This is a true fact and it only goes to show that cryptocurrency have not gotten to the stage where people think it is.
Some cryptocurrency projects have little to no background and no long-term vision as well, the projects are just good on paper and offer no real life value so eventually such projects will see their tokens loose its total value in long term and most to never rise again.
Cointelegraph and other reliable media outlets have being resonating this message for a while now.

ICO experienced a boom at the end of 2017 - early 2018, which was followed by failure when prices dropped and state and federal regulators cracked down on projects that were in conflict with securities law.

The majority of digital tokens will not have long-term value.

It's quite obvious thing. Weird projects can't have long and healthy life... There were so many of them and even now it's clear enough that more than 95% of them were scams. So I won't be surprised when SEC will come to get rid of them.

Yeah, I agree with that.
But the bear market also affects larger projects.

If the projects fail to develop and implement their roadmap goals, they will be replaced sooner or later.

It is obvious and most expected as 99% of ICOs we had in 2018 and 2017 were facing difficult times for last 12 to 14 months. When they are not having any concepts for developing their project then they may look for running away with their raised money. Their tokens in exchange might have got dumped heavily and then may get delisted. This is not new to this space but I am not ready to experience these again and again.

yes, maybe in 2018 and 2019 we will see many tokens that will die because some developers choose not to do anything when market is bad but maybe when market lives in the future they will work again and make the tokens back have potential

Certainly I am so sure that this topic is correct, so many tokens will definitely go to zero and will make no impact at all before going to zero, the reason most will happen like that is that they are worth nothing, and the team is not helping it out, whereas some of these projects are scam.

Most of the prices of coins after the release on the stock exchange did not correspond to the prices that were at ICO. Tokens instantly collapsed in price. And it seems to me that with today's market it will be difficult for them to recover.
yes, indeed ICO after their success does not guarantee the price will remain at the ICO price, so after entering the market they will throw away their tokens even though prices are down ...

it's really hard like it used to be

Smart investors knew that from the first day, they brought with huge discount and sold out in first peak, then they moved to another ICO, while other people held their tokens hopping that their value will grow like Bitcoin and that was a mistake.

I agree with this statement.
A lot of coins have no perspective on the market and go to zero.
This determines the high volatility of the market.
But at the same time, there are new coins that are waiting for a bright future.

Only motive of those ICO was collecting money but they had no use. People invested money without enough research and people trusted them blindly. Only a few utility tokens are available in crypto market. Ico trend is already dead and all those useless tokens will be dead, soon.

There is no doubt that the bear market will make many weak projects disappear. However, whether they fall or survive will depend on their potential, the will to fight and experience of developers.

The whole ecosystem around cryptocurrencies kinda needs this happening. When coins that really are pointless and don't have any reasons to exist in the first place go to zero, people will start putting their money in coins and tokens that matter.

It is technically impossible for most of these tokens to zero, but it's true that with each passing day they are losing people's values and interests! Because they are no more than just developed digits on some platform. The correct thing to think is that tokens should represent the value of something and do not reserve and maintain the value, these projects do not have reserve capacity or even payment!

After 2017 when ico crazy was over, those tokens proved themselves to be bubbles

yes, it is true that a part of the new token will lose much value or will no longer be worth anything, we must develop the ability to know how to choose tokens, icos that can have a possible future...

Grin As many investors say, they donate and do not invest. This is a real problem. I just wonder how many people are left to invest in the market in 2019. I think there are almost none. When I see a hardcap project, I think it’s a scam. After all, who is now investing in dead projects and the market?

I didn`t know for that expression, it`s reality sometimes for some people, they really donate!
Actually you can never be sure in anything. Until now I didn`t have such investment that is
now zero, but who knows. Now I`m holding many coins and tokens, and not all of them will be
successful in the future.
It`s on us to risk. I`m taking my chances and I will invest more!

I think that is a natural thing because when the token enters the market, the status of the project is still in the refinement stage, so the price of the token has still not reached its highest point and another reason is because there are many bounty hunters and some investors who sell their tokens when new tokens enter the market, this phase should be exceeded and the token price can recover but I admit that due to poor market conditions it will be more difficult to realize it

Well, if the market stays the way it is, then there is no stopping of alot of tokens hitting the zero mark. Its is very much imminent. And the reason, the projects are running out of finance to carry on with the project so they prefer running away with whatever is left.

This was totally going to happen as the crypto-world experience a boom never seen before in 2017. Of course scammers would be the first to abuse it, but as with every other situation some projects would survive, maybe there will be some regulations after more countries start to accept crypto-assets and ICO will blossom once again.
