Fury is such a yaper that few people take his words seriously, especially this trash talk. It seems to me that if their fight was according to the UFC rules, then Ngannou would have a much greater advantage than the bookmakers now give in favor of Fury in a fight according to boxing rules.
Yes, I agree, in this case Fury’s chances would be much lower than they are now in a boxing match. Fury is certainly a yaper, but his punch is very powerful, you can’t take that away from him. It is not clear what he is capable of now, since he had a long break without fights, and it is clear from his form that he did not devote much time to training. But the same can be said about Ngannou, he has also been without practice in the ring for a very long time, it is not clear how this will affect his results.

It would be funny if, after so many years of dominance, he was beaten by a fighter from the UFC.  Grin

I don't remember the years of his dominance  Roll Eyes I remember how he ran away from the rematch with Klitschko, I remember three whole fights with a basketball player (sorry Wilder) where he sometimes ended up on the canvas, I remember how he chickened out from the fight with Usik. A defeat from a UFC fighter would be a fair end to a clown’s career, but it’s too good to be true.

Now that I have seen these two faced-off I can say that the fight is sure now and it is near than we are expecting it, because October 28 is not a far away, Here is the video of their face-off https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1oPEJl_PuLE

And in that video not disgracing body fats or body figure because they are unique that way and Tyson Fury is so sure about still beating Francis Ngannou with his belly intact for sure I have seen men do it inside the ring, their fatness is never a hinder for them, and Tyson Fury also quote that " He is fat as a pig and still number 1" for sure that are all facts, Tyson Fury can be fat but still become a great champion and boxer but not all that has the same body figure like Fury can become champion and great from boxing for sure,

What interested me more was the way Tyson Fury said that he would beat Francis Ngannou in the ring and would also beat him in a cage which contradicted the 1st thing he said that he would not go inside the cage with Ngannou, This it just a statement without any meaning for Tyson Fury further hyping the fight for sure, but here is the video of what he have said, https://www.youtube.com/shorts/i_W0stMKh7Y

Very talkative people most of the time won't remember their words. Many of their words are without value to them since they just want to talk more and convince people to watch their fights. Only casuals and fanboys will believe that Tyson Fury and Jake Paul will rematch their opponents in a full MMA rule next year. Tyson Fury is obviously not number 1. He only got 1 belt, the WBC. That #1 status belongs to Oleksandr Usyk, he's got the Ring belt, the WBA, the IBF, and the WBO.

^^ I saw glimpse of the face-off, as usual Tyson Fury started to run his mouth again, but Francis just keep calm and then point to the belly of Fury, lol. As we all know, Francis body is solid as compare to Fury who has not have a good body but he was able to carry that so no complains.

And I also see Mike Tyson really putting his works to train Francis here. Maybe he saw something in Francis that he can upset Fury. Just to sharpen his boxing skills and footwork and then the timing of letting his hands to go score a knockout. It's going to be devastating to see Francis knocking out Fury in return.
Hopefully, Big Belly gets KO'd by Francis but it is very unlikely. Mike Tyson can share all his knowledge and hype about Francis' chances of winning but he cannot transform him into a decent boxer in just a few months.

Muscle reflex memory so they say but he's been boxing all his life so it's given that he can do miracles even without sparing practice. Yep, I saw his documentary, he is a family man. A person who loves his family and enjoys the big family he has lots of kids. Whatever his kids are eating, he would have been eating them as well. Diet is important to the life of boxers.

He wouldn't be worrying about defeat all because of this diet, he chose the heavy weight class because he is already heavy and couldn't care less about what to eat. After a few days of fasting, he can get the required weight in order to fight.

I agree with you for sure because he has fought so many times Tyson Fury is surely used inside the ring with just a little pressure for sure but Tyson Fury will not back down in his comfort zone for sure because he is Tyson Fury that is for sure, and yes Tyson Fury might just be after the money and after that big Shift on Francis Ngannou going into PFL for sure Francis Ngannou is also a big money waiting for him as well

Tyson Fury surely is worrying about the future of his family that much that is why he is doing this kind of thing,

You don't really need big muscles during fight because they make you slow and consume a lot of energy. While it's also true that you don't need fat either, Tyson Fury is an exception, he does fantastically well even with chubby body.
And it's not body shaming at all, it's just true and even he says that about himself. I think I agree with Jordan Peterson.

For sure I don't want to body shame and with the recent Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury face-off Fury doesn't need such muscle because his skill and technique are more than enough in dealing with Francis Ngannou, and this is the 1st time for Ngannou in dealing a fight with boxing, for sure with all that body fats Tyson Fury is still confident in dealing with Francis Ngannou for sure,

Message @Hhampuz if you are looking for a CM!

^ It's possible. Boxing gloves are heavy, they would have to agree on which boxing gloves to wear and if Fury suggests the heaviest boxing glove, there goes the chance of Ngannou to the south. The ball is with Fury and the fight result might just decide to be cruel to Ngannou.

Fury is very confident he can beat the shit out of Ngannou and he was just acting it like is the easiest to do in the Tom Hardy interview. He seems not realizing he is out of shape.

He got his own reasons and I understand him for that because he's not really used to it and particularly, he cannot use the same strength when it comes to using the boxing gloves but he should know that this bout will be listed as a professional boxing fight which means that it's not an option what kind of gloves should be used.

I mean, you cannot really use a volleyball when you're playing basketball, right? It might be hard for him because he came from a different sport but he should know better because he's the one who challenged Fury. It's much better for him to skip the reasons because it won't help him in his case.

I don't believe Mike Tyson when he said that " He only needs 1 good punch in order to KO Fury" . This might be true if Mike was on the ring but with Ngannou , I really cannot see him doing a KO on fury or even doing important damage to him. However ,a luck punch can always occur during the match but I doubt it will happen.
Mike Tyson is trying to generate hype for his boy, and he might be able to convince some regular boxing fans that Ngannou really has a shot at beating Fury. However, numbers don't lie; we can compare the statistics of both (in boxing), and obviously, Fury is the one dominating. Mike better keep telling people that Ngannou could win because that's his only chance to speak. Once both are in the ring, it's the action that speaks which I believe it's Fury's time to.

Fury is very confident he can beat the shit out of Ngannou and he was just acting it like is the easiest to do in the Tom Hardy interview. He seems not realizing he is out of shape.

He has the right and the privilege he is the lineal Champion He just happened to beat the guy who is considered the hardest puncher in heavyweight in this era not once but twice, he may look out of shape but looks can be deceiving and Fury always proves it, come fight night he will in his best shape.

The poll is very close but I still maintain Fury has the edge, he is fighting a guy who has no experience and is limited with his boxing skills.

Fury also said that he would like to fight Ngannou according to the UFC rules, that he is confident that he will defeat him. Self-confidence is good, but I think that in this case Fury simply won’t have a chance.
He has no chance in UFC I think, he has never used his lower body for fighting and Ngannou has been fighting with full body for years. I think he can't escape in UFC via only fighting skills too and he is old enough to not master the fight with his lower body.

Out of shape? Physically? Or do you mean fighting skills? His physical shape indicates nothing because while he is as fat as pig (as he says  Cheesy), he is still one of the most athletic man in boxing. And his fighting skills? His shape and his record indicates that he has the top fighting skills, he is a pure born talent.

The poll has 38 votes and the statistics are quite stunning:

Tyson         - 21 (55.3%)
Ngannou    - 17 (44.7%)

I am surprised at the number of members that have rated Ngannou to have a chance to cause an upset when he will be facing Tyson Fury in the ring. He might get some success within the fight here and there but it will be a big task for him to win.
I will give my vote to Ngannou. Now the poll looks like this:
Tyson - 21 (53.8%)
Ngannou - 18 (46.2%)

and still Fury has an advantage, although not a big one. Fury and Ngannou met for the first time yesterday, and Ngannou pointed out Fury's overweight, and Fury, as always, was very verbose in response.  Grin

Fury also said that he would like to fight Ngannou according to the UFC rules, that he is confident that he will defeat him. Self-confidence is good, but I think that in this case Fury simply won’t have a chance.

This is only trashtalk from Fury hehe. I am 100% certain Tyson Fury will not win in MMA against Francis Ngannou. MMA gloves are different. Ngannou might kill Fury with one knockout punch and it will be Tommy Fury bringing the stretcher to carry his brother to the hospital hehehehe. Ngannou can also shockingly wrestle and he did this with only one healthy knee vs. Cyril Gane.

I do agree, it's very different combat sports, like the gloves in boxing is more padded if I'm not mistaken than in UFC/MMA. So I doubt that Fury is going to win or ever last a round against Francis if they fought on a the Octagon. And this is the same reason why we don't see boxers going into UFC or even trying it because it's going to be very hard for them to transition. As compare to let's say Conor who fought Floyd in the square ring. And now it's time for Francis to go for real shit here against the best Heavyweight in this generation and try to make an upset.

This is a boxing match, and it would be nice if we could refrain from entertaining discussions about the UFC, as it's quite obvious that Fury is just engaging in trash talk. Furthermore, he is well aware that he wouldn't stand a chance under UFC rules, so it wouldn't be in his favor. Currently, he still enjoys respect in the boxing world due to the caliber of opponents he has faced. Thus, he aims to protect his undefeated record, as he plans to return to boxing in the future for an undisputed fight against a champion.
I understand, it's just funny to me though to think that Francis Ngannou really tried to suggest that in this particular bout, they should be wearing grappling gloves (the ones that are used in MMA). I don't know what are his reasons for that because the article that I've read did not explain why but I think that it's either one of this two reason; he's not that accustomed or he believe that he cannot have the same power if boxing gloves will be used.

Because why not? Wink This fight is already interesting enough for the people around the world specially if they know both fighter's features, and even us here in this forum are making some wild speculations about what could happen on the day of their fight knowing that both of them are good enough to withstand each other's punches.

Ngannou might be an MMA fighter but he sure ain't the kind of fighter that can be underestimated easily even if he fights in a sport that he knows less about. And if Fury will cut him some slack, I won't be surprised if an upset will happen.

I vote for Ngannou because it just feels great to see a story of someone from rags to riches and him fighting back against the enslaving UFC contract and ending up getting support from other promotions and getting a boxing contract was the greatest win against Dana. Ofc this is just a speculation yet.

But once Ngannou makes it. It will be the greatest story of a Cameroonian who gambles his future from digging dirt to getting out of poverty in the land of opportunity.

I know his chances are not that good specially because this fight is going to be contested in a sports of boxing where he already have the disadvantage but I believe that he can make a difference and knowing Ngannou, he's not cutting some slack whenever he got an upcoming fight as he always makes sure that he prepares for what he think is best so that in the end, he can tell himself that he did his best. But this time, it should be no different even if this is not his sport, he's a live underdog and Tyson should watch his move because Ngannou can be also unpredictable.
