as we know that in 2017 many ICO were successful (at least reached softcap) and of course the market cap was also very high at the time, so it proves that many people are interested to investing in cryptocurrency, but now where do these investors go? because now the market cap is down and many ICO or IEO are failing (not reaching softcap), are investors no longer interested to investing in cryptocurrency? if yes, where are they investing now? or is there a more profitable investment than investing in cryptocurrency for now?

There still a long way to go for bitcoin though. Maybe recent investors began to realize that future of finance are in this crypto currency community. Big names like McAfee, Mark Zuckerberg are into crypto currency that is why it has also a high adoption rate they may be as well influenced those non crypto enthusiast. In addition, bull run is still possible to happen and may be they are waiting for such big shot to come.

Investors now do not believe in his final new project is just a listing on the market and the project is not executed as per their roadmap. Investors usually hold a long project in order to gain a lot of profit but only briefly the project is dead. So, many investors prefer to invest in existing cryptocurrencies for a long time, to avoid the risk of being too severe. Crypto in my opinion, is still a profitable investment since now.

There are still many investors investing in cryptocurrency, Some of them are not investing anymore through ICO and IEO But investors now prefer daily trading in buying cryptocurrency transactions when prices fall and sell when prices go up.Investors do not want to join the ICO because some of the ICO happens scam, So that's a trauma and don't want to risk.

And some investors now also invest in gold, Investors consider gold as a promising investment without inflation.

Judging by the current trends of failed ICOs and IEOs, I bet you that only a few can actually invest in cryptocurrency ICOs. Majority now prefer to buy already existing projects than the so called ICOs. Myself as a case study, I stopped buying these ICOs since 2018 after I lost so much funds to them.

There are only very few left. Who will invest in the ICO market anymore? If one is to do a little opening of the historical statistics of ICOs, they will be shown with a very high percentage of scam ICOs of different kinds. Some are very obvious scams while others are hiding in the cloak of legitimacy but will still end up making a scam exit. The ICO market is replete with these kinds of projects. No one will be scammed anymore.

here we go
There are still many, although not as much as before, because experience of loss, fraud, and others. Try to follow some IEO projects that are not clear, in telegram group. You will find a crazy promotion like; invest $200 and get a bonus $100 worth of tokens. Only novice investors will be trapped. Experienced investors will participate in quality projects, which hold IEO in large exchanges, such as Binance, Kucoin, Okex, Gate.io, and more.

This is not a mystery, why investors decide to risk their money in something? Because they want to earn money, how many of those that took the huge risk of investing in icos obtained profits out of their investments? A minority of course, then why investors should keep risking their money in a type of investment that gives so little chances of earning money? Do they even have any money left to keep risking in icos? When you see things this way it is easy to explain why no one cares about icos anymore.
Simple logic that varies regarding to this venue of investment. Investors who failed to their attempts are no longer interested participating to any types of investment due to the reason of losing their money. Out of frustrations they are no longer interested to suffered the same mistake and find other ways of business, for some who have good skills, chances to focus with trading is more likely to do than trying to find some luck to invest with IEO's or ICO's where the chance is very small.

Due to too many failed ICOs and now IEOs not that great either, investors kinda lost their trust on cryptocurrency especially for new projects.
They don't really want to give their money to a project that might doesnt have a value in the future.

I think they prefer doing some trading than joining a certain ICOs or IEOs. And some of them might've quit entirely.
Since we're not like how 2017 used to be, and how bad the market condition back then, they kinda avoid investing their money.
Most people only invest if the coin is clearly listed because ICOs are often viewed as risky projects so they are always careful when investing. I think we are in a very unpredictable stage so any investment needs careful research. In fact, IEO is more popular because it is the only investment that can help us make a profit quickly and without taking too long to list.
investors are always looking for trends to invest. as is the case at the moment many IEO projects are still heavily invested by investors. because they consider that investing in IEO is more profitable than ICO for now. and I think investors will always look for loopholes to make a profit

It is not because IEO are the trend today, it is also because investors find it more profitable than investing only in ICO.
They always find an investment that will give them a profit, they won't stay in an investment which will not give them a profit and will only give them disadvantage.

I can say that there are still who invest in cryptocurrency but not many compared to year 2017. ICO was very popular that time, but when 2018 enters, the money invested were gone cause of a big loss and some projects were just a scam. The intention was to get money only from investors and left them hanging. Yeah, we could say that some ICOs became successful but look at the prices of their coin/token, it didn't recover, investors didn't make any profits from holding, and waiting to climb up... But now many of them learned from past experience, they are now wise on where to put their money.

Money comes and goes in cryptocurrency. They raise the prices up as they also push them down. That has always been the normal situation inside crypto. But that is not what is apparently happening inside the ICO market. Investment money is decreasing severely. And the investors are not to blame because they have their fill of scams and dead projects. The money is now flowing into existing coins instead of the coins that are offered in the ICO market.

Some investors are now more into long-term or daily trading and no longer decide to invest in ICO, we already know that ICO is currently a lot of fraud and it makes investors more disgusted with the situation, investors will leave if ICO is still cheating. but there are still many people who are interested in cryptocurrency.

In the point of view, there are still many people who prefers to invest in crypto, but the number of people who wants to invest in ICO, and IEO is not the same as before. I am pertaining to the people who are investing in cryptocurrencies that are mainly established already in the market since the trust that people give is comparably higher that those crypto that are just beginning their first step to enter the market. Thus, concluding that scams and fraudulent projects influence greatly to this trust that can be considered hard to get back again to the market.

Some of them are probably quit on investing on ICO actually some people only got hype during that time and we can't blame them for not trying again. But some also earn huge money from other's losses. Those wise people are now accumulating while the price is still down. If there is new investors or players that will roll out money this is Chinese people who got bullish about their President statement about huge opportunity in crypto.

From 2017 until the end of 2018 I often joined ICOs. But nothing was profitable in mid-2018, although their project was good, the price did not match reality.
Personally, I don't want to go to ICO or IEO anymore. I didn't know what my money would be like.
What I do now save the top 5-10 coinmarketcap coins. I do not know when I will sell it for sure, this makes my heart more calm than having to follow the ICO or IEO. This is still the same as investing, but not like looking for a needle in a haystack. It's like we already get the needle and we just have to save it.

Most crypto investors lose their confidence due to their huge loss, some might lost a stagering amount imagining a drop of 90% of your holdings thats crazy probably most of them didn't see the drop coming. But that scenario create a very hard lesson to most of them, I still believe that cryptocurrency will have a brighter future if scams are minimized and the ecosystem is regulated.

There are still many who invest in cryptocurrency?

There are several tens millions wallets that belongs to someone. You can call them investors or simply owners. If value of wallets changes that dont mean that number of owners change. They still own those wallets. Once number of wallets will start decreasing that will be alarming.

Some investors may decide to take a short break and some may trade on the exchange to get some profit. But there are also those who are still investing in IEO which is carried out in large Exchange such as Huobi, Binance, etc. Today many scammers are making fake projects to drain investors' money with the big dikon they give when buying their tokens.
