as we know that in 2017 many ICO were successful (at least reached softcap) and of course the market cap was also very high at the time, so it proves that many people are interested to investing in cryptocurrency, but now where do these investors go? because now the market cap is down and many ICO or IEO are failing (not reaching softcap), are investors no longer interested to investing in cryptocurrency? if yes, where are they investing now? or is there a more profitable investment than investing in cryptocurrency for now?
In my opinion they choose to invest safely in this time because bear market is still maintained this year so risk investment is often not chosen by many investors. I think ICO / IEO is still a lot of people interested but now investors are smarter and they only choose to invest if the project is clearly developed. In fact in 2019 very few ICO / IEO projects are successful and this makes everyone more careful in investing.

Personally, I still believe in the crypto market and will continue to look for good coins to invest because certainly in the near future the crypto market will be a promising destination for everyone to join.

Bitcoin FTW!
A large amount of people just aren't interested in cryptocurrency at all after getting burned buying near the top or just buying high and ending up selling much lower than their entries, though in the last run Bitcoin had up to $13.8K, there was another smaller wave of interest in crypto, and it does seem to me there's some sort of resurgence of interest in crypto investments recently. I've personally noticed a large number of people have switched over to mainly buying higher marketcap coins instead of the popular 2017 method of buying lower cap coins and waiting for them to rise. Hasn't been going extremely well since many alts have been slowly declining in price for the last few weeks, but I expect alts are likely going to start rising again after Bitcoin's continuing to range around and perhaps preparing for another move upwards.

if investors are not so interested in crypto anymore, I think they will find another place/company to invest in. the only thing on my mind that investors choose to invest in property, gold, silver, and other valuable things. but, I don't think investors have completely disappeared. I am sure that they are just waiting for the opportunity to find the right crypto investment. as far as I know, many investors are focused on top crypto, and other investors are waiting for opportunities to invest in potential IEO.

investors do not go away but rather invest in projects that are already strong in the market.
what's the point of investing in the beginning if it doesn't produce anything in a new project, we've seen that every new project in the market is always priced below the ICO price, not to mention the risk of the project becoming a scam.

I think after bitcoin went from 20,000 to 8,000 in a month, a lot of the traditional investors just cut their profits and left the scene. I wouldn't imagine a lot of people who invested during the pump to still be interested in crypto-currencies, after likely losing a lot of money during the dump to stay in the market and learn more.

ICO's/IEO's ruined the market to be honest, it was a huge bubble and it got a lot of new investors that were interested, disinterested since they lost money during that crazy period.

Imo, people are just investing in BTC, i know i am, 1/2ing is coming, could mean nice rise
Too many garbage ICO/IEOs in 2019, even legit projects like VBK did terrible in market even tho they have good teams, seems everyone has lost faith as a result : /

Most of the investors are very picky right now on what project to invest due to market situation while the other investors are in sleep mode yet but once we can hit the middle of the bull run then you can see the throwback of 2017 again.

Few of the investors are putting their investment in IEO's as ICO's are already overtaken by IEO's, investors will not fade as long as they can still gain a profit in crypto currencies. They will only fade if the time will come that crypto currencies are not suitable for any profit.

Investors might be skeptical in gambling their money in new projects since they have witnessed how ICOs crumbled and ran away with other investors' money. That is why some opt to invest in putting their money in established projects that are on the top of the market cap.
