The entire discussion revolves around Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone, there are other good fights in the card, Holly Holm taking on Raquel Pennington which will be a great fight and Anthony Pettis taking on Carlos Diego Ferreira   which is another great fight and we have Cláudia Gadelha fighting Alexa Grasso and the fun fact is that all the fighters will be having a good pay day because of the main event which will be a record breaking event with the way things are going and i am waiting for the press conference which will be fun and how McGregor is going to deal after coming after a loss and i am sure he will be taunting Khabib .

I really think that there are just many in this forum site that are more interested with the McGregor VS Cerrone fight more than any great fight in the UFC 246 but in this UFC event I am as well more interested with Conor and Donald but I am curious on Holly Holms VS Raquel Pennington as well, and in my opinion both fighters had a pretty huge amount of L in their records but in my opinion Holly Holms had a huge shot here and back then after beating the undefeatable Ronda Rousey things have escalated in her career, but men I would love to see Ronda Rousey back again.

UFC 246 Countdown: McGregor vs Cowboy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzEqzhTUT34

Can 'Cowboy' deliver and win against Notorious?
I believe he can, but no bet yet.

I really hope Conor wins & gets his career back on track. I know very little about the opponent though so I won’t be betting on it.

Finally it's here.  I've been curious what Dan Hardy's breakdown would be, esp. for McGregor.  I haven't watched it yet, I posted it as soon as I saw it...  Let's watch it together!  Grin

Made me think of putting a more money for the cowboy already. Hardy seem to have noticed a lot of good advantages of the cowboy besides the experience he had over Mcgregor. My concern though is that cowboy looks slow in the fight while Mcgregor can rapidly throw all with accuracy. One that I'd like to see if cowboy will escape for 2 rounds and if that happens I guess Mcgregor will be out of gas that cowboy can exploit

The entire discussion revolves around Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone
The reason is because Conor McGregor is still a super star and he is able to sell tickets and makes things interesting for the fans  Tongue
Holly Holm is at her end of her career and if she looses this fight then i think she will retire and then comes to Anthony Pettis which is coming back to Lightweight and it is a big question how he is going to perform and the entire card revolves around McGregor and even though Donald Cerrone is coming into this fight after a two fight loosing streak everyone wants to see him return because of the entertainment factor.

I don't expect that McGregor can improve his cardio but if he do then we can expect a great fight from this two and I think Conor will be very aggressive with Cerrone once the fight starts but the switch kicks from Cerrone can be so Vicious and Lethal it might get McGregor on round four or five depending if Conor Mcgregor isn't gasping for air and fading in this fight,

I am hoping that Conor McGregor can show a newly develop self here in his absense because he will be needing it.
I was watching the take downs and fight ending sequences of Donald Cerrone and i really think that it is a really tough fight for Conor McGregor and the reason is because of his fluid take downs and his fighting range of taking the aggressive approach he used to take in the 170 pound division, Conor is well prepared this time including his muscle mass and he will be really motivated to become one of the best fighters and keep on pushing that boundary.

I really don't expect much on how good McGregor can be in this fight but at least I am expecting to see that he can survive and make the fight a decision match, because he has now gained mass in his body and by looking at him I think he can surely survive the switch kick of Cowboy, but expecting something more with Conor McGregor can end up in a misery, I may be wrong he but this is what I think and after analysis both fighters stats and fights in the past, Cerrone is a threat to Conor McGregor and I really don't expect much even if he can win in this fight against Cerrone I don't think that he can be closer in taking on Masvidal for a title match.

^  That's like what...  Two matches out of how many?  And were they even outright 'predictions' or some sort of what they 'think might' happen.  I think it's more of the latter.
I do it sometimes too.  Make forecasts...  They're fun.  Wink
Predicting MMA fights is the hardest thing to do, you cannot have any sort of calculation other than the past few performance and i am not complaining that Dan Hardy predicted fights wrong but the manner in which he went  during that period mainly because of the bias he had when predicting simply because Till is from England and Conor was from Ireland and Dan Hardy is English himself and he was too much vocal about those predictions and so is the reason he got trolled a lot after that and his twitter feed was filled with memes Cheesy.

^  He doesn't make any predictions tho?  He just breaks down each fighter based on past performance and tries to visualize the match.  That's pretty much it.  And he's good at it.
I was not saying that he was making a prediction in this video, just take a look at his past fight predictions and most of his predictions are wrong, if you remember correctly he was really high on Darren Till defeating Tyron Woodley and he even predicted that the fight will not go the distance, even in the Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov fight  Dan Hardy predicted Conor McGregor knocking out Khabib but we all know what happened and there was even a tweet from Dan Hardy that McGregor will vacate the belt after winning against Khabib and take on Nate Diaz for a trilogy   Cheesy and there are many instances where his predictions were clearly wrong and there are funny memes out there about his flopped prediction Cheesy.

Conor is well prepared this time including his muscle mass and he will be really motivated to become one of the best fighters and keep on pushing that boundary.
Conor McGregor is a really great fighter at Featherweight division and he dominated because he has a much longer reach than the rest of the fighters in the division and if he is planning to move higher in weight then he wont be having that kind of advantage and now he is fighting at Welterweight and he might be looking for another championship even though he is taking Cerrone who is basically a Lightweight fighter to have an advantage on how he wants to have a leverage on his career. It is hard to keep up with the good years he had in Featherweight as there are many high level wrestlers who are much stronger than Conor in higher weight divisions.

His break downs are great but most of the time his predictions are wrong but he really have an in depth vision on how you view a fight and in this break down he is explaining how he will cut the angle to land his powerful left and i was watching Cerrone fights and his take downs and after watching that he can really take down anyone and the fight depends on the game plan of Cerrone, whether he will try to wrestle and avoid striking with Conor in the first two rounds.

Lets discuss what he is going to promote this time.

Last time he fought, he promoted proper 12 and everyone knows this brand well. According to his instagram, he always wear August McGregor clothes and Reebok Smiley

Will he do something extra ordinary in/with August McGregor?

Here's a tape of Cerrone showing what he can do with that right leg.  Very dangerous once McGregor starts gassing out...

Really looking forward to seeing Conor return to The Octagon after a long absence. I have no idea what to expect from him as he’s been away for so long.

I have nothing against Conor, he is talented but after his lost to Diaz and Khabib, he was exposed and fighters can clearly see a blueprint of how to beat him, but still Dana is selling Conor and his fights unlike other better fighters with potential.
The reason i was skeptical about Conor McGregor when he first came to the UFC was that he will face legit wrestlers and his rise will get cut short but he was able to overcome a short replacement Chad Mendes which was his only legit wrestler till he faced Khabib and the blue print was always there as his prior losses before coming to the UFC were on the ground and all of his losses were submission losses.
So the blue print is always there and it all depends upon how the opponent is planning to take advantage of it.
