I doubt that in less than 2 years some altcoin will be able to beat bitcoin in terms of capitalization and trading volume. So by 2020 the first will be bitcoin.

I am trying to guess what will be the top 3 coins in 2 more year, say on 1st June, 2020.
Probably, BTC may not be the champion anymore but will still stand at runner-up position thanks to its historical role. ETH providing reliable platform for many valuable tokens can overthrow BTC to become the king. One of the coins with 3rd-generation blockchain like ADA or EOS will deserve the 3rd.

If you think now EOS dont deserved it. but in 2020 maybe EOS deserved 3rd. In my opinion, TOP3 of cryptocurrencies are Bitcoin,Ethereum Neo in 2020
until 2020, it's a few more years, it's too early to say what will happen ... we can't predict for a few days.
Will be interesting to look back in a few years and see how close we all were... I would say: Bitcoin, ETH and a new one that don’t even exist today.
The only coin that I could see in number spot is Bitcoin. Bitcoin will be the king because it is most likely the first cryptocurrency that a person could know. Also, big investors are still relying on the return of Bitcoin because it has proven itself for the past few years now and every year, Bitcoin's price are doubled. The next Spot I think is Ethereum because it has been around longer for most of the altcoins and that different kinds of token is under the umbrella of Ethereum which boost its price. The third spot is Monero.

That's a fair prediction but for me in 2 years time I still believe BTC to be the top ranked cryptocurrency. Sure thing, there's a lot to happen in a span of 2 years but if we are to consider the historical role of BTC as you've said, then we should know that it's really not that easy to overthrow it by other alts even ETH itself. Consider this: everyone here who are investing in eth and other alts, even those who invest in ICOs, most of them (if not all) have various coins/tokens but there will be one thing that they both have in their portfolio and that is BTC. Maybe for the top 2 and 3 rank I can say ETH and BCH well that's just for me.
Bitcoin and Ethereum will be there for sure. Not sure about the 3rd one, for sure another protocol such as Wanchain, Zilliqa, or Aeternity.

In my opinion, these coins will be at the top of 2020:

I believe that one of the most popular coins will remain bitcoin and Ethereum, they are the most stable and well-known coins, They will always invest in them. Over the years, they will become more expensive and the demand for them will be even greater. On the third position after bitcoin and Ethereum, I find it difficult to put any coin. I think by 2020 there will be an even more worthy coin.

In the coming years bitcoin and Ethereum will still be the two major cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin because it is indisputably the leading cryptocurrency and will remain there for the foreseeable future. I believe that the best coins in 2020 will be EOS Cardano and Ripple. They often show themselves well in an unfavorable situation, and during growth they please you. I advise you to invest in them. They will show a stable result, and their reliability will not be in doubt.
There are several promising coins, in my opinion is : Eos , Tron , Dadi . I think they have a good chance.
Why ada and eos. They are more prominent than other currencies.
And Eth and BTC do not need to say it. They will be forever.
I think it's bitcoin and Ethereum and bitcoin cash. But it's possible Ethereum will surpass bitcoin. All the possibilities are there.
