@Saint-loup ~ Aw, you're right on your prediction mate! De Randamie won by TKO against Ladd. However, I just felt that it was a very early stoppage, I mean yeah De Randamie landed a very strong puch which knocked down Ladd but I do believe that she can hang on. IMO that was a bad stoppage coming from Dean, I was a little upset for that.

The other exciting match of the night was Faber v.s. Simon. The Hall of Famer proved us once again that he really deserve tto become one. Simon got KO in just 46 sec. Wow Shocked. He only show that he is not only a deadly submissioner but also a ferocious striker.

Congrats on the winning bettors out there Smiley.

Everybody made weight.  So yeah...  All good.  Pretty uneventful, tho Ladd had the shakes during the official weigh ins (the vid below is the ceremonial weigh ins made for the fans and everybody else).

Im back, and I have two picks that I like for this card.

I like Ryan Hall a lot here, look Darren Elkins is tough as nails, he has "THE DAMAGE" tattoed on his chest ROFL.
Still he has not fought someone like Hall, in fact most people have not because Hall has such a strange style. I dont think
Hall will be able to knock out Elkins and that is good! Hall is going to submit this guy or we will have 3 boring rounds of Hall doing big
front kicks and throwing himself into the 50-50 guard and fustrating Elkins. Now the odds have moved and you can get some good value
Hall 2.11

I hope everyone saw the weigh in , my god did Aspn Ladd look like shit. She just looked unhealthy as all hell to be honest. Looked ok the next day
but to fight someone like Germainde De Randamie in her first main event, Germainde De Randamie is so much more experinced, been in the main event,
title shots and had zero trouble with weight cut. Great value De Randamie  2.29

I also like Pena to beat Montano at 1.51 and if you feel lucky the lotto underdog is Faber making his comeback at 3.85, if he was active I doubt the odds would be like that, lets see if he has what it takes.

Well she's cute but not muscular enough, de Randamie will destroy her imo.
Being more muscular would definitely dictate your chance of winning if you are in a body building contest but since they are competing in MMA then there's so many thing we should consider like the fighting style, combat skills and your fighting IQ as well. Have you watched Mir v.s. Lesnar and Miocic v.s. Cormier? The result of those matches proved us that size doesn't always matter Smiley.

As we look on their records, they got both 8 wins but Ladd never taste a loss in her career compared to de Randamie who got 3 losses already. Hmm, still a close match up, let's see who will win.
You're right but I don't think it's enough, de Randamie is a kickboxing undefeated champion, so it will be a hard fight.

^  6 kids seriously?  Lawl.  She's actually hotter.  Cheesy

I didn't go thru with betting on Faber but De Randamie is a go at 2.37 at FJ (Nitrogen could be a tad higher).  I just can't see Ladd taking her down and do her thing (a more experienced Pennington had a hard time).

Oh my! Urijah? Are you serious!? The 40-year old Hall-of-Famer is going to get back inside the octagon? Does he have anything else to prove? I bet it's dead boring when a fighter ceases to be a fighter anymore.

I was also surprise to see his name out there, lol. I guess any sport personalities has that final itch to scratch. So Urijah wanted to test the waters again and see how it goes. Probably he is really bored so let's see if he can still pull the trigger. He is way past his prime for me, but I do hope that he won't take more damage before finally setting his eyes on retirement.
Of course, at the age of 40, it is already very late to prove something to himself and the world, if in 14 years of his career he was not able to achieve any results in order to leave the sport for a well-deserved rest at the peak of fame.

It felt like its Thiago Santos won the fight, its just me of course and the only round I see Jones won was the 3rd one. No questions for Masvidal and Nunes fights they clearly made it. Well, all the bets I've made. I was hoping Holm would win for her boxing skills. Maybe I'm just really hoping for bigger wins thru these underdogs.

Is it just me or does it feel like the underdogs of the main and co main are live dogs at first glance?  De Randamie has been up there vs the best like Holly Holm (who she beat) and Nunes (she lost tho, but still).  Same goes for Faber...

I was also wondering why Faber wanted to comeback after a 2 1/2 year lay off, it appears that he is not convinced of today's fighters  Cheesy

@ Saint-loup: The fight was not that close, the first round was close and the last round was close but the rest of the fight Jones was dominating and the judges messed this up giving a split decision, Santos was really struggling to stand properly from the first round but he stood his ground but Jones was always pressing forward.

I respectfully disagree. For me round 1 and 2 were for Santos. Round 5 was the decisive one and could have gone either way.
Jones won because he had more stamina and was always pressuring his opponent but Santos gave the most efficient strikes.
I don't disagree with the final decision but I think it would not have been an outrage had Santos been given the victory.
He was very impressive, Jones was disappointing (wrong game plan probably).

What about that crazy knee from Masvidal ? I mean wtf ! I didn't like his cocky attitude after the knockout but still... wow ! I sure wasn't expecting that, I don't think anyone was.

Nunes also was impressive, she has now beaten every former UFC champ in her division. I don't know much about women mma but it's obvious that she's above the others.

I also really enjoyed the Chiesa fight, definitely my kind of fight. The guy deserves a better rank in his division, it's just a matter of time.

Overall, it was a very good card with very entertaining fights.

Predicting these two chicks on the ring on who's gonna win, Well, Germaine De Randamie has a certain power that loves submission moves and will totally lock you on the ground while I guess that Aspen Ladd was great in her punching technique, If you would look on their stats Randamie had an upper hand with Ladd in her height and reach But I guess if Ladd would hit her even with 1 punch the winner is pretty obvious, But if you would look at the power I think that Ladd can sure win this that is why my bet is with her.

Must be. He had been fighting for years and years he must miss the cage and the crowd roaring for him. If he feels the need to avenge the fighters he trained I guess this is his way to do it and prove to his trained fighters that he still can do it.

The "miss" factor is like a virus in every fighter. Once a fighter, always a fighter I guess. The Iceman, The Natural, and other UFC legends have also re-entered the octagon after their retirement.

Or perhaps the smell of a paycheck is really enticing.
