Do you guys think McGregor will return to the Octagon? I just don’t think he is hungry any more, he’s made so much money to keep his family secure. I just don’t know if he’ll ever be the bright eyed fighter we saw previously.
I don’t think he trains as hard & is as dedicated to the sport as he once was.
Maybe he will, but on who will it be and when will it happen, it depends on the negotiations. Nate Diaz is not interested in a 3rd match according to some news published last June. Nick Diaz called our Conor last month as well but I don't think its enough for Conor to came out and fight Nick Diaz. Nick has been our of circulation for quite some time.

I cannot believe Anderson Silva is still fighting. It was just a few months ago when he last fought. He looked pretty good in his last fight so he might win with all that experience.

Anderson is a true warrior, just like you I cant believe it... He is 44 years old and he is competing against younger guys in a very demanding sport. In this occasion Anderson is more than 10 years old than his opponent... but we'll see how the fight goes.

With all the defeats and the controversy over the use of steroids, his name continues to have weight in the sport.
Yeah! It's true. Silva is the true warrior. His age is not an obstacle to have a classic match. He have still competing even he has younger opponent. I am also a fan of anderson and I always want to see him on a ring. My friends always bet on him if he has match. However, I do not want to bet in ufc. I just watching matches.

It's not even one of those well-timed and executed punches and JDS just went down. The guy totally lost his chin ad should consider retiring.
It might not be a well timed punch but that punch got connected to his chin and Francis Ngannou hits like a speeding truck and he could knock out anyone if he connects, JDS took punches from Derrick Lewis in his last fight and he went on to win the fight, so it is not his chin but the power of Ngannou.

Jon Jones vs Thiago Santos this weekend at 239.  Curious match up.  Santos is sooo aggro (and he's a hard hitter) and it could be what somebody needs to beat Jones.
Thiago Santos has the power to finish anyone in the division, but the question is whether he can outsmart Jones and land that heavy punch or his left kick.

Jon Jones is not only a smart fighter, but also a dirty fighter. My presictions is: Jones gonna use few dirty tricks, receives a card and -1 point. But will win anyway. With dirty tricks he will destroy Santos fight plan and make him make mistakes because of anger.
I expect Thiago Santos to gas himself out and Jones will finish him by ground and pound  Cheesy.

Possibly. Jon Jones has a good chin though and he is also a smart fighter. He immediately takes down his explosive opponents. Thiago is from brazil and he might have some ground defense.
Yes, Jon Jones' chin can hold up to Daniel Comier's heavy punches also. He is also strong on the clinch. I'm not taking away from Thiago but this match will be another great tactical fight for Jones. A win by ground and pound.

Ngannou is all power !
Still not a big fan of the guy but I gotta say he's impressive on his feet.
Dos Santos clearly didn't chose the right game plan but did he really have much choice there ? It's not like Ngannou gave him much time to adapt.

^^ I also think that JDS could have somewhat give us a good showing his he has so much experience under his belt. He tried to engage and give Francis the fight he wanted and it didn't end will with JDS.

Francis is an intimidating figure to begin with, but if you don't used your brain in fighting him, then you don't have a chance. I was disappointed with JDS, but a win is a win so congrats to Francis and his team.

And Francis Ngannou defeated Junior dos Santos via TKO. So much power from both hands that when he touches JDS, his legs wobbled and he has no defense whatsoever and the ref just stop the fight, good call. We don't want to see JDS hurt.

That really was a highlight real knockout and thanks for posting that link.  I was unable to watch the event tonight so now seeing this on my phone really made me feel good about my bet on the African.
Let him fight the winner of DC and SM for a almost for sure KO from either of them

Francis is Big and fast also have the reach advantage so all in one to be a big contender in this division.  Dos Santos turned his back to him, that is a mistake on his part. he sees darkness after that. i didn't bet for this match though but i could have lose my bet since i was also expect Santos to be a careful fighter and will wait til ngannou will be out of gas.
I think Dos Santos did have a wrong fight plan here. He shouldn't engage Francis in early rounds, just like what Stipe did. He try to be the aggressive and unfortunately, he was caught by the big guy. Yes, he should try to dance around first so that in the later rounds Francis is out of gas and Cigano has a higher chance of winner.

I have probably lost this one and a total win for Francis Ngannou, I have been miscalculated this fight and seeing that Ngannou as the best fighter and have the strength in winning against JDS I was thrilled to see the fight that just lasted 1 round, At first in seeing Ngannou with intimidation I guess I know how Jr, Dos Santos is feeling right now it is over before he knows it,

I might say I have really miscalculated and relied on their stat's on how much experience they have acquired and not seeing the bigger picture on intuition, I might say I really like JDS to win this, That is why I have been blinded on the possibility of Ngannou to really win this.

I totally agree with you. He has been in many wars already and his chin has been tested so many times that the moment Ngannou someone touches it, specially how big a punches Ngannou is, it will definitely gave out just like what we have witnessed today. I guess, it's about time for him to retire for good and not pushing his body specially in the division where he is right now, there are a lot of monsters and big punchers.

Nothing happens in the weighin though, I was expecting trash talks that Dana will have to call his big guys to stop.

JDS has to take the fight to the ground if he wants to win. He'll end up like Overeem in that video if he chooses a stand up. I might go for Ngannou here.

I haven't seen Junior Dos Santos take his opponent to the ground unless he added that to his arsenal. He usually fights standing up and refuses to go to ground when an opponent is down and waiting for him to jump in. He will just stay standing up with his fist clenched. If you look at his bio at UFC, out of 26 matches he only have 5 take downs landed and 9 attempts.

Yup. JDS prefers a stand up fight but I really do not see him winning this one with that strategy. he might have more experience but that also means he is losing his chin. He has a better chance of winning by pounding Ngannou on the ground.

True. Ngannou doesn't like ground fight as well, so its in the ground fight that JDS has the chance otherwise he lose in the standing. The power of Francis is just too much to contain that hitting a cover will blow it. Ngannou can knockout a bull in one punch. Record shows his one of the biggest in his division.
