gambling is an addiction and it makes everyone - rich or poor the addict and there is hardly any coming back unless the person has his own strong will
otherwise poor and rich stand in the same line

From what I've seen it's usually the poorer people who end up in the casinos losing their money.

The rich are too busy actually generating money in other ways, and because they usually analyze ways to make money the rich quickly realizes that there's no money to be made in gambling as a gambler, only as the owner of the casino.
Yin and yang . That's the nature of our universe .

You can be the white side , you can be the black side anytime as you are the one who choosing the path. I mean here if you really thinking about how gambling is a dangerous thing and too much dark sides in it ... you should aboid it at anu cost and be at the otherside to get in the better position mentally and financially. Not much people aware about this , they got blind by the greed.

For me, whether rich or poor people make no difference if they can't control themselves when gambling and still have high curiosity, then at that time they will be trapped in gambling games, so just changing the mindset will help us get stuck in gambling addiction, for example change the goal of gambling not for money anymore but to seek pleasure so that it is easier to enjoy every game and win.
Usually, richer people are more disciplined than the poor ones, that's why they get to that feet. Poor people are worst if get addictive in gambling, they will start to lend, maybe lied and lend in money and covered with lots of debts, worst is to commit crime just to get money. On the other hand rich have lesser chance to do those crimes but the chance are still high. I remember what happened to dnpthree that he gamble the money of his investors without them knowing it.  What a mess up.
Well, there are still several - well, I wouldnt want to us the word "poor", but "average" is more appropriate to us - there are several average gamblers who are still well disciplined, though I still agree with you that, the average are more at risk of doing silly things for money if they get addicted, majorly, everyone is at risk, both average and the rich, what matters is the level of self control, and how the person in question cares about his or her reputation as an individual.

Hi, Lucasgabd
I think that regardless of the situation it is always good to have a plan B to help them (and/or us).

Betting is something very lonely, mainly online betting, you have to know yourself very well as a player, however
consult with other friends, players it is that plan B that helps, it is difficult to have the capacity to self-evaluate when things go wrong, in fact, if you don't know someone, keeping a blog about your games or simply commenting on it can help you to know at what level of control you are.

So not only those who suspect that they are out of control should be evaluating themselves, every betting player should always be psychologically evaluated and if not, they cannot have a friend or have a blog, then this players should pay a psychologist.

So, in one case it has a solution, in the other it does not, consequently sometimes these two conditions tend to be confused, an inveterate player is not necessarily a gambler addict, it is a temporary situation that sometimes occurs at any time during the game, sometimes more intense, other times less.

Yeah the rich people are gamble for fun, they're correct because gambling is only for fun, not for making money. They will gamble regardless what the outcome is, even though they have gamble $1 Million, actually it's an amount that they can afford to lose.

While poor people are gamble to make money, it's not nothing new where they gamble with the money which should be used to buy foods or household, they don't care because they don't have a long term thought.
A good gambler is someone who is able to accept whatever the outcome is, even if they lose. Actually being poor or rich doesn't really affect a person's winnings and luck when gambling and also it doesn't affect how much they will lose, it all depends on oneself. Whoever it is, rich or poor, if they can't limit their lust when gambling then it is certain they will lose everything they have. But indeed your assumption is correct about poor people who are mostly always easily tempted by winning, maybe this is because of their insufficient economy so they have the assumption that by gambling they can get a lot of money easily without them knowing that they can also lose everything they have. they have.
All gamblers should be very aware from the start and know the risks so that before playing gambling they have thought about whatever betting money they are ready to lose, it is true that this is not about money to win but to win in terms of self-control, namely avoiding becoming a gambling addict is more important than on money.

In my opinion, the number of reckless offenses has nothing to do with gambling, so I would suggest that in fact the problem lies much deeper - most likely at the level of the psyche of each individual. We've all heard stories of people doing nonsense that is hard to believe, but that doesn't mean that they are all gamblers. It is quite possible that gambling can provoke a person, but if he is in his right mind it is quite difficult to do so. In addition, even people who do not gamble at all commit such reckless acts.

That is true, but gambling can have a powerful effect on some people's mind.

In the end a gambler might end up doing horrible things, and all because they are not thinking clearly, they are just too focused on the short term and the objective at hand, winning at gambling, which is not even possible.
Every vices certainly affects our whole personality, gambling is a vice so yes it can affect it. Our existing personality can also affect our attitude toward gambling and can contribute to gambling addiction. At the end if you are a gambling addict, it will affect your daily lives as you spend more on gambling and your time is mostly spent on your gambling activities. I believe that there will be times that you will be hard headed and do illogical things because of the result of the gambling activities that the gambler recently have. Addiction can affect our daily lives no matter what kind of addiction it is. The gambling performance is affected as well because of the the addiction habits.

You will get many experiences in gambling because it's a platform that has a large number of gamblers and non gamblers visiting it everyday, just use the forum here for an example, you will discover many people behaving like they were not from the planet earth with such their annoying acts, yet we all move together, with time some yield to change while some left, gambling experience is very wode, some make moves to abuse their system, attack them or even accused them for nothing, anything that has to do with dealing with a large number of people needs patience and a good security measures, things like this are inevitable from gambling platforms to have any time.

This is how evil can make people from gambling , even bloodlines can be orchestrated as victim or tools to sustain their addiction.
for me this is why Government sometimes need to interfere about how gambling operates
and how their players attitude and behavior as once they can see the addiction , then there is a way to treat them and stop them from doing more evil.
imagine His own Granddaughter ? where on earth that a person will have this act than a sinner?

The real addiction have made him change his behaviour which none could've expected. These kind of incidents happen often, but not for the purpose of gambling. In my country more number of suicides have taken place for the reason of losing big on gambling. Recently in an incident bank employee stole around $60k from the bank he works and ran away. Finally caught and on investigation he had done it to overcome the gambling loss that happened in the day.

but I see the case in the OP as too harsh, as a child and also a parent, I understand how devastated the child's mother feels when she hears that her child has been kidnapped and the kidnapper is her own father if I become the child's mother, then I will not reconcile with my father and will put him in jail, he has really lost his mind and maybe he will do something more reckless in the future like selling his grandaughter to a human organ trading syndicate just to gamble.
that is part of that , If i were the parents? i will never let anyone go close to my child without my view because even my own Father can threaten my child so what more if others?

the craziest thing is when a gambler who likes high adrenaline runs out of capital to gamble, that person will tend to act recklessly such as making threats to other gambling players or damaging surrounding property

Impulsive behavior and excessive expectations are 2 things that are difficult for gambling addicts to control and often this is what causes them to end up harming themselves and those around them

People who are addicted to gambling do the strangest things, and of course also with their feelings and minds. It would be better not to start gambling at all, then you never have to stop gambling. It is difficult to use your mind and keep thinking clearly once you have fallen into a gambling addiction, and it is very difficult to climb out of it. Almost impossible. When the money is gone, it's gone and you might want to consider kicking the habit of gambling. Often things go well for a while and then the process starts again with losses as a result.

I often have a hard time controlling myself while gambling and to tell the truth, money losses are higher in my gambling z report, but still, I think every person has different willpower. Everyone doesn't make the same mistake. Some people can control their will and continue to behave rationally while gambling. I think this example, or any other bad example, cannot be an example to cover everyone. Gambling is an activity that leads to bad experiences, but it is also an activity that relaxes us. I use its fun and relaxing side.

I agree, it is painful to read that but that's the reality, people who have a lot money or rich spend their money to entertain them such as in gambling and some other things, but poor people depende their life and their future to winning lotto ticket or whatsoever gambling game they want that will make them believe that it is the only thing or fastest thing to gain more money to supply their needs.

If a gambler is not financially sound, then it may be difficult to control his emotion some times. We often see some gamblers who use gambling money that requires their daily life. When a gambler puts that money on the bet, the hope of winning in him will increase and he can fail to take win the bet at that time. Many people dare to bet on the basic things in gambling. This is also an emotional issue where the gamblers can lose their money. So if you have any emotions in gaming life and if there is any human stress, you should never do gambling.

Poor gamblers get addicted easily more than rich gamblers. Poor gamblers are gambling because they need the money and when they don't win they can't get money from somewhere else and they have already lost the little that they had. Some borrow to gamble.

For those who borrow, they get pressured to pay back and return to gambling. A rich gambler could be doing it to get extra income and for entertainment which mightn't push him to become addicted. If a rich gambler becomes addicted they go broke in a shit time.

You can't be a discipline addict, addiction makes you lose control and do things you won't have done with you clear minds. Addiction makes you do things you might have only imagine like kidnapping someone to demand for ransom and use all the money to gamble.
Your point? It's huge. Talking about the social and economic stuff that fuels gambling addiction. It's a lousy scene when dreams of a cash bonanza push folks into a gambling vortex. But let's question this: isn't it more about money smarts, not just poverty, that leads to gambling trouble? Lots of people never learn to handle money. That could be a game-changer. You suggest rich folks are less likely to get hooked because they've got money to burn. But isn't addiction a head thing that doesn't care about your bank balance? Haven't there been high-rollers who've hit rock bottom? Looks like we're dealing with deep-seated personal and social issues. Mind-blowing!

Both poor and rich gamblers can be addicted to gambling. It is not that only the poor gambler is addicted to gambling and the rich ones have full control over their emotions. I have known many rich gamblers who have lost the majority of their money due to addiction to gambling.
The madness of gambling has nothing to do with the financial conditions of the gamblers. I would say that those gamblers who have more money are more addicted to gambling because they have more money to spend on gambling.

Yes, it is certainly the same thing no matter what is their life's status. There is no such thing as the rich getting leverage from gambling because they've got a higher capital, in-fact, I view the opposite thing where the rich do have more chances to get drown and get addicted towards gambling because they have the resources waiting at their own disposal and they have advantage needed to participate in such games with bigger capital needed. Moreover, because of their riches, their bets are much more risky because their bets are consists with 4-5 digits.
