So I bought BTC at £9000, made a nice amount. Is it a good idea to now sell this and move that money into alt coins? or should I  sell half BTC and buy back in after alt season is finished?

What do you think?
Do you have any other plan for your crypto or money?
If none and you don't want to keep on monitoring it you should just keep it on BTC.
But if you have a lot of time and could keep track then try to trade to earn more profit.
But if I am on your position I would just keep it and convert some into fiat since it already gain profit.

If you trust bitcoin you can just put it all still into it and hold it for long term. But it all depends on your decision. While it is still good to diversify your coin like selling half part of your btc and buy some potential altcoins, whatever your actions, yhe best thing is to manage them well and not too greedy if you reach your goal profit.

Since you already made some profit from that then you can just use your profit to widen your investment.

It's not about trust though. It's about belief. You have nothing to trust in Bitcoin except its code. And that may have little to do with the market price in the short term.
That's right. Trust and belief can at times do nothing if the market is not aligned with these beliefs. I think to determine holding vs selling you need to look a little beyond what you feel and more on what the market is telling you.

It is good to believe in something but with crypto unless you're holding long-term the belief has to be at the right time or you might miss the change to sell high and buy low.

I believe that the BTC does not take long to collapse, maybe up to $ 13,000 dlls (L 9,330) , so I recommend selling and keeping that money until the bitcoin returns to an uptrend.

I believe that buying altcoins is not convenient, because most of them go up or down with bitcoin.
I don't consider selling at these times if I don't need it yet or if I still have money left I will just stick on holding it. But if I have some business in my mind or have something to use it for it's still fine to sell knowing that I'm still on profit. However, I will still choose to left some in my wallet since there might be more companies who will adopt crypto and bitcoin that can cause it's price increase again, would prefer to hold and just use those in reasonable reason like retirement.

The decision to sell or keep the BTC is of personal preference and varies on different factors. You can always find the middle ground, sell to cover the cost of the initial investment, and leave the rest for some time, and by some time I'm talking about 10+ years, just to see what can happen. It's hard to imagine that the vačue would drop to an amount that would be insignificant and, honestly, I can only see it going up, or, in the worst-case scenario, remaining at this current price with slight corrections, but being more table at the end.

I've started holding since Bitcoin reached the $27k mark and I'm pretty satisfied so far. Sure, I had some temptation to sell it with each new ATH but I don't need this money urgently right now so I would rather keep on holding than selling it. If I were you, I would stay on holding as long as I can.

IMO as long as you are in profit you can sell off your bitcoin if you are tired of hodling, I just hope you don't regret this decision some years after now, just like those people who dumped bitcoin during those early stages when the price was less than even ~$0.30, also dumping bitcoin for an altcoin project is very risky don't forget altcoins follow bitcoin price movements, instead of buying an altcoin with  your profit from bitcoin, why not just hold your bitcoin rather than selling it  Lips sealed.

I personally would keep most of the coins if I do not need these funds at this time.

I would sell 20% and buy altcoins with them. In my opinion, the market expects an even bigger rise this year and accordingly you will be able to earn more money also from the altcoins in which you invest with this 20%.

Bitcoin is any time to changing the price wait and check the marketplace price. Before sell the bitcoin check the market price. Then place to sell. Bitcoin is time to change day by day. So wait and hold the bitcoin long time. If try sell the bitcoin check the price in the marketplace. The time to sell it. So plan to work out. Everyday follow the market price.

You bought it cheap. You made very good money. But you have to make up your own mind about it. If I were, I would not sell it, I would wait. I expect Bitcoin to hit the $ 60-70k level. I'm happy for you.

Don't sell if it's not really for rush, just choose to hold it longer instead of quickly dumping for good. Day trading can be better when you see market has an ongoing pumps, buy when it goes down slightly then sell when it goes up. That's how you do it, but always have the 50% portion of asset remains in your wallet for long term investments.

if you bought btc on that amount meaning you have been hodling your btc for a long time now ask your self are you not tired and are you happy with that ? if that is mine btc i will definetly sell out now to take a breathe but the popular strategy that many are using is that they dont sell all btc they have and then they buy btc in addition to what they left . you can copy that if you want to  , you can move some of that profit in altcoins and you dont need to wait for the bull season to finish because that can take you a long time of waiting .

No one will give you the right advice. Since you, yourself already know the answer, and only want to hear it from someone else. There are many answers, and there are many who advise keeping bitcoin. This is what most say because everyone understands the value of bitcoin. If you trust alternative coins, then this is more difficult. Look at how they rise along with bitcoin and fall in the same way. Everyone has different strategies, if you are confident in your actions, sell and buy alts. Only how do you know when the season begins and ends for sure?  Smiley

It's not about trust though. It's about belief. You have nothing to trust in Bitcoin except its code. And that may have little to do with the market price in the short term. I doubt most users and even less for buyers that they actually understand how precious and valuable Bitcoin's code is.

But if you belief that people will understand this more and more, then you know Bitcoin can only be valued more and more.

Mark place price any time to changen. So time is important for this process. Before investing the market place check the price day by day. Then invest it. Time to check the coin price. So time to buy and sell the coin on time. If price will be low that time hold and buy the coin then wait for the price increase. If price will be increased that time you sell it. So time to acct.

That would be a great way to spread your investments. Nobody can really say on when the Alternate Season begun or even finished but having the idea on investing on different Cryptocurrencies is still a safe way to do but there will be risk that you need to keep in mind like when all of those investments crash down, will you have a back up plan? If you think that you can take that risk and you will be always alert on watching their values as time passes by.

If I were in your case I wouldn't be selling bitcoin at the moment unless I need money urgently.
The cryptocurrency market is becoming more and more popular and bitcoin is harder and harder to earn, I think in the future the price of bitcoin can continue to soar.
Of course this is just my opinion, the decision is entirely up to you.

It depends on many factors, no one will be able to answer this question for you.
I think you should sell it if you want and keep it if you don't need to sell it yet, don't listen to anyone's advice.

Thats good profits and it is easy to feel the urge to sell your BTC now and take your guaranteed profits.

But we are in the middle of a Bull run and BTC is up 12% this week and now is not a good time to sell your BTC I feel most will agree.

I understand that kind of urge as I mentioned in my previous posts earlier, but now it seems like we might see another ATH soon.
Though I won't advise to keep on expecting that, but just like those gut feelings that one usually feels when he has been holding for years already.
