That is the impression many had for that game but it didn't turned out to be so. Milan still have enough chances to qualify to the final if they can do a come back when playing their second leg game against Inter Milan. What I expected in the first leg could as well be what will be played in the second leg. The league of champions is full of uncertainty and great hopes. I hope this match plays out well and interesting as the first leg match between Manchester City and Real Madrid. If they played out so, it will be an interesting semifinal to watch.

We have seen the fact that Ac Milan was not very strong in the first leg and the final result proved that Inter Milan was better than them. Indeed the second half Ac Milan played better than the first half but their efforts were fruitless and had to give up at home with a score of 0-2. AC Milan hope in the second leg will be quite small considering that Inter Milan will play quite carefully in the second leg later.Maignan was quite difficult to secure the goal in the first leg, I admit he is a pretty good goalkeeper owned by Ac Milan, but the poor defense of Ac Milan made Maignan unable to do much in the early minutes. For Inter Milan, this victory was quite profitable for them because they were able to maintain their winning trend against AC Milan.
Definitely the odds are for Manchester city not because of the past encounters with those clubs but Real Madrid have played badly when they usually visit the Etihad Stadium. Although Manchester city do not have natural fans to make the stadium a night mate for its visitors yet but they will rally behind their team like the one they saw in the Bernabue. Real Madrid also are somehow homeless when it comes to the champions league football. They can build just any team, any where. So this match is still just unpredictable but certainly the odds are for Manchester City.

The chances of the two teams are still 50:50. Anything can still happen in the second leg later.

I think it was basically just not getting warmed up to the game at first, players were just getting their game going and then got scored twice in a row, that is definitely a terrible situation for them.
That doesn't count towards not getting properly warmed up. They had the rest of the game to be more prepared or warned up hut they couldn't do nothing until the final whistle. There have been teams that faced similar scenario in the EPL and they came back to equalize the game and not from a 2 goals down like we had in AC Milan 0:2 Inter Milan. This was a lofty 3 goals difference for Tottenham and Liverpool but, they were unlucky as the Richarlison equalizer wasn't left to last way goo ling. Arsenal and West Ham United had there own episode with a 2 goals but, West Ham United was able to end the game in a draw as well.AC Milan not being able to get a goal out of the game just shows how poorly prepared they were and I didn't 3xpect them to beat Inter any ways. Still, I expected a good game from teams that have history that goes way back.
Milan did not show the game with high standard games they were very chaotic so Inter immediately punished at the beginning of the first half. For the second leg no longer hope for Milan, Simone Inzaghi will lock the results of today's match and will not provide room for his rivals. I made sure Inter was able to set foot in Istanbul.
AC Milan's match strategy was not good. I would say this is the main reason for their defeat. I consider Inter Milan and AC Milan squads to be almost equally strong. However, AC Milan players disappointed the fans in the home match. They should have performed better. However, it is highly unlikely that AC Milan will win the away match by more than 2 goals after a 2-0 defeat in the home match. Because AC Milan's forwards are not very strong. You can consider all you know but it doesn't stop the fact that both teams are not equal in strerngth and strategy, there is no way you will look into two teams and you will come with a conclusion that the two of them are equal, one will either lack strength, be weak at defending, may lack accurate ball passing and may have zero off target or no attempt at all but that is not the end for AC Milan, we have seen teams almost give up in the first leg in a tournament but biunce back strongly in the second half who knows, if they put there self together and were avle to work on their last weakness, the second leg may be in their favour.

I know that they are doing their best and that's a good thing but that doesn't mean that they are going to end up with a win. Inter could end up getting the finals this way if they keep it going, or more basically if Milan keeps being like this than Inter will go up.
Truthfully it could have ended differently in the Milan - Inter match. I mean Milan also found some important chances to score. But their main problem was with shots on target. Because they had only 2 shots on target in the whole 90 minutes. Inter had 3 more than them though but they were at least very effective in making use of those chances. They just looked for finishing the job early as they got 2-0 ahead in the first 10 minutes.
If Milan didn't get that much of a shocking start maybe things would have been different. One of the chances Milan got was really a critical one. Tonali took a great shot but the ball returned from the goal post. Leao was absent maybe but this was still not the Milan I was expecting to see. Their job is going to be pretty hard in the rematch.

Inter Milan already have one leg in the CL final, i knew if Rafael Leao doesn't play it would be difficult for AC Milan to create chances, and that was what happened, the Portuguese superstar is so important for AC Milan, and i hope he will be fit for the return leg next week. Having said that, it is going to be a pretty difficult mountain for AC Milan to climb, to come back from two goals down means they have to be impeccable (and that's something i've not seen from them this season), i think it is Inter that would go through, chances are pretty high that they'd even win the second leg as well. 
I liked both games. You wouldn't think in advance that there would be much spectacle at the AC Milan - Inter Milan match, but that was certainly different in the opening phase. But Inter could also have scored a few more goals, then it would have been all over. Home and away does not matter much, for both it is both a home and away game. But of course Inter has very good papers to reach the next round. If Leao is fit at AC Milan, they still have a chance to continue. Without him, yesterday was mainly damage limitation and that was still achieved on the basis of the early 0-2.

Such a poor night for Milan. I didn't see as big effort as I expected from them. Because there were big problems with the shots. This 2-0 loss already in the first game can be a serious issue for Milan in the second leg. I was expecting Inter to play good but this was more than I expected. After capturing this psychological advantage Inter can most probably eliminate them.
I wonder why Inzaghi didn't prefer Lukaku in the starting lineup this time. He has been in a good shape recently actually.

I want to be a bit cynical by saying Inter Milan would win
But that I doubt, Pep Guardiola has his eyes on the treble this season if he eventually knocks Real Madrid out of this round, believe me we can go ahead to say that Pep Guardiola would win Manchester City them first Champions League trophy.

It won't be easy for City. I am expecting Madrid to start the second leg in the same manner as first. City were lucky in the first leg as lot of close attempts were saved and they found the equaliser goal (thanks to KDB). Madrid will be very tight in next game.
I know Haaland didn't have a big impact in the first leg because the Real Madrid defense was quite good at reading and stopping his moves. Haaland and all the other players must have the best collaboration in the second leg, but the Manchester City defense really has to anticipate Vinicius who played brilliantly in the first leg. Real Madrid's attacks tend to start from the left side where Eduardo Camavinga and Vinicius play. Walker struggled to stop that himself, so it took good work to prevent Vinicius from tearing apart the Manchester City defense in the second leg.
I think in couple of PL games City had that problem where opponents kinda limited the way to find Haaland and reduce his involvements as much as possible. City are heavily relying on Haaland and limiting his touches as much as possible creates a lot more problem for City inside the game. Real Madrid are really dangerous from wings not only from the left hand side but on the right hand side where Rodrygo plays too. Guardiola needs to work out a better defense strategy to contain the supplies from the wings. Whatever its gonna be, it sure is gonna be interesting. In fact I feel like whoever out of these two is gonna go through to finals is gonna lift the trophy.
