Another surprise Conor McGregor is knocked out by Dustin Poirier  Cheesy. Now Dana White will be angry that the Khabib rematch will never happen.

Now Khabib can face Michael Chandler as McGregor rematch is out of the picture.

It's the biggest surprise of this event, this is a big turn around for McGregor, the Pacquiao fight might not push through now, he is the heavy favorite here but Poirier wants to make the fight even, we might see a trilogy on this one and we will see Khabib mocking McGregor after this loss, I guess Mcgregor invincibility in the ring is gone, great performance for Poirier this one is much better than the Khabibi Mcgregor fight.

McGregor was out for so long that it seems he lost his touch with the sport. At least in this game.

The Pacquiao fight just got a $XX.XXX.XXX devaluation! Which is good and can lead to more normal PPV prices.

I definitely didn't expect to see McGregor lose at boxing Poirier.  I think we might see a part 3 for the belt if Khabib doesn't come out of retirement, but if McGregor loses that as well then I think he'd be lucky to get the Logan Paul fight, let alone Pacquiao.  McGregor had a hell of a few fights when at his peak.  Him and Rousey were must watches.  Those days are behind us though.  The search for a new people's champion is on.

Surprise surprise Michael Chandler knocked out Daniel Hooker and made a grand entry in the UFC and his post fight Octagon interview was priceless. I did not expect the fight to get over this fast and the first combination Michael Chandler landed Hooker was down and then it was a matter of time to finish him and hopefully we will see him against Khabib.

Now the main event and i am expecting a great battle for the fans.

They announced the Connor has entered the building.  The wait will soon be over.  Win or lose, I'm hoping we see a good fight.  I very much prefer seeing him box instead of wrestle.  Would love to see a knock out.  Enjoy the fight everyone!
It will be a great fight, it will be a stand up fight for most part and Conor McGregor have a pretty good take down defense and Dustin  Poirier also prefers to stand up until the fight goes to the ground and he has some great submission skills. I placed a bet on the two underdogs, i picked Michael Chandler and Dustin Poirier in parlay and lets see how that will go. Just two more fights to go and it will be a test for Michael Chandler to prove his worth and i am expecting a wrestling based fight plan to counter Hooker.

I've seen information that Conor will make about 50 million dollars for this fight

Ive seen different numbers. $5 millions + percentage of ppv for Conor and $1 for Dustin.

Checked my old bookie account and found out I have few cents there. Then though I think Conor will most likely win, Ive placed my 10,37 EUR bet on Dustin. 34 EUR looks much sweeter than 13 Grin not a big disappointment if I lose.

Even though I'm not a fan of Conor McGregor. But I'm looking forward to this fight. Of course I think Conor will win. I think the fight will be over before the end of the fight.  And the bookmakers are betting on Conor.

But still I think it'll be interesting to watch. I've seen information that Conor will make about 50 million dollars for this fight
He is the man when it comes to making money in this game no doubt. I also think he will win this one, but don't think it will be as easy as you seem to expect, but as you say I'm pretty excited to see how will Conor look in this one.

I've gone for a cheeky bet on Mcgregor to get a TKO inside the 4th or 5th round. No matter what happens, I only hope that its an actual fight, and doesn't end like it did last time. I want to see a few rounds of these boys going at each other, to get a good idea on the skill set difference.
Your wish will be fulfilled as it is not that easy to finish Dustin Poirier in the early rounds once he transitioned to the current division and historically Conor McGregor never had a knockout victory after the third round, either it goes to the decision or he looses.

My prediction for this card.
Sara McMann, Michael Chandler, Makhmud Muradov, Amir Albazi, Joanne Calderwood and Amanda Ribas.

Nothing stood out to me in the weigh ins, except both fighters are looking ready. Honestly, if I were to bet on it this fight probably does end via a TKO. Just because of the energy coming into this fight, Conor has a lot to prove after some justified criticism, and Poirier will be looking to make up for last time against Conor. Conor doesn't usually play a slow fight, and Poirier with something to prove sticks out to me as a potential open fight, which will lead to one of the boys getting knocked out.

I'm still sticking with chandler against Hooker, but I'll change to a decision rather than a TKO. I'm also changing to a Conor TKO, just because of the mentioned energy coming into the fight from both sides.

If Poirier would not last up to 6 rounds then Conor McGregor can win this, And if Conor McGregor can not takedown Poirier immediately this may end up in a decision, I should say Dustin Poirier is one tough fighter to crack, But I guess the training of McGregor has paid off against Donald Cerrone,

But I would like to see Conor fight Khabib again but I don't think that may happen if Khabib Nurmagomedov would have an offer for a rematch for a ton of something, but still, it is on 1% possible.

Ottman Azaitar was also removed by Dana from the UFC for violating safety protocols. It appears that he does not care for this sport or his career in MMA.
To surpass the security and allow people outside the bubble that could risk the entire people coming into this fight is a serious situation, i cannot understand why Ottman Azaitar and his team wanted to do these kind of things silly activities during a pandemic situation which will nullify all the hard work they have done to keep everyone secure.

But once Poirier can take the fight to later rounds, then as history shows that  McGregor has lost when the fight has reached the later rounds and I think Poirer's toughness ability has the power to do so.
Dustin Poirier is durable in the 155 pound division and i am expecting the fight to go to the later rounds and it all depends upon the conditioning of Conor McGregor as well.

This is first Michael Chandler fight in UFC after coming from Bellator and I like him against Hooker but not sure how he is going to handle transition and first fight presure.
Michael Chandler is training hard for a long time and it is going to be a great fight and Hooker is a good striker and has the height advantage.

It's crazy what Ottman Azaitar did with breaking the rules and jumping in and out the bubble, that resulted in him now being released from UFC as confirmed by Dana White in this interview:

After all removed fights this is final fight card for UFC 257:

Poirier is the same as he was when he faced  McGregor before? Absolutely NO. He is more experienced and tougher.
But  McGregor's strength of TKO in the early stages of the fight will play a crucial role here. The combination of speed, power, and precision of attack favors McGregor.
But once Poirier can take the fight to later rounds, then as history shows that  McGregor has lost when the fight has reached the later rounds and I think Poirer's toughness ability has the power to do so.

It's going to be a tough fight but odds favor McGregor and my personal favorite McGregor too. So, I hope he wins.

Bad news... fight Ottman Azaitar vs. Matt Frevola and Nasrat Haqparast vs Arman Tsarukyan are canceled and removed from UFC 257 fight card Sad
Ottman Azaitar was one of my UFC picks this time but he missed to show up for weigh-in, and similar thing happened with other mentioned fighter Nasrat Haqparast.

Good thing is that main and co-main events are confirmed!

Ottman Azaitar was also removed by Dana from the UFC for violating safety protocols. It appears that he does not care for this sport or his career in MMA.

As reported by Farrah Hannoun of MMA Junkie, Azaitar and his team cut their wristbands and handed them off to individuals who were outside of the safe zone, who were then snuck past security members. The entire ordeal was caught on camera.

On more lighter news, Conor donated to Dustin Poirier’s The Good Fight Foundation. Similar to how good and entertaining it is to watch the bad Conor, the good Conor is also not bad to watch hehehehe.

Dustin Poirier has confirmed Conor McGregor has donated to his charity, the Good Fight Foundation.

In the making of this fight, originally, McGregor and Poirier were arranging their own exhibition bout with the Irishman donating to Poirier’s charity. However, the UFC ended up making the fight, but “The Diamond” revealed McGregor kept to his word and donated to the charity.

Dustin Poirier VS Conor McGregor

This is the fight that we are all been waiting for and it will be tomorrow and in my opinion, I really like to see how McGregor improves here and against the Cowboy Cerrone that he beat in just 4 Mins 20 Secs, but he can not ignore Poirier's toughness and in his fight against Dan Hooker it end up in a bloody decision both men never giving up, it was a mess but Dan Hooker is one tough guy to crack open, my bet is on Conor McGregor.

I haven't seen the weigh ins yet, but I think Connor might prove that his cardio has got better. This has always been a criticism of his, and arguably you could say that's why he lost against Mayweather, and he wants to fight Pac which is going to take some cardio to even compete. I know that Connor has been pushing a fitness app recently, surely he can't show the same fitness issues while pushing this app out there?

That being said I'm not even sure this is going to reach the later rounds. Conor knocked out Poirier very quickly last time out, but Poirier has looked like a stronger fighter ever since, and looks like the real business. Although, you just can't count Conor out. He's just an incredible athlete.

Here's my predictions pending changes, depending on anything stand out ish that happened during the weigh ins. I usually tend to look out for signals of a bad cut rather than anything like not looking in the zone etc. Weigh ins don't usually overly influence my predictions though.

Albazi (Decision)
Evloev (Decision)
Rountree (TKO/KO)
Antonio Carlos Junior (Decision)
Pena (Decision)
Tsarukyan (Decision)
Ribas (Decision)
Muradov
Calderwood (Decision)
Chandler (TKO/KO)
Mcgregor (Decision)

I can't see a lot of upsets going on this weekend, but I might be wrong. I've got Mcgregor by decision, but its entirely possible this ends in the first couple of rounds. However, I kind of want to see these two put a show on, considering I'm going to be staying up to watch it. I think we'll see Poirier being a little more cautious against Mcgregor this time out.

The pressure on this fight to end in a "spectacular" way is massive though, and I'm not sure if we are going to see Conor go in all guns blazing, gas out, and then get caught. I hope not, as there's definitely a story arc to him winning.
