we feel that we are already addicted, it is important for us to tell the people closest to us so that they also help control us.

One of the easiest ways to keep yourself out of trouble is to find something that you truly like and in which you are willing to invest a great deal of your time and your effort but that at the same time such an activity is considered to be a plus in your life, and there are many activities like that, it is just that many people prefer the instant gratification they get from gambling and other activities, and this may lead them to develop an addiction.

If one understands the dangers of gambling addiction and must stay away from it then the only way is to never try to get into gambling because anyone who has entered into gambling has the potential to become a gambling addict.
So far, there are lots of gambling addicts who are difficult to cure unless there is intention and self-will to recover, so one can further limit the gambling activities that he has done.
Yes, when an addict has to deal with the law and ends up in prison they have the opportunity to recover until they stop gambling, which was always done before, but sometimes after they are free, there will be another desire that will appear to gamble again, and this is something that is hard to avoid.
Especially if they live in an environment full of freedom and an environment where there are lots of gambling activities, it is still possible for them to return to how they used to be where they liked gambling.
A gambling addict who has been affected for a long time will be difficult to cure. He also will not be able to see that he has a gambling addiction because he only knows how to gamble and does not know how to stop. Only other people could see him make the mistake of gambling non-stop.

If gambling addicts have to deal with the law and end up in prison, they must be developed to cure their gambling addiction so that they will not return to gambling when they get out of prison. This also requires help from his family, where with increased support from the family can give more confidence to the gambling addict. He will also think about getting well soon and not wanting to repeat his mistake.

Indeed, he cannot see that he is addicted to gambling, but there is still an awareness that he feels that he is going through a bad phase where he becomes addicted to gambling, it's just that he cannot control his own mind so he can stop gambling.
I'm sure everyone who is addicted is actually aware of it.

After being released from punishment, of course, the family can be the biggest factor in supporting a gambling addict to recover, but on the note that the family must also be able to control his association and environment so that he does not return to gatherings or be in gambling places so that he does not return to being a gambler.

many gambling addicts have lost their minds because their desire to continue gambling overpowers their common sense, hence the importance of "gambling responsibly"
The man in this story should never be allowed to see his daughter again or anywhere around children. He is a risk to them. Now he has destroyed his relationship his family forever. That what gambling does. It firsts destroys the life of the gambler then it goes on to destroy the relationship with the family and friends. If can't gamble with discipline then do not gamble at all. Gamblers need new friends and new hobbies. Sometimes, your environment and associations has its way of holding you down and holding you back. I hope we learn from this pathetic story.
Why not? It's hard for the child to grow up without a father, you know. The father can still be forgiven but he needs to promise that he will now change his life for the better. Gambling didn't do this incident so don't put the blame on it.

This is why gambling got a bad reputation because people often mistaken it as bad when in fact the problem is with them or the person that over gambles but I agree that we need a friend if we are lonely but we need to choose them wisely.  Finding a new hobby is also a great suggestion. Both of them can prevent us from becoming a gambling addict because we can now spend less time in this activity.
A great contribution indeed, but even as true as your comment is, the unfortunate fact remains that, most human beings will always find something to blame their misfortune on, it is just the way the human mind is wired, it takes great training, learning and energy to break free from such mindset.

I've seen criminals who when caught and being beaten, blame their parents inability to give them the kind of money they want for their upkeep, as a reason why they went into stealing..
They say this with all seriousness, hoping to find mercy from the angry mob, forgetting that there are still People who's parents are poorer, but yet, worked hard legitimately to fend for themselves, family and even the poor parents included.
You would really be always be having that something to say if we do speak about reasons on why we have done that, not only on stealing or whatever that results into bad outcome, there's always a reason on which you could be able to tell someone on why you have done that. When we do speak about those gambling addicts then it wont really be shocking for someone to end up on having that kind of
reasoning on what they have done that and it would really be just that common that there's always that someone on whom they would gonna blame out.It is really just that sad to see that there are
people who had been consumed out by addiction on which they do really end up on committing out these criminal acts which arent really be supposed to happen or to do so.

This is in result when addiction gets severe and you dont really have already the money to spend on which you cant really be able to distinguished whats good and bad on the time
where emotion and addiction do kicks in.

Gambling is an addictive habit that tends to damage an individual thinking if not curtailed, a chronic gambler can do anything in other to satisfy his gambling urge it is not easy for a gambling addict to make the decision to either gamble less or stop totally unless he is been educated on the effects of over gambling to individuals.
