I cannot believe Anderson Silva is still fighting. It was just a few months ago when he last fought. He looked pretty good in his last fight so he might win with all that experience.

Anderson Silva is a professonal mixed martial artist he know a lot of style or martial art like
Muay Thai, Wing Chun, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Taekwondo, Capoeira, so I guest im agree with you that he can win to next fight.

@nydiacaskey01. Tony also has been diagnosed with a mental illness. We might not see a 100% Tony in this fight, I reckon.

Has anyone noticed that his last 4 fights versus Anthony Pettis, Kevin Lee, Rafael dos Anjos and Lando Vanatta were also not outstanding?

that's something to bet on! lol
notice that mental patient are usually strapped with long jacket that;s because they are much stronger, i guess that's one reason to also consider him. funny how a mental illness can be ignored all for the entertainment in the cage. if its caused by drugs, i'm not surprise.

UFC 238 this weekend folks...   Tony Ferguson's back.  Stoked!  I'm pretty sure Ferguson vs Cerrone is a bigger draw than the main event or the Shev vs Eye bout.  Lol.

Enjoy the vids.  Wink

Donald Cerrone is on a winning streak and he last suffered a loss almost a year ago at UFC Fight Night 132 with Leon Edwards via decision. Cerrone's last 3 fights are remarkable with 1 winning via TKO and another one via submission. I'm not going to be surprised if he will win again this coming Sunday.

Agreed! I can't believe they are not the main event, I bet fight fans would buy tickets just because of the Ferguson-Cerrone fight. I would have preferred they fight for a title. They both deserve a title match.
I do believe they are not the MAIN EVENT because those other 2 are 5 round title fights
Henry Cejudo   vs.   Marlon Moraes
Valentina Shevchenko (c)   vs.   Jessica Eye

But I agree that yes Ferguson and Cowboy steal the show

hoping for the cowboy to win again. won few ether with him last month but he must be the underdog in  this fight. bigger wins i guess.  cerrone will struggle to win because the advantage points to ferguson. cerrone isn't into grappling and ground fight he always wants the boxing with the feet on the ground but he has to change strategy this time since ferguson has the reach advantage who can box and at the same time can submit.

Gus vs Smith this weekend guys.  It's not really much of an event but it'll do, I guess...  Til the bigger ones come.  Smiley

I was too late to bet for the UFC 153 last weekend because of certain things that have suddenly popup, But anyway I have seen the highlights and I could see the focus on Anthony Smith's Face and his accuracy with his strike was there, Even though Alexander Gustafsson had made the first submission against him he already recover from it and at the next round when Gustafsson tried another submission move on Smith he retaliated and counter the submission with another submission and that is how I think why Anthony Smith is so focused in this fight.

^  Yup.  Some men accept it earlier than others.  Gus prolly has zero motivation to train right now too.  But who knows...  He'll prolly be back and be like BJ Penn.  Lol.  Grin

Yes, I don't know what will motivates him to make a comeback since he admitted that he can't rise to the occasion as he always fell short specially when facing champions. Unless Dana or other organizations offer him good paycheck for a comeback fight. He was close though to being a champ specially the beating he gave Jon Bones during their first fight. It was really close that some says he really won that fight.

Gus is already done. After suffering a devastating lost to  Anthony Smith at UFC Stockholm.

https://www.mmafighting.com/2019/6/1/18648828/alexander-gustafsson-confirms-retirement-ufc-stockholm

Quote
“I feel like I don’t do this for money or because of anything else,” Gustafsson said. “I do this because I want to be the best and beat the best and if I can’t do that then it is what it is. I lost to Jon and that was the third title fight and I felt like because I got a little bit of an injury in that fight and I didn’t get to show my capacity. So I had some hope in me still and I felt this Anthony Smith fight would be a great comeback and start climbing again. But now I lose to Anthony too. It feels like I don’t have it in me anymore. It’s like a confirmation to myself because I lost my three title fights.”

At least he admitted that he doesn't have it. Instead of fighting like BJ Penn or Anderson Silva who doesn't want to admit that they are no longer the same fighter and can't pull the trigger anymore.

Rakic def. Jimi Manuwa, he KO Manuwa cold, brutal brutal left kick to the head.

Didn't saw the fight. Not surprising judging by the experience of Andrade.
edited: Watched Namajunas vs Andrade on youtube, it really looked very mismatche
On the feet Andrade was finding it hard to land anything substantial and the mismatch was on the strength factor and Rose was dominating her on the feet and the face of Andrade was the proof of that but the slam ended everything, i really would like to see a rematch between the two and i am sure Rose will have a game plan to avoid getting close this time around and will dismatle her through her superior striking.

Next fight would be Alexander Gustafsson vs Anthony Smith. Gustaf has the less experience but has better records of Smith. I once saw his fight with Jon Jones where he almost won. I'm sure Jones is a lot technical than Smith. I think he can handle this Smith unless its going to be in the ground fight.
The first Jon Jones fight was a close encounter and we all know Jones was a party animal and never took it that seriously and we saw that in the second fight where he finished easily, the fight between Gustafsson and Smith is an important one as the winner will get closer to another title shot and a loss will pull them back by a long distant to reach that title shot again.

Here are UFC FN 152's results.  No idea why the sports betting sites opened the lines with Kevin Lee as the favorite.  It was such an obvious bet for RDA at first glance.

Dos Anjos has beaten many good fighters in the past and he was my favorite too. I wasn't surprised he beat a younger and more touted fighter.

Oliveira impressed me as well with an easy win. He's an all around fighter with great jiu jitsu technique.

I enjoyed Krantz' fight too. Even though he lost against a calmer, more experienced fighter, he showed good spirit and I understand why Dana White picked him to come in the UFC.

Not much hype on this weekend's event but whatever.  If you guys got in on RDA at 2.10 or more, good bet.  At least you got in vig free.  Grin

The line is 1.91ish for RDA now.

Both men have their ups and downs and both are still cooping up from the losses that they have right now, For Lee that recently loss to Al Iaquinta and apparently Dos Anjos that are cooping up from his two consecutive losses to Covington and Usman, Well I can say that this fight will be unpredictable for me even if Dos Anjos Does have the most number of experience in the Octagon I can not say that he can go home the winner because Kevin Lee has the body build and strength in giving Dos Anjos a hard time, especially when Lee had the  upper hand in reach and most younger than Dos Anjos, That is why I am having a hard time picking my bet, But I guess out of intuition maybe Kevin Lee can triumph against Dos Anjos.

Namajunas looks like a very cute flower, doesn't really look like a fighter on the outside. Hope she wins though.
Looks like you were in a comma for a while, the fight is over last week and the cute flower lost the belt because she got slammed on her head while attempting a submission, until that moment she was in full flow and winning the fight easily, i really expect a rematch and then hopefully you can have your prediction at the time  Tongue.

Also pretty surprised at the Aldo's defeat.
Yes that was a real bummer and he was outpointed by the technical striking of Alexander Volkanovski and i was watching Volkanovski fight for the first time and he was really good and his range of attacks were good and it was a rare off day for Aldo.

Anyone has an update on Silva's knee injury ? Career ending or not ?
I do not think so he will retire even with his injuries.
