I think Galatasaray should end the transfer of the striker as soon as possible.

Galatasaray should first of all handle its financial issues before looking to make any transfers. As a matter of fact they already have talented young players with high potential which if only Okan Buruk and the team management can focus on building their efficiency, the performance of the whole team will skyrocket this season. For example some of these young talents are Sacha Boey, Olimpiu Morutan, Mostafa Mohamed, Alexandru Cicaldau, Baris Alper, Emin Bayram, Hamza Akman, Emirhan, Emre Akbaba and many others. If they can do this then, hopefully it will be a good and successful season with a championship at the end.

Galatasaray have one of their important players in the past as their new manager now. Okan Buruk must not have much problem on adapting to Galatasaray. I don't like to see a team changing their manager very often but maybe they would have a long-term contract this time with Okan Buruk. It is important to wait patiently for even a long time if necessary. For example, Manchester United had great times with Alex Ferguson but in his first times they had really problematic seasons for some time.

I'm thinking the same thing as you. Okan Buruk was one of the important players of the team we won the 2000 UEFA Cup. He knows the club and the fans. He knows what we need. If he stays as a coach for many years, he could become a legend like Alex Ferguson. We must be patient with him for a few years.

We totally agree on being patient for a few years. Although this is not possible in Turkey, I wish it. I hope Galatasaray's new coach and former player Okan Buruk leaves a good mark on Galatasaray. Being a good football player does not necessarily mean being a good coach. If it were, George Hagi, the greatest football player of Galatasaray, which is accepted by everyone, would still be in Galatasaray as a coach. We will watch the management of Okan Buruk together.
As a kid I always loved Okan Burak's playstyle in midfield. They had great chemistry with Emre Belözoğlu and Suat. I am sure many people remember their names. But it is hard to guess his managing performance. I personally feel like Galatasaray will never fill Fatih Terim's role. They need assertive coaching. All big teams need assertive coaches literally, or players won't be motivated.

Galatasaray have a lot of work to do now. There are many players who have come back from their loan. I wonder if any of them will have a chance in the squad. I also wait for Galatasaray to bring a good striker to be more effective about scoring goals. Actually there are multiple strikers in the team already but I don't think that they should rely on any of them. I see that they have signed Mostafa Mohamed on a permanent deal. He is good but still I believe that they need a much more capable striker.
Most of Turkish teams (including Galatasaray obviously) never exactly put loan returnees back to first eleven. I am sure this will not change this season. If a player is not young/inexperienced and loaned to some random team, it means teams prefer to avoid paying his wages. So those type of players are always in shortlist of "for sale". Galatasaray needs to fix its offense obviously tho.

For me the turkish league is one of the entertaining leagues almost every season we see a different champion and many unexpected results a lot of competition there is no way to predict the champion in the begining of the season but there are the usual condidates but i think tranbzonspor are the favourites in term of odds.
Why do you see Trabzonspor as the favorite as odds? Is it because they were the defending champion? You know they didn't win the championship for years before that, right? Do you think they can make a championship streak again? And in such an environment? In a year where Fenerbahçe has not been champions for years, Galatasaray and Beşiktaş do not want to take a break anymore, and the competition is at a high level?
I think this is very difficult and it's impossible for Trabzonspor to catch such a series in the 21st century. The Big Three won't be this generous every year. I'm 99% sure that one of the Big Three will be the champion this year. It's quite difficult to know which one will be, but it's quite easy to eliminate Trabzonspor, Başakşehir or some another Anatolian club.
It's too early to talk about any team as right now few teams are spending good investment for having their required players but for me now it's very hard for them to defend their title in next year because now after having the worst result in league table Galatasaray could be very impressive team with Besiktas which already show their strength at the end of season these both can create problems even no one can give perfect predictions about soccer teams in Europe but having any predictions about Turkish clubs are more difficult in last few years.

They are losing their quality which is essential for them if they want to have some better name in European soccer which is already having very tough competition and now too many leagues are improving their quality which can bring some big investments for them.

I think Galatasaray should end the transfer of the striker as soon as possible. We have a very important deficiency in the forward zone. We need a talented player who can give confidence to the team. It's not on the agenda right now, but my favorite is Balotelli. Because he reflects the forward type that Galatasaray needs. He knows the Turkish League and managed to prove himself last year.

I think this problem will not be experienced in Okan bitter, because we believe that we will see a good Galatasaray this season. The results that Okan Buruk gave to the teams he took in the teams he coached are obvious. Now he has returned to his own home, where he will show the same success. I am always against the change of the coach, but even if Okan makes bad mistakes, I think they should be given a chance, needs to be patient here with the fans and the club. This is how success comes.
I am not sure if "success" is the way to go. First of all they are in big big big financial crisis unfortunately, when you spend tens of millions of dollars on useless Romanian players, that is bound to happen and when you get zero success (aside from Barcelona games) then you will end up with no money to recover neither.

So, this year is "just get to champions league or europa again and focus on league" season which means they will not be able to spend much on transfer. Or they will, and take a big risk, and that will result with them needing a big success, like championship at least, and if they fail, it will be even worse for the future.

So far Galatasaray is the team with the most Turkish league titles, second is Fenerbahce. I agree with you that it is unlikely that Trabzonspor will be able to defend their title next season because the Big Three (Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, and Besiktas) will not let Trabzonspor win the Turkish league again. unfortunately, the Turkish league transfer market for this season is almost non-existent.

Indeed in this case for the Club here it is very difficult to be seeded in getting the title because it is very difficult to guess and what will happen in the current season.
A good team can play very badly and vice versa. An example now might be Galatasaray which can be said to be a pretty good team stranded in 13th position now and Trabzonspor who last season was in 4th position now immediately become champions.

I really want to see my team Galatasaray as successful in the coming season. The last one was a really terrible experience for all of Galatasaray supporters. They have huge problems to solve but they have already started to solve some of them. The presidential election has ended. They have Okan Buruk in the management position of the team now also. They only need to bring the right players to the team from now on and build a strong team. I believe in Okan Buruk about this.

The team's goalkeeper is really good, but I think it would be difficult to say the same for the rest of the players Smiley

you are probably right, but I am counting on that that fourth place is not amazing result, although good, so they still have chance for one great season Smiley

and that they are in European competition, which is always good to buy new players in this transfer window, so that they can play good there, and Conference league is really having lower ranked teams from best leagues, so there is a chance for best teams from lower ranked countries to go till the end, and eventually win trophy

Until now there has been no news about this and it is very likely that the leadership milestone for the coaching chair will likely be held by Okan even though his performance last season was very far from expectations. It's a shame that a team that is quite big now seems to have lost its fangs because of its poor performance and I agree with the change because even though there is no guarantee but if it continues to be silenced, the impact will be quite large for them next season.

What you're saying makes no sense. Despite his young age, Okan Buruk is a big name and one of the star managers of the future. He has won the Turkish Cup with Akhisarspor and won the Super League with Başakşehir. He has done amazing things at such a young age. What great managers have not achieved these successes for years.
I don't know if Okan Buruk will be successful in Galatasaray and I don't want him to be successful because I don't support Galatasaray. But I know that he will do well with a limited squad and that Galatasaray will not be in a bad situation at least as it was last season.

it would be nice to see Galatasaray up this season, last season was really dissappointing
nevertheless, I will cheer for Basaksehir, due to Volcan as their keeper, they have European duties as well, and hopefully can pass group stage in European conference league, which will be great success

not sure that they can lift trophy this season, but finishing within top4 will be enough to call season successful

I have my doubts that Başakşehir can finish the season with a good ranking this year. The performances of Anatolian teams are not very stable, the team that plays well one year may play very badly the next year. Therefore, Başakşehir now has a high chance of having an unsuccessful season.
