Your emotions could actually do either way. If you are losing and you have become emotional and you want to chase that loss, you might end up losing even more. But if you won and you are also emotional and you are afraid that if you continue to gamble you will lose your money, then you will definitely go home with a win rather than a loss.

Again, I think we should have a different perception when we approach gambling as a whole. Sure, there is that opportunity for a person to win money in gambling but the stakes are just too high and the risks are easy to experience.
Gambling should be viewed as a form of entertainment primarily and making profit as secondary. If we approach gambling in this way, this would help balance and control our emotions as our priority is different and we would not feel compelled to make a profit every time we gamble.

Gambling should not be for money making. If you have money and you want to make money with the money that you have, go for something else which is not gambling. Also do not go for trading.
Go for gambling to have fun and entertain yourself with the games while using small amount of money to bet.
The mistake I made in the past was that I used all the money I was earning to gamble. But now that I have just little amount as my gambling budget, I gamble responsibly.
I don't know what motivates you to gamble if not money. If you remember the feeling of winning a gamble, you will know that the real fun is in winning and without it the supposes fun is like suppressing the pains of losing money. If thats true its an unfortunate delusion because it doesnt make money in a consistent way. Be honest and admit you play for the buzz of the game not the money making, thats why we go to work and do that job which is not a game but does consistently bring in money. Gambling is for fun, state the obvious and you are then more likely to win. The idea of emotions failing to win is primarily from lack of realism to your actions and money control, just take away earnings when you get it and you dont have to be a saint.

Positive emotions doesn’t do shit to help a gambler win more in the short or long run anywhere. You said it yourself, the strategies used cannot be ignored. You need adequate research and knowledge to help in your strategy. Then with a little bit of luck, you’re good.
You can be cheery all you want and still experience regular losses. I would agree though that emotions could have some influence in our thoughts and could help sway our decisions. Having a strategy doesn't necessarily mean you'll going to make money in gambling. In my experience, luck is still a major factor to win regardless of what games you play. That being said, gambling should not be treated as a way to earn money because it is quite risky. Instead of gaining, there's a high chance to lose your capital. The reason why we often advice the beginners to only use the money that you can live without since losing is inevitable. From my view emotions comes when you place your bet and you didn't win for somethings maybe after noticing you don't always secure winning and your strategies has failed you then nothing much than causing emotional attacks because you weren't able to secure winning anymore but in a situation where a gambler keeps gambling and making winning there is no time s/he would be affected emotionally, and again it mostly happens when the gambler is constantly using an amount he can't afford to lose to gamble whenever they lost automatically it kills their passion and interest to gamble excepts for the chronic gamblers.

It's difficult to control it when you are in that moment. Some will say we have to be disciplined but that's not easy as we keep on losing the game. I have been on moments where I always punched my monitor and there are times I use cursed words more than understanding where my bets should go.
I don't think anyone could control their emotion, especially those who think their money is important because it came from their hard work and should not just be taken away that easily.
We only rely on RTP when it comes to casino games but what if RTP is too long to happen and our balance is depleted before it comes? That sucks.
I think that also happened to me a lot of times before I realized that beating the house is near impossible so I switched some of my funds to sports betting and focused on it. Now, casino games for me is just to have something to do in boring times.

Controlling emotion in gambling is something that deals with understanding because if you don't have understanding or you like understanding you will not be able to control your emotion in gambling you will be motivated to gamble always or consistently because your idea or you're knowledge will be going that you'll be making a profit in gambling almost everyday and every hour but when you have emotion or you are not over excited or you are not more of interested in gambling you will know your limit and you also have a time table to gamble and also know the statistics of what you have spent so far weekly and the monthly in your gambling table
