@7788bitcoin. Also, running his own MMA promotions company and supporting a stable of 20 Russian MMA fighters requires much money to maintain hehehe. Conor will be his gold mine to have all those expenses paid for years hehe.
Khabib Nurmagomedov earned over $6 million in his last fight against Justin Gaethje, he is one of the highest paid athletes in Russia as per the reports and he has other ventures other than the recently purchased MMA promotion. He is opening gyms under his name in different countries including London and he is a brand ambassador for different brands earning millions and he does have other business ventures as well and some of them including his earnings are undisclosed .

However, owning many businesses will also need the cashflow to properly run them. The more cash on hand had, this will be better and easier for the business owner. I reckon it would be a very wise business decision for Khabib to fight Conor. I also speculate Conor also needs more liquidity in his cashflow hehehe.

Just found out that Khabib is the owner of a mobile operator Eagle Network (https://eaglemobile.ru/#toggle-top-menu - sorry, this is available only on Russian language, but your browser could translate it easily). The network is freshly created (Dec 20, 2020). I think that took a great part of Khabibs savings and we might see his “last 30th fight” Smiley

Khabib will probably return if Connor puts on a show, which means one very last showdown between the two. I would be very much hyped for the fight, but I'm not sure if I would be thrilled about Khabib breaking his promise, and returning so soon as I took him as a man of his word, especially because it was his promise to his family.
He lost his coach and a dad who started the journey together and his dad's dream was to reach 30 fights and then retire and considering his dad passed away suddenly he made a promise to his mother that he will not fight again, even if he returns that will be to fulfill the dream of his father to reach that 30 and it can be justified, more over i would love to see Khabib fight for alteast 2 to 3 years and rewrite UFC history for more title defense Grin.

@Welsh By the way good picks.

I wasn't too far off of my predictions, but that Mores fight was absolutely shocking. I'd think that both might be cut from the UFC if they keep performing like that. In other news, Max proved all of us doubters wrong, and he looked probably the best he's ever been. Title contention absolutely. Khabib will probably return if Connor puts on a show, which means one very last showdown between the two. I would be very much hyped for the fight, but I'm not sure if I would be thrilled about Khabib breaking his promise, and returning so soon as I took him as a man of his word, especially because it was his promise to his family.

As for the Max Holloway fight, a lot of people suggesting it will be hard to beat for the fight of the year contender, but honestly I thought his performance was fantastic, but it wasn't all that much of a fight, rather just a beat down. Honestly, at times it looked like Rocky when he's in the factory punching some meat bags. Not to be totally disrespectful of Kattar as the guys got a chin of steel, but he was totally outclassed on the night.

Few days left before mystic Mac enters the octagon again. Excited?
It is a crucial fight for Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier considering how tight the competition is in the division, i thought after meeting with Khabib Nurmagomedov, Dana White would talk about the vacant title but now news are coming out that he might be returning to defend his title and it all depends upon how the main event and co main event plays out.

Dana White will be praying that Conor McGregor wins the match so that he will try to make the rematch with Khabib which could be the biggest fight in UFC history Grin.

I thought I had the money in the bag betting on under 4.5. I was really expecting Max to win by TKO. I fell on bookies trap once again Grin Regardless of my betting result, it was an entertaining match. Good to see the former champ back to winning ways.

I think Calvin Kattar needs to rely on his striking but Max Holloway I think he will not struggle against Calvin Kattar, I think that Kattar will not have the same effect on Holloway as Poirier, that is why I think that Max Holloway can have a huge chance in beating Kattar, That is why I am going with Holloway.
Calvin Kattar is a striker and so does Max Holloway and their game plan is not secret either, the interesting aspect of the fight is that as a fan i would like to see who will impose their will in the fight with their striking and presence of mind. The problem i see with Max Holloway is that he had some really tough fights and lost and he was eating a lot of shots in all of those fights and that could hamper his confidence.

I will be watching this fight as a fan rather than placing a bet in the above card.

Yup and Kattar is pretty comfortable when fighting from the outside.  He’s not the type of fighter who needs to crash against his opponents to get a couple of punches in.  But still..  Holloway is a former champ who fought the best guys at FW and he is no way on a decline yet.

For what the lines are, I lean Holloway.  But I have a funny feeling in my gut Kattar could win it somehow.  Dunno...

Max Holloway fights aggressively against Calvin Kattar but it is not really enough to takedown Kattar, and I think Kattar really did a great job hanging on until both fighters turned bloodied, Max Holloway doesn't seem to have the striking power that is why Calvin Kattar's perseverance keep on fighting, I think this is a brutal fight both fighters did well but Holloway devastated the points in winning a decision.

after that 2 consecutive loss against Volkanovski I think Kattar is a good trial for him in redeeming his losses, but I guess he will have a hard time emotionally in preparing from this fight, It will surely determine all on the performance against Kattar if Holloway can conquer that.
It is a really crucial fight for Max Holloway as a loss would take him far away from the title picture and i am hoping he is well prepared and on the other hand a win here for Calvin Kattar could propel him to a title shot.

Holloway did his best in making the fight to TKO but Calvin Kattar is one tough fighter to crack open, that is why it ended up in a Decision I think that the technique of Max Holloway seems effective against Kattar but he lacks power in his strike to take the fight into TKO.

I had some doubts before this fight but this was probably the best edition of Max Holloway I ever saw and I am surprised fight was not finished earlier by judges or Calvin Kattar team.
Holloway made a new UFC record 445 significant strikes and Kattar was like his punching bag in this fight.
Respect for amazing performance.

Max Holloway fought the best fight of his life against Calvin Kattar and he will get a rematch against the champion with the level of performance he had.
It was an important fight for Max Holloway to be in the title contention and with the performance he displayed he will be facing Alexander Volkanovski once again in the near future and even Dana White said the trilogy is possible this year.

I did not place a bet in the main event but the ones i made was a disaster, i made a parlay with Santiago Ponzinibbio, Joaquin Buckley and Dusko Todorovic and all these fighters lost in the first round Undecided.
It was a good card and i just watched the fights and i had doubts about Santiago Ponzinibbio as he is returning after a two year gap and that showed and Joaquin Buckley fought back to back fights without taking much rest and a loss would make him think twice about returning fast.

I remember watching Matt Brown participating in Ultimate Fighter tv show and that was in 2008. I thought he retired long time ago, but opened his page on wiki and it turned out still competes. He almost has no fight last years. Why Dana keeps him in the organization?
Matt Brown and Carlos Condit are legends of the sport and they both fought last year, Matt Brown fought Miguel Baeza but lost that fight and he needs to retire as he is 40 years of age while Carlos Condit is on a two fight winning streak after a loosing streak.

@notblox1. It appears Dana has created the storyboard for the return of Khabib. Khabib said he wants someone to do something spectacular. I reckon everyone should begin to cheer for Conor to do something spectacular now hehehehe. Turning kick to the head might and some trashtalk will do this hehe.

UFC president Dana White finally talked with Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov about his decision and he will announce it before UFC maincard on ABC tv on 3pm ET.

I didn't see his face happy, and he could just said it now and done with it, but I guess it's better for him to hype it Smiley

Fight Phil Hawes vs Nassourdine Imavov is removed from the card and canceled without explanation.

Holloway is still young and can beat any fighter in the division but i think he does lack in confidence like he used to in the past because when the played the same game plan against Dustin Poirier he matched him well and Poirier is a far superior striker and i still believe if Holloway did not make that decision to move up and look for a second title he would still be the champion.

Kinda as of late.  I don’t think he’ll even win vs Brian Ortega 2.0.  Go watch Ortega vs Korean Zombie match.  Big cup Ortega improved a tooon.

Oh..  A little support from the regs itt.  Let’s give these guys’ podcast a listen and a like.  Smiley

Yeah, I watched that fight when it was on. I was fully expecting the Zombie to take him part, after having such a long time out for Ortega looked fantastic. He's always been a good striker, but what impressed me the most was his patience, which I don't think he's always had. Honestly, I've got Ortega potentially making some waves in the division.

Yeah, Max Holloway is a bit of a problem pick isn't he. I've seen him do extremely well, and I've seen him to the exact same in the opposite direction. I do believe he might be lacking that fire that fighters seem to have, and whether its down to his personal circumstances, I don't know.

I still think I fancy him to edge it on points. As for Hawes, its a difficult one. Seems the odds are favoring a TKO, but I just don't think he'll be able to catch Imaov cleanly enough, but I do think his damage in the first, and second will be enough to get him the win. Not entirely sure though, and I can see why people are going for his opponent.

Hopefully, we don't have any drop outs, because it looks like a fairly action packed day, with some good pacing.

I find it hard to judge interviews to be honest. Usually, fighters don't want to do much talking, with the exception of the likes of Connor Mcgregor. Although, not in UFC I know that Tyson Fury has been very public about his media obligations, and how they wear down on him. I don't think Holloway will get walked over, but I have reconsidering my pick there. I've seen Holloway go through the trenches to get the win though, and I can't just ignore that as he definitely has it in him to endure, and win pretty much any fight.
