I think that training camp he did pay off, and in seeing this new Conor McGregor I think we may see him conquer towards this year.
It was refreshing to see the way he approached this fight than he usually does and the way in which he won the fight was great but if he wants to fight the champions in 155 and 170 pound division then it is a difficult task altogether because of the power the higher division athletes possess will be bigger than a fighter who fought at 145 pounds as all those fighters are cutting down a lot of weight to reach that division while Conor is walking at that weight pound and it will be a huge difference when they fight. With the win over Cerrone he does have the leverage to fight anyone opponent in any weight division and it is interesting to hear who he is planning to fight next.

I have watched the fight late than expected and repeatedly watch it promptly because in my amazement I think we all see a different Conor McGregor in the ring a new and improved McGregor has been displayed, Cowboy Cerrone just don't know what to do at first because Conor wants a faster takedown by aggressively attacking Cowboy, and in Cerrone's shock McGregor had hit him with shoulder strike on the nose and an elbow and in Cowboys shock, I guess that is why he had made a mistake by going in McGregors left and that is how he meets the powerful left high kick of McGregor, I think that training camp he did pay off, and in seeing this new Conor McGregor I think we may see him conquer towards this year.

Conor McGregor made a good start for the year and hopefully he will fight two more times this year but as expected Cerrone was a slow starter and we all know what Conor McGregor does at a start as always start very well and Cerrone could not handle him and he got knocked out in the end with a barrage of shots and the referee saved him and he did make a lot of money with the fight and i am expecting Cerrone to take a break after this and recover his body rather than fighting all the time. I am looking forward for a win by Conor McGregor as he looked really well physically and composed mentally and he might get the job done in this fight.
The odds are not that great to wage a bet on Conor McGregor, the odds for Cowboy looks interesting and i am wagging a small bet on Cerrone to win the fight. I am expecting Conor to attack from the start because Cerrone is always a slow starter but if he can sustain the first two rounds then he can change he fight to his advantage because Cerrone tends to improve at the later part of the fight. I am expecting Conor to get tired because of the muscle he is carrying and giving his back so that Cerrone will choke him out with a rear naked choke. I like more the old Conor, you know, the hostile one...
Everyone like the aggressive Conor McGregor and the level of drama he creates is funny and entertaining but the last fight against Khabib everything was cringe worthy, talking about politics and religion and family and it was too much to handle as it was a shit show and i do not want to see those things said in the name of entertaining and it is a good thing he changed all that shit show this time around but i am sure he will be back with this trash talking skills if there is another aggressive fighter. It will be a great fight anyway, i don't know what to expect from both, Conor has been out for some time and Cerrone can give us a nice surprise.

It is a good view point, if he talk big and if he looses he will be humiliated like he was in his last fight against Khabib, glass jaw and double barrel gun was the main meme against Conor for a long time, this is a fight game and anything can happen, confidence is main but you can loose anytime and he has experienced the losses and humbled and he is surrounded by controversies and if he want to change those image he can change that as majority have a short term memory 3 years gap from his last “success”.

The confidence isn't as high as once was after the Kabib loss. The trash talk is just a marketing for the fights, its been that way otherwise Dana would be making more rants than Mcgregor. Its the way to sell the fight. $5M for Conor and $2M for Cerrone, this is a lot. Other fighters will only earn $250K a year.
