Fight Karl Roberson vs Dalcha Lungiambula is also canceled because of positive covid testing...again, and that fight is postponed.
We saw this so many times so I am waiting for the last day before talking for sure who will really fight.
Dana White and friends are having much headaches and things to combine Smiley

^  Nope, more like Dana was desperate and offered him money and a UFC deal for his brother.  Dana lost Nunes vs Anderson and Yan vs Sterling.  That's supposed to be the main event and the co main for 256.

And Angela Hill got covid so she's out and Andrea Lee is out too due to injury.

Fighters who are under the radar to watch for this event are Fiziev, watch his bout vs Diakeise.  His kicks to the body crack like lightning in the arena.  Billy Q is good.  And Cyrl Gane, who's prolly the future of UFC HW imho.

I guess Janiroba is somebody to watch out for...  I'm not sure why she's the underdog.  And I hope Kevin Holland performs well.  He's always fun to watch.

Yes they do.  They suspend and fine fighters and over turn their wins to no contests.  They did it to Nick Diaz.
The USADA has relaxed the rules, after the second Conor McGregor fight Nate Diaz smoked CBD (Cannabidiol) right after the fight and he was vaping during the post fight interview and he did not get a suspension and there was a controversy after that because his brother Nick Diaz was suspended for 5 years prior for smoking Weed and then they decided they will allow fighters to use CBD after the competition. Now the rules are more relaxed than before and you can use Marijuana but not on the day of the fight but outside competition they will not suspend the fighters.

The NSAC or whoever still fines fighters and over turns wins to no contests for weed.  Look it up.  Niko Price was the latest one.  Not sure about CBD tho.

Edit:  To get you guys into it.  Wink

Flyweight: Deiveson Figueiredo (c) vs. Brandon Moreno
Lightweight: Tony Ferguson vs. Charles Oliveira
Props to Fig for taking up fights again after defending his belt just recently. He must be so bored at home or that he just want to collect more money (including fight of the night bonus).

Tony vs. Charles - the one with a tougher skull is going to win this fight because it's going to be another bloodshed. Tony already lost that "invincible" aura and I hope he's well conditioned in this fight. If he wins, great! he could be ready for a title shot. If he loses, no more excuses like problematic weight cut.

I think that main event of the evening will be stolen by Ferguson vs Oliveira fight. My prediction - Oliveira win by Submission.
Also pay attention to dos Santos vs Gane fight. I think that old dos Santos will be TKO'ed. And don't miss Jacare fight against Holland  Wink
I will not go against Tony Ferguson and i am expecting him to submit Charles Oliveira, he had a bad day against Justin Gaethje and he was foolish enough to cut weight twice which is not great for the body and it showed in the performance. There are familiar faces in this card and have to look at their recent fights to make my pick.

I think it is time for Ovince Saint Preux to slowly think about retirement.
Fight of the Night was Marvin Vettori vs Jack Hermansson and bonuses for performance of the night goes to Gabriel Benítez and Jordan Leavitt.

Here is Post Fight full press conference with Dana White announcing around 60 fighters getting cut from UFC:

^  Yup covid.  Sad  But Durden had pink eye.  Next time he should make sure the girl is straight from the shower before he starts eating ass.  Lolol.

And I was wrong...  Topuria's legit.  I feel stupid for taking action on Jackson.  Cheesy  Can't wait to see him back in there again.

Another thing that caught my eye was Dolidze.  He wasn't able to finish a guy who came out of a one year suspension for PED use.  Could be a fade vs better competition.

^  NSAC, USADA or whoever should take weed off the list of prohibited substances.  I mean seriously, wtf?  And Dana made it look like Yair Rodriguez was in serious Mexican cartel trouble at last week's post fight press conference.  Lol.
In the UFC the USADA will not prosecute if you have taken weed and they have taken that action when Nate Diaz started vaping right after his fight against Conor McGregor and it was a controversy during that time but then Jeff Novitzky AKA the Golden Snitch came out with the decision and there is a limit to the amount you can have during fight time.

Here is the results, it was a card with many fights scrapped and Marvin Vettori fought well and he only lost the third round and Jack Hermansson was not able to take him down.
Jamahal Hill impressed me and OSP failed again.

According to multiple sources Yoel Romero just released from UFC contract after seven years, probably because of missing his drug tests like I wrote before or something even worse! Maybe we are going to see him on some other promotion like Bellator.
Yoel Romero left the UFC and if he can join any other promotion i am sure he will become their champion even at 43 years and it is a good move by his management.

Ovince Saint Preux (207.5)* vs Jamahal Hill (205.5)
Gabriel Benitez (155.5) vs Justin Jaynes (156)
Montana De La Rosa (125.75) vs Taila Santos (125.5)
Roman Dolidze (205.5) vs John Allan (205)
Nate Landwehr (145.5) vs Movsar Evloev (145.5)
Louis Smolka (134.5) vs Jose Quinonez (135)
Matt Wiman (155.5) vs Jordan Leavitt (155.5)
Jimmy Flick (125.5) vs Cody Durden (125.5)
Ilia Topuria (145) vs Damon Jackson (145)
Gian Villante (243) vs Jake Collier (264.5)

*OSP missed weight by 1.5 lbs.

Edit:  Leavitt didn't look so good on the scale.  His path to win is via sub.  Wiman has never been subbed, slow on the feet and overall bad..  Take that and what prolly was a draining weight cut, it could go to decision.  Over 2.5 rounds wouldn't be a bad look imo.

Ok let's get ready for upcoming UFC fight night with Dana White preview video:
https://twitter.com/danawhite/status/1334979079230001152

Main event is looking nice with Sweden vs Italy, and Vettori with nice 3 win streak record is a slight favorite in this fight if we look at bookies odds.

Dana recommends watching Jimmy Flick vs Cody Durden and he predicts madness and first win for one of this two fighters.

Nate Landwehr vs Movsar Evloev is one more fight and classic US vs Russia, with Evloev record 13-0 and no loses so far it should be a good clash of styles, but odds on Evloev are silly low.

I am not much interested in many fights in upcoming UFC fight night but I will try to watch Ovince Saint Preux   vs. Jamahal Hill.
Saint Preux is 37 years old veteran fighting against undefeated Jamahal Hill, that had one overturned fight because of marijuana smoking Smiley
I will wait for Dana White introduction video before making any bets.

Talking about drugs, USADA suspended Yair Rodriguez six months for missing drug tests!

Has the Khabib press conference happened yet? It seems that it was planned for today but can't see any confirmation of that and there's nothing on his Instagram. Hoping there's more than just the announcement of his MMA company he's apparently just bought.

So Khabib's conference happened later in the day, but disappointingly it seemed mostly about prmotiong his MMA company he's bought and trying to get MMA into the Olympics for 2028. He did say "anything can happen" in response to a question about Connor McGregor but I'm not sure whether he was sending out a dig towards the UFC referring to them being able to stoke up tension and controversy or them being able to make any fight happen. I'm not sure he would want to sour terms with Dana and the UFC though especially if he's looking to go into business with them and the UFC Pass to stream his promotions cards. That would be vital in getting his brand out there and will surely lead to rapid growth.

Quote
Fans of the sport will be aware that there’s no love lost between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. Following their ugly run in before UFC 223 in Brooklyn and after their fight at UFC 229, things aren’t the same. Khabib certainly wasn’t too concerned about the fall-out from running into the Irishman. Despite the bad blood between the two, Khabib seemed nonchalant about a run-in.

He said, “Why should I worry about that? It depends on the situation. I have no plans to do something if I see a certain someone. I can bump into someone here.”
“Anything can happen”- ‘The Eagle’

Additionally, Nurmagomedov was quick to jump in on the reporter’s theory that the UFC might try an engineer an encounter. ‘The Eagle’ subscribed to the aforementioned theory and claimed that the UFC was indeed capable of such a thing.

He added, “Now that’s a serious question! Maybe. They’re good at making that happen. Anything can happen. It can happen in Moscow, Abu Dhabi, New York. They can make that happen, believe me that’s their specialty"

Any suggestions on what should not be missed in next ufc event, as I’m not familiar with any of the fighters (I’m more like old school aka pride/glory guy).

As usually I’m going to watch all “middleweight and above fights”. But is there any particular fight I shouldnt miss? Thanks.

Def watch Topuria vs Jackson, Jimmy Flick vs Durden, Leavitt is good in the regionals, Evloev is also good and the guy he's fighting is insane.  Go watch Landwehr vs Elkins if you can find it.  And Dolidze vs Allan should be good too.

Edit:  Oh and the main event match up is good.

Edit:  Dec 19 main event between Chimaev vs Leon Edwards was scrapped due to Edwards getting covid.

Or, Khabibs plan is to make his EFC popular (it is even already popular, even without running a single event). Allow more fighters to participate in fights (as in one of his videos on youtube he scolded fighters for not participating in fights/ranking fights/events, but just train and not evolve). With an aim to sell his promotion to UFC (like previously UFC bought Pride, Strikeforce, WEC).

There's nothing I'd recommend on the upcoming December 5th card but UFC Fight night on December 19th has a few good fighters taking part: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFC_Fight_Night:_Thompson_vs._Neal

Welterweight    Stephen Thompson    vs.    Geoff Neal
Heavyweight    Marcin Tybura    vs.    Greg Hardy
Bantamweight    Marlon Moraes    vs.    Rob Font
Light Heavyweight    Misha Cirkunov    vs.    Ryan Spann
Bantamweight    José Aldo    vs.    Marlon Vera
Preliminary card (ESPN+)
Welterweight    Michel Pereira    vs.    Khaos Williams
Flyweight    Alexandre Pantoja    vs.    Manel Kape
Welterweight    Belal Muhammad    vs.    Dhiego Lima
Catchweight (195 lb)    Deron Winn    vs.    Antônio Arroyo
Women's Bantamweight    Sijara Eubanks    vs.    Pannie Kianzad
Bantamweight    Aiemann Zahabi    vs.    Drako Rodriguez
Middleweight    Tafon Nchukwi    vs.    Jamie Pickett
Lightweight    Rick Glenn    vs.    Carlton Minus

And then of course the return of McGregor in January vs Poirier.

Khabib's real meeting with Dana is to create a partnership with the UFC for the promotion of his new fighting league. It appears that he will never fight again in the octagon.

UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has made his first major move to continue his association with MMA after his retirement by buying Russian MMA promotion Gorilla Fighting Championship, according to reports.
The promotion, better known as GFC, operates out of Khabib's native Dagestan, and last staged an event, GFC 29, on October 16, with two more shows set to take place on Dec. 4 and 19 to round out its 2020 schedule.

But now, according to Russian journalist Azamat Bostanov, Khabib has purchased the GFC promotion, which will be renamed Eagle Fighting Championship (EFC). The purchase price? $1 million.

The news may shed some light on the "something interesting" Khabib plans to discuss with UFC president Dana White, with a partnership with the UFC to have the newly-branded EFC shows streamed worldwide on UFC Fight Pass a distinct possibility.

Interesting. Dana should probably try wrangle another fight out of him as part of the deal to broadcast the shows. Seems Khabib is more interested in trying to get MMA accepted by the Olympics right now though:

Quote
Khabib Nurmagomedov has revealed his grand plan to have MMA included in the Olympics from 2028.

The Russian, who retired undefeated after his win against Justin Gaethje back in October, pledged to lobby the powers that be to have his sport as part of the Games in Los Angeles in eight years.

At a press conference in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, the UFC pound-for-pound No 1 said: 'The inclusion of MMA in the Olympics is one of my main tasks for the next couple of years, we are already working in this direction.
