Is Covington getting a little bit too much on his threat against Dana? This is gonna be an intense event for sure. Honestly, I really want Usman to beat his ass but f*ck it. I'm now curious whether he will really slap Dana's face or not Grin lol.
The fight game is the only place where you can threaten your boss and be safe thinking that it is just promoting the fight  Cheesy. The character Colby Covington is playing is too irritating and cringe worthy and everyone hates him and he likes the negative publicity and that is helping him to earn more money if not he will not continue with this stupid character. Usman and Colby Covington will be a great fight as both are good wrestlers and Covington has stamina for ages.

^  Lolol.  The UFC should make a custom belt for them just like how they made a custom belt for Masvidal and Diaz.  Grin
Now the time is here to make the belt as Chris Weidman is also knocked out cold in the first round while Luke Rockhold was somehow able to survive the first round as he was knocked out in the second round Grin, lets name it the Ex Middleweight CC belt where CC stands for champions who are not able to cut weight and there is no division they can go to  Cheesy.

I only watched the final bout, Chris Weidman started strong trying to take Dominick Reyes down and on another attempt he just cracked a perfectly timed left hook in the chin and instantly the legs of Weidman gave out and two more hammer fist to finish it up and Dominick Reyes called out Jon Jones, looks like there are some worthy contenders now in the light heavyweight to challenge Jones.

Weidman is a good striker back in his prime. Reyes, on the other hand, is hard to take down and he has been knocking people out as well. Taking him on the ground may be a better strategy for Weidman but I think both fighters  will try to knock each other out.
Weidman is an accomplished wrestler and a black belt in BJJ and Dominick Reyes does not have the wrestling credibility like Weidman and he is a blue belt in BJJ but he is a good striker and we are in for a treat to see how Weidman is going to perform in this division and if he is able to win a couple of fights he could even fight for the belt against Jones but to reach him he had to go through tough fighters. I want to see a rematch between Weidman and Rockhold in light heavy weight as both fighters are on a loosing streak and moved up in weight and if Weidman looses this fight then it would be a perfect rematch  Cheesy.

Before the Anderson Silva fight he only had one knockout victory in the UFC and we all know how the fight went with Anderson, the first one he was knocked out because Anderson was clowning around and the second one he broke his leg in the rematch and after that deflated Vitor Belfort and then his losses started accumulating and that bags the question when was his prime  Grin.

MAIN CARD

Light Heavyweight:          Dominick Reyes VS Chris Weidman
Featherweight:                Yair Rodriguez VS Jeremy Stephens

I like this two fights!
Dominick Reyes is a great fighter I am supporting him to win here.
Not sure about Yair fight... and need to do more research and think about it

I pick Stephens cos...  He mad.  Lol.  I think he's gonna show Rodriguez's head direct to the canvas.  Seriously tho, Stephens has the grit and it feels like he's gonna be too much for Rodriguez.

Edit:  Just watched the weigh ins.  Weidman looks like he lost some muscle mass moving up to LHW.

my guess is that Weidam will use his wrestling skills to control the fight and if he is able to do that he will win, other than that it is impossible .

I never watched Jeremy Stephens before, so I have no clue about him, and how good he is.
If you look at his record he got many split decision losses and wins and has many fight of the night performances that means a lot about his fighting style. He is just 33 years old but he is a veteran in the sport as he had 45 fights till now and won 19 fights by knockout, both of the fighters are strikers and i am expecting another performance of the night kind of performance.

I really sure think as well that Dominick Reyes is a better fighter than Weidman I think Reyes is a good athlete than him.

And with Yair Rodriguez and Jeremy Stephens I kinda still thinking and undecided if who's going to win Yair is a Taekwondo black belt and wants plenty of distance to his opponent I guess this is his key victory and pretty sure very weak against submission moves but I really like Taekwondo and want to watch a kicking madness and how he will cover up for that weakness,

While Jeremy Stephens has absurdly fought a level of competition back then he is still a bruiser and has a high punching power that could instant KO his opponent in instant, despite having with his kicks I guess that doesn't compete more with Rodriguez having a black belt on that department, So I guess he must stick to what he does best so it is a complicated decision but I have bet on Stephens on this one.

If you watch the fights of Yair Rodríguez and his losses he lost both times to strikers once against Frankie Edgar and the another was well back in his career and his fight against Chan Sung Jung he was loosing the fight till the last second of the fight and that crazy elbow earned him the victory, Jeremy Stephens hits really hard and he lost against top level fighters but his fight against Doo Ho Choi impressed me a lot and i am going with Jeremy to win the fight.

Thank you posting this info.

Yes, it's the highlight of his career because it was Anderson Silva whom he defeated. It wasn't exactly downhill after that since he defended the title a few times. It was his defeat to Luke Rockhold that started his downfall. It was probably hard for him to recover from his first loss in MMA.
Chris Weidman was a good fighter and when he came to face Anderson for the first time everyone thought  Weidam will be another victim for Anderson but he was show boating a loan and got knocked out cold and on the rematch Silva was injured, then Weidman faced an aging Lyoto Machida and Vitor Belfort and then he faced Luke Rockhold and then went on a 3 fight loosing stream and my guess is that Weidam will use his wrestling skills to control the fight and if he is able to do that he will win, other than that it is impossible .

I haven't watched any of Dominick's fight but I'll probably go with him, Weidman sucks nowadays.
Rodriguez and Stephens rematch deserves more attention, it could be the fight of the night. I didn't expect it this soon but I'm glad it's about to happen.
Dominick Reyes is an upcoming talent and the way in which he won against OSP and Volkan Oezdemir was impressive and Weidman is coming up in weight and it will be a challenge for him and even before fighting he is challenging Jon Jones, the same happened with Luke Rockhold who was challenging Jon Jones even before fighting and was out cold in the second round, i am not expecting a different result here.

Here's a funny one.  It's the highlight of Weidman's career (it's been downhill after) and the beginning of Anderson Silva's downfall (cos hubris and he never recovered).  Watch for the lulz if you haven't yet.  Cheesy

It feels like Yair Rodriguez is gonna get it from Stephens.  Lolol.  Stephens ITD could be around 3.00ish...?  If only there was a BTC sports betting site that has prop bets.  Those are fun.

I didn't know there was already a negotiation way back 2013 between Askren and the UFC management before he joined One FC.
There is a big history between Ben Askren and Dana White and why Askren was delayed to get into the UFC and retired from MMA thinking his dream is done because of his fight with Dana and he controls everything. The loud mouth of Ben Askren is nothing new and there was a time when Dana White said it was impossible to implement Olympic type drug testing for UFC and Ben Askren called out Dana White and said he is a liar and that started their bad blood and during that time he was the Bellator champion and he was trying to get into UFC and he was asked to provide the release documents from Bellator to consider and Ben Askren forced Bellator to give his release while he was the champion thinking about joining UFC and after getting the release from Bellator UFC said they are not interested in Ben and hence he move to Asia to fight in One FC and after that too Ben was critical about Dana White and they had many fights in social media in the past.

Talking about One FC not being the UFC, I was pretty sure I read some article that someone from the UFC commending One FC but during my search, I stmble upon this old article https://www.mmafighting.com/2013/12/9/5193678/ben-askren-announces-signing-with-one-fc-blames-immature-dana-white I didn't know there was already a negotiation way back 2013 between Askren and the UFC management before he joined One FC.

I guess even though Dominick Reyes didn't face many strong wrestlers Reyes is a good athlete in my opinion and Weidman will have a hard time winning the wrestling department and the striking department in my opinion, and Weidman really sucks nowadays and I really think that Reyes is a wrong opponent for Weidman being less durable and this weakness might expose him.

Wow! Askren is pretty pissed with Dana White right now but I guess Ben Askren will have a fight Oct, 26 Saturday that will be on the Fight Night 162 with Demian Maia as his opponent.
