technical analysis does not work yet, too young industry, my personal intuition helps me and nothing more, but I can be wrong
if you talk about big money here, I think don't only follow your heart, but also do research and other efforts. Because, the potential fail in crypto is exists and need enough knowledge to do research especially if you talk long terms.
I analyze certain coins and not the market as a whole, because I hold in the long run only two coins that are relatively stable, but now I can not be sure of anything
Intuition and Technical analysis are great partner, you may find great profit if you combine both. I haven't say that I am very good in trading, what I could say, both capabilities are the requirements and has high significance on this field.

I think both are very important and become part of the trade. if one has technical analysis of course this becomes so easy in every trade although the fact is not as easy as analysis. and there are many traders who have no knowledge of technical analysis and of course its trade is done with self-taught knowledge and rely on experience.
You choose technical analysis because of the increasingly popular and in the future the influence of technical analysis. This means more people will start buying or selling assets according to the technical data being researched so as to drive prices up or down. Learn TA, at least basic TA so you know what support rejection and more. Do you go long-term with projects that have a strong foundation or you rely on TA to trade in the market.

I usually just invest in long term so I don't have to be too anxious looking at charts and biting my nails on price dips. It's more relaxing this way
In the bear seasons, markets don't respond to technical analysis or chart reading. Most times even after applying all techniques, and every signal shows an upward movement the next minute might turn out to be a very high dip again. Trading in bear season is intuition based.
cryptocurrency market is still a young market so it if much more fluctuative and unpredictable all the time, so using the techniques from other financial trading exchanges will not always accurate, and most of coins on the market depends on bitcoin and most of bitcoin belongs to a group of people have huge amount of bitcoin, so they can control the market to bring more profit to them, we should not put too much hope on market analysis.

I think it is important to do some research when you want to trade because intuition is not enough sometimes

I choose both of them, and try to manage my emotion before taking any decision. I still believe in holding it, a big thing takes time to grow. But beware, there is still another analysis, fundamental. Research before taking any decision is the key, and be ready for the consequences.
