I must say that I am speechless. Either the fight was fake from the very beginning, or Fury was under something. Otherwise I cant explain why he ate most of what Ngannou gave him. If that is the real king, then he will be in huge troubles in a fight against Usyk. In that fight I did not see any technics from Fury. Or Ngannou tricked him, he has expected close range fight, while Francis shot a lot from the distance.

P.S. Such a shameful fight for Fury...

It was really a surprise that Francis Ngannou is able to take Tyson Fury's heavy punches and is able to fight Tyson Fury toe to toe.  I have Ngannou winning on that fight and the best result for Fury is a draw.  This simply show how corrupt the boxing judging system is.  The result is very disappointing but of course boxers and audience have to accept it.

A rematch is really needed on this one and probably next time Ngannou will be declared the winner(if the fight comes into a decision). to make the need for another fight to milk more money to the viewers.

He should not have become overhyped after he knocked him down because it clearly gave Tyson some seconds to recover, he should have taken the opportunity to finish him with multiple power punches after the knockdown. But he didn't finish him and lost that fight because he didn't totally knock him out. when you are the challenger, you should aim for the knockout and not gonna give your opponent to chance to give the judges the decision because most of the time, they will just simply snatch the win from you and this is boxing also this is not the first time this is happened.

I’ll admit I didn’t watch the full fight so I probably shouldn’t even make this comment, but I did see plenty of clips and it seemed to me like Tyson Fury lost this fight. What is it that I’m missing. Are all the highlights of the fight tilted to make Francis look like he did better than he did? Is there anyone who thinks Tyson Fury won this fight?

The result of this fight should be similar to Manny Pacquiao vs. Keith Thurman, where Manny Pacquiao knocked down Keith Thurman in the 1st round. Fury did well in most of the other rounds, but knocking down Fury in the 3rd round must be considered the deciding moment, as Fury has never inflicted that much damage on Francis.

Certainly there will be a rematch and hopefully with 12 rounds and fight for a belt.

I don't think we can compare to Manny Pacquiao vs Keith Thurman fight though. Both are boxers, Manny is old and Keith Thurman is still at this prime during that time. But Manny did surprised us by knocking down the young Thurman and then winning on the judges card.

Here, Fury was the biggest favorite, and If I'm not mistaken, Ngannou is like 8:1 or 7:1 underdog. What surprises us here is that Francis looks good at boxing as we all know that he comes from the MMA background.

As for the immediate rematch, there's none. Of course we wanted to see it again, but Fury confirmed that there's no rematch clause and that he will go to Usyk as they have sign the contract already.

That's a big wow. Francis can box. Unlike all the other MMA fighters who tried boxing, Ngannou is the only one who didn't come out embarrassing himself. He didn't look like a clown. He knew how to throw jabs, double jabs. He could float like Fury himself, change stance in the middle of the fight, etc. If only he had even one tune-up fight before facing Fury, he could have performed better and won.

What I noticed though, like other MMA fighters entering boxing, is that he had an open mouth early on. He also wasn't able to capitalize on the knockdown. He didn't have a number of combinations in his arsenal. But he can very well box.

Congratulations to Fury but credits to Ngannou as well not only for giving Tyson a run for his money but also for showing a great fight. He deserves all the accolades. A big shout out to his team as well for preparing him well in his boxing debut, not against anybody else but the Gypsy King Tyson Fury.

Except it there was a knockout it would be very difficult for the judges to give the fight to Francis Ngannou. It would have been a great distortion of recent boxing history for an unknown boxer to beat a heavyweight champion. I knew they would seek means to at least give Tyson Fury a draw. But making him the winner made the broad day robbery clearer and the entire boxing world is in great shock. Even Fury knew he didn't deserve the win because he was not bragging about the victory and he shawored praises on his opponent.

But I am motivated by the comments of the Cameroonian-French boxer. He said he was happy and going to come back better. This is the mentality of a future champion, putting the past behind and looking forward to a better future. Almost everyone is asking for a rematch and Ngannou said he is going back to work harder and that he would be ready for the fight at anything time.

Didn’t see the fight but saw some highlights and it seemed like a good fight. I think Fury underestimated Ngannou and with him a lot of people but Ngannou proved us all wrong. Can not comment if Ngannoj deserved the win but honestly I am happy that Fury won in the end. He is one of my favorite boxers and it will be a good fight versus Uysk!
I was rooting for Francis but didn't think he stood a chance, this guy is the definition of inspirational.  I'll never question a thing he says again, man is a behemoth that could do anything he puts his mind to. Boxing handing him the loss to save face only does boxing a disservice, imagine the hype if they'd give him his win.
He's a breath of fresh air and genuine competition and now boxing fans are supposed to go back to what? Fury v Usyk? this is literally why the sport is on it's last legs, the swamp needs draining of corrupt promoters, this fight was rigged.

I am one of the people that believed that Ngannou was robbed of a win, and the fact that the refs were there to protect Fury and boxing as a name, was the main reason why Fury even won. They didn't want some MMA fighter who hasn't fought in a long time to come in and take on the world boxing champion and beat him, they wanted to just keep the boxing name clear and make sure they are doing fine.

But lately it has been getting more and more common for other fighting division champions to give their best towards boxing champions and it looks as if that boxing is not doing all that well against other style of fighters.

Ngannou did amazingly, even with a knock down or two, and he was much better one without a doubt, didn't even let Fury rest and hug all fight long, he was clearly much stronger and his punches was a lot harder and hurt Fury a lot more, whereas Fury just circled all fight long and didn't really do all that well, didn't had any proper punches that rocked Ngannou at all.

but Ngannou still lost the fight. I'm not a boxing expert, but I think Ngannou was the fighter who most deserved to win this fight. It's funny that before this fight started, the odds were 1.09 in favor of Tyson Fury, I actually laughed a lot when I saw this odds, but when I watch the highlights of the fight, I keep asking myself why the bookmakers put odds of 1.09 for tyson fury and during the fight, things were not going well for tyson fury, it was a fight in which tyson fury was being put under pressure, the bookmakers were very wrong

Everyone will automatically make assumptions as Fury as the heavy favourite to win the fight simply because boxing is his field and he is the HW champ against Ngannou who just about to have his first professional boxing match. So, that explains why.
But then again, Ngannou stunned Fury when he knocked him down. Clearly, Fury underestimated Ngannou that he didn't prepared much for this fight as he is a bit out of shape compared to his previous fights. It could be embarrassing for a HW champ to lose on someone who just had his first boxing match. So, again, I understand why the outcome, but Ngannou deserved a win for this fight.

BTW, overall the match was pretty close. Fury landed more jabs while Ngannou kept pressuring and landed nice power shots. The knockdown that he scored against Fury was nice aswell BUT it also showed how tough Fury is. He ate that shot and got back up, didnt become wobbly nor slow down after it (even tho it was quite early in thr fight).

I don't think many boxers are going to be afraid of Francis Ngannou. On the contrary, even if he is not the champion, he will be one of the most sought boxers because of what he show in this fight. I mean he stand with Fury, knocking him down in round 3 and almost steal this one.

And with that, the hype is very high on Francis right now that any B-level fighter is willing to go and fight him with a good paycheck. And imagine if it will be Wilder or Zhang or AJ, that will make Francis and his opponent good money. So I'm expecting as early as next year we will witnessed Francis and his trainer Mike Tyson be back in action with some HW name fighters.
It seems to me that Ngannou fought this fight very well, but Ngannou  in this fight, had only one chance to win - to knock out Fury, in any other case the judges would have given the victory to Fury, which is what happened. The fight is a show, such an entertainment in Saudi Arabia, each of the fighters received their fees, and it seems to me that everyone should be happy with the outcome, except that Ngannou really wanted to win and prove his superiority, but for this it was necessary to act more decisively when In the third round it was necessary not allow Fury to recover.

No, it doesn't sound crazy, Boxing is rigged. Tommy Fury is a joke, youtubers are punching him like boxing bag, Jake Paul almost knocked him out and almost really beat him, he was super close. So, Jake Paul, KSI, youtuber guys beat him, what's the point of him being in box? Isn't it a shame? Then there we have legendary Tyson Fury who didn't take this fight seriously and almost got knocked out and beaten. Both brothers didn't perform as expected and both brothers lose but they won because boxing is rigged and probably rich Arabs had bet on them.

It felt like Fury was too sure of himself in this fight and underestimated his opponent. If I remember correctly, there was one judge that scored Ngannou's win, so Fury was just a few points from losing the match. It wouldn't mean anything because the belt wasn't on the line and he'd still get a lot of money for the fight, but maybe he's had enough of boxing. All of us get burned out at some point, just look at some MMA legends that started losing all of a sudden and had to retire, after having almost perfect scores.

I knew this could happen when I wrote this post before the fight. Fury felt like the better fighter but It was going to be a close fight, unlike some people were scoring that it's a sure win for Fury without breaking a sweat. Fury himself said that he's expecting a first round knockout.

Also, take into account that Tyson Fury will have a match against Oleksandr Usyk in December and I doubt the WBC would want their boxer to get hurt in an exhibition match.
Sure there was a knockdown but I think it's also for a show. I don't see a hard hit but he was definitely surprised by the punch from Ngannou but the knockdown is an exaggeration. It's almost like we watched two big boxers just standing there and gesturing to punch the whole 10 rounds. The commentator keeps repeating that one punch can end it instantly but with a controlled punch I doubt it could happen.
The fight was too much hyped and I thought I was going to see a real fight but it's all just jabs and clinches.
Honestly, it's actually boring in my own opinion, thankfully I watched the other fight between Foster and Hernandez which was really entertaining, especially in the last two rounds.

Ngannou should move on and keep the energy firing up ahead his future is just ahead of him and he would achieve more than this denied of him if only he doesn't let it weigh him down. It's not easy been denied of what you have spent time and energy enthusiastically training for and at the end this is what the boxing body in charge of the match could give as a decision.
We know who Tyson Fury's next opponent will be, but who will be the next for Francis Ngannou? Many boxers will be afraid of him because he was able to knockdown one of the greatest boxers still in the sport down with a punch. Many boxers will not be able to get back up and will not be able to go all rounds with him because of how aggressive he is and the power of the punches. Had Francis Ngannou knocked out Fury, the judges who decided the game on split decision will not have had the chance to judge the game in Fury's favor even when the winner was very clear.

I think hilarious should change the poll and ask whether the match ended with a robbery.  Lol.   Hint:  It did.  IMHO.
I swear, we really need to create a new poll and ask whether the split decision was rigged or not. I don't know what to think or say, I am sure I wasn't hallucinating and I was watching ESPN+ despite the fact that I wanted to sleep so bad. Ngannou was dominating in this match and hugging was all that Tyson Fury was doing. Ngannou even almost knocked him out, Tyson felt down. To be honest, it was a hella of a fun to see Tyson's face in slow motion during that moment.

I think, Ngannou won the match but it would be a huge shame for Boxing community to admit that man from MMA trained for a while and beat the undefeated heavyweight boxing champion on first debut. It was a robbery!

Your comment sounds crazy at first, but given that Tommy Fury literally just robbed KSI in the same way it starts to seem like less of a conspiracy theory. I’m glad Tyson Fury won because I had money on him, but even I know that he had no business winning that fight. Francis surprised everyone with that left hook.
