Is anyone interested in betting on Fury vs Ngannou for 5%?

1.05 - 8.20

Obviously, it is the most reliable and profitable bet on the fact that the fight will not last the entire distance with odds of 1.11 - even if Ngannou somehow miraculously wins, this bet will work.

If you have spare money you can afford to waste, go for Ngannou a big win with 8.20. And it could also go to waste more than likely.

A KO win by Fury still is substantial which is more than 80% possible if we look at the odds itself.
But there is no assurance to it yet, they could just be running arround the ring and end in a decision.

We have a lot of Ngannou supporters here thinking he could do something magical against an elite boxer who is undefeated, the only question is whether Ngannou can survive all the punches and go to a decision or if he falls before that, Tyson Fury by decision is a good pick considering the odds, how many rounds, is this the usual 6 rounds, if so it can end in a decision win for Fury.
Tyson Fury is one of the best boxer to ever to it but some are counting on the punching power of Francis Ngannou, you never know if Francis Ngannou somehow able to connect one punch and then gas out completely trying to land that punch and stumble for the rest of the rounds, by the way it is a 10 rounder and if there is a bet about the round in which Francis Ngannou gasses out, my prediction would be on the 5th round.

For me, Fury does not look in the best shape he has ever been but he insists he trained hard enough as though the fight will go on for 12 rounds. Watching the weigh-in was another classic from Fury. The way he stood opposite Ngannou was hilarious and how Ngannou was unable to look at him eye to eye  Grin

Fury looks like this in all of his fights, he is not having the best physique in all of the fights i watched but he is really good enough to win in the end and he is having cardio for ages as you will never see him getting tired and the agility for his size is incredible.

As a sideshow, Usyk has arrived with his team in the hotel Saudi Arabia to watch the fight ringside and Fury was there to meet him. It was funny watching Fury joking with Usyk and his team because it does seem underneath all that bravado there is a heart of gold. I laughed when Usyk lifted Fury off the ground when he was invited to hug him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LydvrwqYkF4

The video is too kind, it annoys me  Grin
These guys can’t do that, a legend must remain a legend - irreconcilable opponents and all that, but in fact we see pleasant communication between millionaires who will put on a show for the crowd.

I still think Fury will win, there is no doubt in my mind about that.

Tyson though was just all for the game of it. And he didn't take John Fury seriously.

It's all for show. Without their bragging people watching the conference would say it was boring and now they know there's a bit of beef not only between fighters but coaches too.
It's funny when you see a man named after Mike Tyson go against a fighter trained by Tyson. It's like he was waiting his whole career for this to happen.
I like both of these fighters. Fury seems to be a bit better, but I wouldn't call this a sure bet.

My prediction in jeremypwr's promo thread was Round 9 but you know what, I have a feeling Fury gets the KO sooner than that.

Fury rubbing his hairy belly to Ngannou, that's epic someone should make a gif for it.
the commentator said the first 3 rounds are the most important for Ngannou beyond that, it could be Fury picking up the rhythm and winning the fight. it is always assumed that Ngannou couldn't last up to 10th round. by the 4th round, it will all be a gassed-out Ngannou.

in the first 3 rounds, i think are enough for him to apply what he learned from Mike, utilizing the footwork to position his hips for the hardest punch.

We are yet to find out if Ngannou can do something. But it's just not based on his skills. If Fury just keeps playing Ngannou around with jabs, Ngannou may not land a single hit on Fury from a distance.

But if Fury also will pursue a KO win, he will need to go close which could be an opportunity for Ngannou to throw haymakers. Ngannou throwing body punches could still be damaging. The best option is for Fury to keep his distance for a safer win.
Ngannou is in stunning physical condition, he can cause trouble many a professional boxer but will he be able to damage Fury, I doubt it. As in any boxing bouts, when two powerful men face each other in a small space anything can happen if one is caught with an unexpected punch directly to the face. Having said that, I think Fury will ease his way in to the fight as Ngannou and his adrenalin start to wear off.

I expect Ngannou will probably go at Fury trying to hit him with everything he has in the first two rounds but after that I expect Fury to dominate and dictate with ease.

I read Fury will get $50M and Ngannou $10M. Damn!
If these amounts are correct it will be the biggest pay Ngannou would have received. Has Fury ever received more than $50 million for a fight before?

There is a something about Hulk Hogan and John Fury looking like long lost brothers, especially now that John Fury has chosen to adopt that very distinctive moustache and beard (which is not identical but has similarities). He is very funny, he wants to be the centre f attraction whenever Tyson or Tommy are on the promotional tours  Grin

The coolest person on the stage was Ngannou, he was simply taking it easy but that does not mean he will win the fight.

Since I don't know who John Fury is, I thought it was Hulk Hogan when I saw the video. There's really some resemblance, LOL. I used to watch Hulk Hogan when I was a kid as he was the king of wrestling at that time...... But John Fury really has some impressive hyping skills, and Mike Tyson also did his part, being so underrated in the question-and-answer portion, according to one commentator of the video. These two are set to show a big fight. Fury looks chill, but we know how much of a beast he is in the ring. Good luck to Ngannou; let's see if he has something up his sleeves to surprise the fans.

Fury might only go for a KO if Ngannou is aggressively attacking, which seems to be the plan given he's coached by Mike Tyson, known for his aggressive boxing style. This fight might play out like the Wilder vs. Fury 2 scenario, but let's hope it won't result in significant damage to Ngannou if he indeed loses by KO.

I read Fury will get $50M and Ngannou $10M. Damn!

Here's the interesting fact, even if Ngannou loses, a $10 million payday is a significant sum for him. However, it would be even better if he managed to surprise the world by upsetting Fury and still getting that $10 million. On the flip side, such an upset could potentially disrupt the highly anticipated bout between Fury and Usyk.

I think this is the article that says about their purse.

Quote
Fury vs Ngannou Purse: How much will the winner of the fight get?
Boxer Derek Chisora revealed on FightHub TV that Tyson Fury will take $50 million for the fight, reports Sporting News.

While 'The Gypsy King' commented that his rival will take more than he has taken in his fights inside the octagon. According to talkSPORT, Ngannou made around $600,000 when he defeated Ciryl Gane to retain the UFC heavyweight title.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Ngannou has a net worth of between $5 million and $7 million, while Fury's stands at $65 million.

Did not get one thing - why there was champions belt on the table, and they made a together picture of it while both holding it? It was said that there are no titles on the line. This isnt a ranked fight. I think Ngannou even isnt allowed to have a title fight. Something has changed in the fight regalement? Or they just brought that belt to show how cool Fury is ?

The WBC belt is not at stake here, since Ngannou is not ranked in any boxing organization, he cannot get into a title fight, the press conference is very entertaining with John Fury calling out Mike Tyson for a fight, this is going to be a very entertaining fight both Ngannou and Tyson are having fun during the face-off, whatever the outcome here both fighters are already winners, both fighters are going to make a lot of money, lets see if Ngannou has a future in boxing after this fight.

Is there a rule that prohibits the champion from carrying his belt even on non-title fights? I don't think there is so it's more like showing that Fury is "cool" and that much of the stuff that happened here is just marketing.

And with this press conference, I don't think that Francis can go 5.5 round against Tyson Fury. Maybe in the first couple of rounds he can go toe to toe. But for sure he will gets tired from round 3 and up and that's the time that Tyson Fury could take advantage of Francis. I'm seeing as well Fury's uppercut as his main weapon here.
Francis will probably go out swinging in the first three rounds since that's his best chance of an upset. It's a better outlook for the promotion also than him just covering up so he couldn't get tired like what Dilon did in another fight.

The press conference was entertaining thanks to Tyson’s crazy Dad and Mike Tyson being Mike Tyson. I actually think that will probably be the most entertaining part of this fight. After seeing footage of Francis boxing, I’m pretty confident he’s in way over his head. Unless he was releasing faked footage, this fight is going to be incredibly one sided.

Yes, it's more of the John Fury taking the center stage in the press conference and talking crazy about him and Mike Tyson. So it's very entertaining, but Mike Tyson just shrugged as he knows John and most likely anticipated it already, so he was just all smiles.

Ngannou stays grounded and he is very composed, he never comes across as an ill-tempered fool therefore I have to say I like the him. He gives the correct level of respect and concern to Fury and that shows he has character. Fury was simply being Fury but seriously his father (John) was just the court jester with his antics at the face-off. Why on earth did he strip down to his underwear as though to give the impression he was about to weigh for the fight himself.

As for (Mike) Tyson, he seemed very happy to be able to enjoy some time in the boxing field again and maybe training boxers will be his way back to keep himself busy. At least with Ngannou he has someone who is a powerful fighter and is at peak physical condition therefore if he manages to win it will catapult Ngannou (and Mike Tyson back) to the top. I did not see the footage you refer to but regardless I think Fury has this one as win by KO or TKO, I cannot see this going to a points decision.
