I think Football yes is for the money cause players earn a living out of it, but it requires passion too and that’s why each club has a fan base, Leaders should learn how to invest in their clubs as this will make football passion increase generally and when there’s good football it’ll result in more fund generated, however club owners and board members are supposed to follow the rules and regulations of their countries football body
Now when you see the situation at Turkey and compare it to the country’s performance both in Europe and the World at large you know proper investment is lacking as a result the country’s low performance, however I must commend several clubs like Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, and Besiktas for doing their very best in their league and qualifying into the Champions League to give us a good show.
Indeed, football also has goal of making money and of course football team owners will dare to invest their money because there is goal of being able to make more from every match played by the team.
Moreover, if football team is taking part in an important competition like the UCL, it is clear that the income from each match will also be very large, this is why big teams can always have big budgets and can take on great players for big salaries.
It just that on the other hand there are bad impacts that occur if football team only thinks about profits, either from matches or from profitable player sales.
For example, Dortmund in the Bundesliga has always been able to make profit from every player sale and now they are experiencing significant decline because several of their flagship players have been sold.
All of this is the result of too big goal in seeking excessive profits.
I know that and indeed there are still many team in Turkish football that cannot develop and only the top teams can always develop to take part in important competitions like the UCL.
Maybe if there are better changes in the future, Turkish football will be able to develop more and of course give other team the opportunity to participate in competitions like the UCL.
