Let's be honest, never in anytime nobody watched the Turkish derbies other than Turkish people. I don't remember a time where it was televised in Europe or any other place and it got good views. Turkish league was never popular enough to get a good tv rights deal.

With these economic situations and these local players, nobody from the Turkish league can get any success from European games in a long time. It would take long but very long years for new Turkish players to develop, then there might be a chance for success in Europe for Turkish teams. Otherwise they need huge economic circumstances for real success.

^^ I mean obviously he is a good enough striker, there is no doubt about that, in fact "most" transfers are always good on paper, rarely there are a few that is done obviously by agents strong arming teams. In this case, it is really good transfer. However, what we are missing is the point where players end up not playing as well as he normally could. Like if we are going to talk about Galatasaray and strikers, do you really think that Falcao was a bad one?

Now, we can say it was a bad one, but at the time he was a striker that would have been insanely good but then he just acted injured for seasons. This is why I think we should hold off until a player proves himself to be good.

Any way you look at it, it's a great transfer. Haris Seferovic is a strong and finishing center striker who has been performing at a very high level in Benfica and Swiss National for years, previously in Frankfurt and Sociedad. Considering that there is the World Cup in November, he will give a very extra performance. The only problem is that it is a little heavy but for the super league, he might do okay. I have high hopes for Muleka, I believe he can easily go on over ten goals with Beşiktaş, as he should. What Larin did in championship season is now Muleka's job. If he passes fifteen then it's great, but minimum expectation is ten.
I think Weghorst will work like a charm. He can create space for others, keep the ball in third, make good runs and shoot some headers as well. There is no reason for him to stay under twenty goals this season. He might not be new Gomez but he would definitely be better scorer than Batshuayi. When I think about chances Bats wasted last season I still have headaches.
Cenk Tosun is an easter egg, he can't be second striker in the team. Beşiktaş still need a striker over Cenk Tosun's quality and more reliable like Weghorst. I hope they won't pass this transfer window without buying another striker, that's crucial for the title.

Let's say, Weghorst will score twenty, Muleka fifteen and Cenk seven. That would be forty two goals from forwards, so we still need another ten-goal man in attacking line. I hope board have some calculations in their list and don't hesitate to make a move for another striker before it's too late.

I believe that the league will be a bit "weird" this season because it is not known what is going to happen. All teams are trying to build a good squad for this year, normally we would see one team being way better than the others and get players other teams can't.

It is understandable, you won't see like 3-4 clubs all getting superb players all on the same season, normally one team would do something crazy each year and get a player that would be a shocking news to everyone. This year GS got a good squad, but Fener got one too, and Trabzon already had one and added some, BJK also got a good one too. It is like a weird situation because the all look great.

For the left back position Kerim Çalhanoğlu from Schalke 04 is on the radar. Tayfur Bingöl was an alternative but Alanyaspor wanted 2 million Euro for him so we can eliminate this name already. Kerim played in ten games for Schalke last season. Beşiktaş will made a loan offer and buyout option. If this works it will be low risk transfer. There is no need to spend money come from Rıdvan to same position, there are bigger priorities.

Luyindama was loaned to Al Taawon last year. He returned to the team this year. If Luyindama returns to his old performance, Galatasaray can breathe a sigh of relief in defense.
