ICO experienced a boom at the end of 2017 - early 2018, which was followed by failure when prices dropped and state and federal regulators cracked down on projects that were in conflict with securities law.

The majority of digital tokens will not have long-term value.
That is truth and I think the major reason why bitcoin and others cryptocurrencies fall in 2018 was because icos market which was the trending then also failed.  Many of the tokens we have today will not be in existence in some years to come because there have no values.  Everything related to icos are now being seeing as scam and few people are investing in the cryptocurrency now.  Bitcoin itself is not doing too well.

Like I have said before a lot of tokens will see their values go to zero. However in a bull market this may not be the faith of some coins or tokens.
Some projects are good but the developers are slow or less experienced which means it may take some time before it launches fully, in a bear market such project will quickly die off, but in a bull market, the price may remain stable for some time before the huge milestones are met.

I think some will definitely disappear from the exchanges and even OTC deals will soon be zeroed but we will hardly see 0 in exchanges because there will always be someone optimistic and hopeful with improvements! But it's true, that many tokens have lost more than 80% of their price after launch! There is a tendency that only those who present real cases can survive.

That can be happen because alot of project does not have live product and the team developer did not continue to run the aim of the project. Some project turn in to scam  and the price been going to zero, like Lending coin Bitconnect and others similar coins. So its better only make invest or trade in coin that has strong fundamental.

I'm surprised that so many tokens and coins can still be seen so far, since I thought that even with such a dive, much more coins and tokens would die.

That is inevitable when the market explodes in 2017, scam projects are growing continuously. Most investors do not have knowledge in ICO, so they invest blindly, so now when the market declines, these scam projects are gradually eliminated and no volume.

Yes, it is one of the bitter truth sides of crypto nowadays! Most of the new ICOs coins are being valueless. Most of them have no trading volume. Crypto's nature is decentralization, but scammers and money hacker are taking this opportunity to scam people's money and no one can trace them!
And you are right, in future, much more token value will be zero, because they are being dead. This is happening for the scammer and bad people in crypto not for the bear market!

I found it so sad that there are many coins that dropping and still not showing any sign of stopping. But perhaps it also can be a good thing to happen, to filter all the good quality coins and the low quality coins. that way what left would be some good quality coins, so investment would be even safer in the future.

More than eighty percent of tokens can go down to near zero value before 2019 comes to its end but always remember there is always some good token struggling hard to make the ecosystem better and developing for the mass adoption. IOST for example, lately performing very well and it seems it will not be the end. People just need to be aware of investing in effortless tokens.

I'm totally agree with the name of topic. There are a lot of scam projects on blockchain which has appeared in 2017 - 2018 year but I hope that today's situation on the market make this projects died
non-competitive tokens may have become today's trash coupled with a market that crashed a few years ago that makes a lot of tokens worthless and difficult to develop if the project developer doesn't develop

Such a large number of altcoins is not necessary for us. Therefore, a large number of them will be dead and will not cost anything. It's natural selection. This situation is quite normal.
we can see what's really happening on the market. many new altcoins but don't have good growth, they survive for the first half of the year and then many of them disappear there is no continuation of their growth.

Perhaps this already happening, there are many coins that loosing their price, starting the middle of 2018 up until today.
Those many coins still not showing any significant recovery from the drop on it's price.

Some ICO's managed to collect big funds in 2017 and until now some projects can't deliver the roadmap. They only sell the idea and with the current market condition only the projects that have a working product and real world solution will survive. Some tokens used to have 100k usd minimum volume per day and now they are down to 5k to 10k usd per day and others have zero volume.

Such situation is quite possible. Those projects that will be leaders in their field, who will create unique products or solve existing problems in a simpler, faster, convenient and cheaper way will survive and be able to conquer the market.

it's a sure thing just try to remember what happened in the dot com bubble a lot of projects will go to zero for sure and not every project can be 100% succesful and achieve mass adoption Smiley

That was to be expected. There are very few good teams that make a really necessary and interesting product. Accordingly, such coins will not be able to survive in such conditions.

Yes, unfortunately most of the tokens have no future. Although there is a sharp contrast. Some tokens have a very good demand. After all, they are fixed by very promising projects. Yet part of the coins have good value in the future

You're probably right. We can already watch some coins die. Many of them won't survive and it's obvious because such a large amount of coins won't be able to exist.
