I don't know about you guys but I strongly feel this match between Tommy fury and Francis Ngannou is going to be either scripted or just an avenue for for both men to make money. Firstly Francis Ngannou has not entered any competitive boxing match although he has the hard recorded punch of any man and being coached by arguably the best boxing heavy weight of all time Mike Tyson he still is at a disadvantage starting his boxing match against Tyson fury the undefeated world heavyweight champion.   Also whats funny is that Tyson Fury has a boxing match against a top ranked boxers immediately after this fight with Ngannou.

We will see that in the early rounds, both fighters are good at throwing haymakers, of course both fighters want to make money Ngannou will be making more than all his fights in MMA but I'm sure, Ngannou will want to extend his run in boxing if he can draw or even beat Tyson, that means more money coming in and most of all making a name for himself, but of course Tyson has everything he needs in his arsenal to contain Ngannou like what Mayweather did to Mcgregor.
The way I see it, Ngannou is only good in the early rounds, and after five rounds Tyson will take over he has all the experience to tire and dominate Ngannou and eventually knock him out or stop Ngannou.

And now the father of Tyson Fury, wanted to go after Mike Tyson.

Quote
"[I'd like to fight] Mike Tyson. Mike Tyson, I’m going to the top of the tree. And he’s a traitor, and I’m going to tell him so in Saudi next week. Next week, he’ll be told," John Fury told Fight Hub TV.

https://www.boxingscene.com/amp/john-fury-plans-confront-traitor-mike-tyson-during-fury-ngannou-fight-week--178598

That is a very bad idea, even at Mike Tyson's age, he is still very scary as hell. And perhaps this is just to hype the fight as we all know that John Fury wanted to get into the limelight as well when his son/s have fight.

And I guess there's nothing personal on Mike's side, maybe he just wanted to train Francis Ngannou, who he might see himself when he was starting his boxing career. Power in both hands but very raw.

John Fury called Iron Mike a traitor because they used to have good relationships. Tyson Fury is also named after John's idol Iron Mike. But this is nothing personal though and Iron Mike is probably invited and paid well by Ngannou's team so why not? Or it could be that the promoters or organizers hired Iron Mike to make an issue out of it which is somewhat corny. Or who knows this is set up by both teams to make the public buy their upcoming PPV.

John always tries to get attention as always although I guess he was one of the reasons why the Tommy Furry-KSI and Logan vs Dillon event became successful to the casual fans. If the ultra-conservative Saudis allow John to make extra stunts like smashing and throwing the tables and chairs in their conference and weigh-in then I guess it will once again draw popularity to the public.

Yep that's funny. John Fury always wants to be the center of attention despite how old the man.   John also wants to be paid if he can make hype for this fight just as Mike making money in Ngannou's camp.

As if Fury vs Ngannou isn't already an obscure match, he wants to add their old selves in a boxing match all for the money. I saw the interview and he demanded to be compensated of course.

That's interesting it's only one week there are so many dramas going on headed to the weigh-in so before the weigh-in happens both camps are ready for a confrontational drama, of course, these are all gimmicks, Mike Tyson is not the same Mike Tyson who like to be in a heated argument but his presence alone stir a lot of drama and hype its Tyson versus Tyson  Cheesy.

Checking out the poll I'm surprised to see this, very close let's see the odds before the fight, I'm very excited to see the weigh-in, Tyson Fury is very good in creating
hype on the weigh-in let's see what he is up to now.

This fight is only going to end up one way and that’s with Fury beating Ngannou badly. It never ends up well for MMA fighters in the boxing ring.
Francis Ngannou will gas out completely after the 4th or 5th round and Tyson Fury will teach him some classic boxing lessons for someone who is making his boxing debut against a legend  Cheesy.

Great to see that Francis Ngannou was finally able to get a match up he is dreaming and after the fight he will understand why Dana White was not willing to make this fight happen  Cheesy.

Saw a Video and Tyson Fury is expecting more than just four to five rounds that night, he expects nothing more or less than ten to eleven rounds. Lol.

That match will be war. Francis Ngannou looks confident and don't seem to talk too much.
It'll be the first boxing match I see, I'm not taking sides I only want to feel my eyes. Mind you, Francis Ngannou is a big man, he will not be easy for Fury to get down with. I've also see boxing lessons from Mark Tyson. it's a 50/50! chance. Vamos!

Who's Mark Tyson? Really 50/50 fight? When the odds says that Francis is 7:1 underdog?

Anyone see though the promotion for this fight?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-V0LwEptZ8

And I will agree on the comments, it's one of the best boxing promotion that we have seen in years. But can it live to the hype? Sure, Francis is a good underdog in fight because he has power. But Fury has been with one of the biggest punchers in Wilder, and he eat everything, goes down, but was able to get back on his fight and survived. And we will make it simply, Fury is the boxer here, not just a boxer, but a master and technical boxer so realistically, he should win. Just a matter of what rounds he is going to take out Francis.

The two have something to fight for. Fury long against Francis can say goodbye to his undefeated record, legacy is on the line per se. Francis losing his boxing debut means no other boxing match for him after this. No one else such as Wilder will take him seriously if he loses against Fury. He will once again just stick to MMA in PFL which is an unknown platform to MMA fans.

Mike Tyson I think helped Francis gain more confidence, and with the motivation to make a ton of money in boxing he will do his best.

For Fury, not winning this fight would, of course, be a terrible disaster. But for Ngannou, it seems to me that this will be a simple nuisance that will be compensated by the fact that he will earn as much money as he earned during his entire career in the UFC. Roughly speaking, Ngannou doesn’t care about this defeat at all, he will get the money anyway and I’m sure that he is not going to continue his career in boxing, this is just a fight for money. Another question is that if he wins, he will receive huge prospects, but this looks too fantastic.

Imho Fury must, just must win this fight. Otherwise it would be a huge hit on boxing in general. It will be a case, when any guy can came from other combat sports to boxing and with half a year of training beat boxing champion. That is something unacceptable. Boxing champs must be defeated only by boxing champions, otherwise it will depreciate the value of boxing and heavyweight champs.
This is not the case where any regular guy can come from combat sports in boxing and defeat champions. He has to fight against Ngannou after all, he is not a regular fighter and he holds the world record for most powerful punch. But I would still say that there is no need to worry about Tyson Fury. He may even say that it's his disrespect to worry about him against Ngannou. Fury will win this match without doubt!

I think you have never watched Fury fights before. Even though he is fat, really fat, he has enough stamina for 12 rounds. I have never seen him breathing heavily during fights. Dont forget, that behind that fat, there are muscles like steel, that were formed during hours of training. Of course no one cancels deadly punch to the liver, but try to punch throw all that defense and fat. Similar to Ngannou. The fact that he is more fit, probably has 6pack instead of lifebuoy that Fury has, does not mean he has more stamina. Btw, all those muscles eat more stamina than fat.
Dude definitely doesn't watch Fury fight and doesn't know that you can be muscular beneath those chubby stomach plus Fury already has the mass and the punching power, anything that involves training would be an excess to him. I didn't know about the muscles eating more stamina than fat so I have to be doubtful of that, doing further research on that.

My take on this fight would be that Fury would win this match up, that I am sure given that boxing is the match otherwise it would be Ngannou that's going to be winning if the setting was in MMA. My reasoning for my prediction is flimsy though as I believe that Ngannou's MMA instinct is going to be something that he has to fight consciously so that he won't commit any violation in boxing meanwhile for Fury, it's just fight as usual. Unless Ngannou's conditioning is top-tier combined with his knockout punching power, there's a small possibility that he will score the victory.

^Fury is definitely a pro boxer. But he did not look fit at all. He really has a big belly and a lot of fat around his midsection, to be honest. So I do not think that one fighter is going to have an advantage over the other when it comes to stamina. But at the same time one gets hit by the other properly, it is definitely going to be a knockout.

If it becomes a one-sided boring fight where Fury dominates, it could be the last time any MMA fighter get in to a boxing bout.

idk there is big money in cross-promotion, they know they can make a bigger audience when big names are participating, Jake Paul knows this game very well because he can still milk the retired ones from UFC and make the active UFC fighters salivate for the money they are making. Woodley is willing to drop dead without throwing a punch all for the pay but Fury vs Ngannou is a way bigger fight than what Jake Paul can do.

If there really is a rematch clause for them, it will be good for Ngannou. I think he is also eyeing to fight Wylder, legitimizing his boxing path and probably going into boxing while also into PFL.

They are both big names (Fury is far bigger) and both fighters will be making huge sums of money for the fight. There is no doubt about it, the pay per view numbers will be huge for two reasons. First because MMA and Ngannou fans will want to see what the fight will be like and second, boxing fans and fans of Fury will be looking forward to seeing him back in the ring after the Usyk fight failed to materialise.

If it becomes a one-sided boring fight where Fury dominates, it could be the last time any MMA fighter get in to a boxing bout.

^Both of them are big names right now. And it is going to attract people from two worlds. MMA and boxing. The pay-per-view is going to be great. I hope that the fight does live up to the expectations. Fury is old. If he does get hit by Francis Ngannou he will probably not get up.

Have you seen Fury vs Ngannou recent promo ? https://www.instagram.com/reel/CyIKXXMNol9/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA. Looks awesome. Funny how both agreed to make this more fun than serious.
Find myself thinking that I am excited to watch this fight. Previously I was kinda confusing about their challenge, but now I cant wait to see how Ngannou gonna perform in boxing. How he managed to switch from MMA base to pure boxing.

That's one fun and eye catching promotional video. It emphasizes the intensity of the heavy weight fighters punch, of course in a funny way. Though even without this promotional video, their names could be enough to gather the attention of both boxing and MMA fans.
This is indeed an exciting match as Ngannou has a background in boxing, only thing I am worried about is whether his stamina can keep up against a pure pro boxer like Fury. This has been the issue for most of the MMA fighters stepping into the boxing ring.

That's a pretty unique approach. I initially thought the theme would revolve around Fury's eating habits, while Ngannou stays dedicated to his training. That would've been fun too. You can tell this fight is no joke; they're really going all in with the promotion. And with the way the PPV rates are going, I'm guessing both of them will make a pretty decent income from all the promotional work they're doing.

They both has nothing to lose, as they are already winners, because they get huge paychecks. No matter what the outcome would be, with money they get, they might rest for 5-10 years easily.
They would add to their already considerable wealth but neither of them would want to have a loss in their career. No doubt Fury would like to go unbeaten throughout his career and retire as the unified heavyweight champion. Ngannou would like to be the first to defeat Fury and then would probably use that as his platform to go on the professional boxing circuit.

Well, Ngannou has nothing to lose and Fury has everything to lose. If he wins or does very well, maybe he will go in to boxing on a wave of popularity.

Btw, wasnt Ngannou talking that he would have 3 boxing fights? Or he has named 3 boxers he wants to face? Well, this seems to be his work for next years and pension.

They both underestimate each other, Ngannou on Fury's belly and Fury on Ngannou's skill let's see who will laugh last in their coming fight, it's a big mockery for Ngannou that their fight is not yet happen but Fury already had a contract to fight Usyk, I think this will fuel Ngannou's desire to beat Fury.
I think fighters annoying one another, provoking one another (or even mocking one another) has become a normal part of the fight promotion. It usually starts happening from when before the fight is agreed and continues until the day of the fight and peaks during the weight-in. Looking at the manner in which Fury seems to have taken a step back from training, he is not in peak physical condition.

Underestimating Ngannou is a mistake but at the same time Ngannou seems to think he has already won the fight.

Everybody is underestimating Ngannou, the press, and the boxing community if ever, Ngannou beat Fury it would be the biggest upset in boxing and this will catapult Ngannou's popularity in boxing and that means more money coming in.
Well, Ngannou has nothing to lose and Fury has everything to lose. If he wins or does very well, maybe he will go in to boxing on a wave of popularity.
