I got so excited when I saw the Woodley vs Lawler fight on the card but found out it was cancelled. That fight would have been fire with both trading punches until one is out!

I hope he changes his style of fighting, he should start to engage not only in standing up but also in ground and pound.
At this stage in his career as a professional fighter, I don't think he can still change fighting style. But that's just me.

^  That's the event after this weekend's event.  Moicano vs KZ.  Woodley vs Lawler was supposed to be the main event but was canceled cos Woodley broke his hand or something.

Anyway, here's 242's press conference...  (Kinda boring, turned it off after around 15 minutes.  Lol.  But gonna give it another go if I'm in the mood)

UFC 242:  Khabib vs Poirier - Press Conference
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IigEjuUlpIs

I feel Sorry for Woodley for what happened I really think he has a chance to really win it against Lawler but maybe there is a better chance up ahead for him If he would recover on this injury.

And With the UFC 242: Khabib VS Poirier my thought would be for Khabib to really win this match, I have seen how Khabib Conquers every submission he could think of, But he might want to be very careful with Poirier's punching power, But All in all my bet will surely go with Nurmagomedov Khabib in this fight.

Stop spamming. You're trying to make an argument out of nothing. I didn't like the fight, what is it to you ? No one asked for your analysis of it and of MMA in general.  Roll Eyes
Yeah sure the hypocrite stance suites better  Roll Eyes, if you are not interested in engaging in a conversation here why you want to scribble down what your personal feelings are in the first place, just keep that within yourself, if you are engaging your opinion in an open forum and if someone has other opinion regarding the fight they will counter you, if you feel hurt because of that then i am out of that conversation as i am not in a mood to argue with kids.
I'm not interested in engaging in a conversation with... you. Read again, use google translate if necessary, ask your dad or someone with a 3 digit IQ to explain it to you but please stop posting if you don't have the brain to understand half of what you read. Do you even know what "hypocrite" means ? Wtf does that even have to do here ?
You probably took too many hits in your career as a "martial artist" lol.
And I'm 44 btw.  Wink

P.S : I tried to stay polite but this is really ridiculous.

Lets analyze what is a mixed martial arts fight, if you watched any of their prior fights both fighters prefer stand up fights unless the opposition takes the fight to the ground and both are well versed in ground game too and if someone takes them to the ground they will finish the fight in the ground and that is their fight game, every fighter goes to their strength and if they prefer to stand and bang and never wanted to take the fight to the ground you think it is not a good fight plan  Huh. You might have your idea of a perfect fight and so does millions of people who watch the fights and these are people who have opinions but never had a real professional fight, these fighters are world class martial artist and they know what they are doing and the best fighter with fight IQ wins.

Oh god... my point was I wanted to watch an MMA fight, not a kickboxing one. I prefer a fight when the guys don't stand up the whole time.
Clearer now ?

PS: i am not here to correct anyone but being an martial artist i enjoyed every second of the fight, it was technical and lousy at times with his unorthodox approach and Tony has incredible sharp elbows which caused these cuts, i am really waiting for the fight against Tony and Khabib as Tony is an artist who flows according to the opposition and he is incredibly great on the ground and i wonder how that match up would be as we all know Khabib will take anyone to the floor and the important question is what can Tony do on the ground, will he come out victorious with a slick submission or Khabib control him like he did to everyone in his undefeated career.

Did something happen to Nate? This Nick and Conor does not make sense to me. Why not have rubber match between Nate and Conor? That is much more interesting to me.

Not sure you got my point, read again.  Roll Eyes
I didn't really enjoy the fight anyway. Those guys are not kickboxers god damnit ! One miserable attempt at a takedown, only one ! Not my kind of fight.
Same for Cejudo, he is a wrestler, not a boxer. Nothing to say about his win, he deserved it.
I read your post and so is the reason i commented, you were talking about Donald Cerrone and Tony Ferguson here and you said they are not kickboxers, what i pointed out is that Donald Cerrone had a professional kickboxing record of 28 wins in his career and that too undefeated in kickboxing career and Tony Ferguson have a back ground in kickboxing as well as wrestling and BJJ, not sure what point you are referring here  Roll Eyes if you say that you were sarcastic then i would understand your point, but your words do not clarify anything. You are commenting here for a MMA fight and you are arguing that it was not interesting as they did not fight according to their strength as Cerrone Vs Tony was a stand up fight as they are well versed in stand up and what is your point here.

A fight between Diaz and Mcgregor might be a good idea to keep both fighters in the MMA scene since both fighters has been out for quite some time however it is Conor Mcgregor who last stepped inside the octagon October 2018 at UFC 229. Nick Diaz last fought February 2015 against Anderson Silva at UFC 183. Both fight suffered losses on their last fight.

i wonder what hes been doing in 3 years of absence. had he been crying for years after the last fight?  i don't think he's been training himself that long, if not then there might not be a chance for him to win. if Dana is up to it then he's betting for Conor as he is building Conor up again for bigger fight.

Did Cerrone blow his nose on purpose ? Probably... but if that's the case, it's a shame because he still had a chance, he could have gotten a lucky shot and won in the last round. Ferguson was the better fighter though.

Not sure you have any idea what you are talking about, Donald Cerrone is a kickboxer and have a background in Muay Thai and if you have seen any of his fights in the past his kicks are exceptional and he is undefeated in kickboxing with 28 wins, Cerrone made a mistake blowing his nose and he is a fight veteran and he wanted to fight but doctors made the right decision.

Nick Diaz is no match to Mcgregor, the weakness of Diaz will be exploited more now that they see the fight he had with GSP.  Dana can't just match the two, the outcome is foreseeable and so will be a tragic end for Diaz's career. Look how terrible he performed in his last 3 fights.
Nick Diaz has not fought in a very long time but that does not mean that McGregor will have an easy fight if that materialize as the Diaz brothers have insane cardio and that is the one thing that McGregor lacks and it will be a huge money fight and UFC will hype the fight as the return of Nick Diaz and they have a fairly huge fan base.

Dana's new story is not gonna work. He already did the biggest story with Mayweather vs Mcgregor and that's it. Now that Mcgregor losses the fight with Kabib, he has to give a chance to Jose Aldo as their last fight ended too quick. I wanna at least see one full round or two.
