Football is full of surprises and sometimes a 3 nil or 4 nil goal advantage can be overturned but I doubt if that would be the case of AC Milan despite their history in the competition because Inter is playing nice football and has won AC Milan in their last meetings in all competitions. I think it's the end of the road for AC Milan in this season's champions league.

I still wouldn’t write AC Milan off, they have such a rich history in this competition. Inter are obviously in a much better position but 2-0 is a dangerous scoreline. Do they push for a third to potentially kill the tie or do they try to defend what they have? They might get caught in two minds which could play into AC Milan’s hands.
One thing is for sure, the first goal in the second leg will be very decisive.

To win a football match you don't only need a good performance and a good shape, you also need the momentum and timing on your side if it is a close game and also some luck. Yesterday everything just went in Inter's way pretty much from the beginning, when you are scoring such an early goal after a corner kick, then the whole plan of the opponent is basically irrelevant after 5 minutes and it is also a huge shock for them. Then only a few minutes later the second goal happened from Inter which made things even worse for AC Milan obviously. Even though i have to say that the second goal was a nice one and it was AC Milans own fault to not defend better there.

I find early goals a bit risky for both sides. Generally the team which score an early and a single goal, sometimes two goals, tend to lower its performance and vigilance so take goals and end up losing! Sometimes, early goals destroy the opponent psychologically and they end up losing the game even if they try to catch up. It was the case for Milan in yesterday's game. The second leg will be very hard for them..

I think early goals do help in destabilizing opponents. AC Milan had more of the ball in their possession as well as had a couple of attempts but the early goals scored probably destabilized them and they ended up not being able to even score a goal of their own. It’s obvious on why you or anyone would think Inter seemed better cause they ultimately won the first leg of the game.

I also did think both sides would score like and was actually disappointed when the game ended with AC Milan, despite having more of the ball during gameplay failed to score a goal. Playing at home didn’t seem to have any impact on the game.  The second leg would be interesting as I would like to see AC Milan try to come back from this.

Milan can still win the semi-finals to qualify for the finals this season, but of course they won't have a high chance of that coming true. It's bad to be 2 goals behind from Inter because Inter's performance so far has been very consistent. Obviously Milan will have to give their all to qualify for the final, so that had to be proven in the second leg by pressing Inter even harder from the start.

I suspect that this season's Champions League final will be for Manchester City and Inter. They have their respective advantages even though Manchester City does not have a goal advantage in the first leg. Manchester City are expected to win the match at home and that is an advantage they have in the second leg apart from their good form.

We have watched just the kind of a game I was expecting from Manchester City and Real Madrid. Guardiola was going to attack their opponent with various strategies that we have been used to. He did exactly the same in the first leg. Of course, Ancelotti was going to do what he did all the time against that and we have seen it. Real Madrid tried to send most of the balls to Vinicius Junior to create dangerous attacks.

Did this help Real Madrid? Yes, it did. But they still couldn't get the kind of a result they wanted. Because De Bruyne was there to save his team with a great shot from some good distance. But I must admit that Manchester City could have done better. Especially if Haaland had a good day they could have even won this game.

Still I'm expecting to see Manchester City finishing the incomplete job in Etihad Stadium. I will expect to see much better performance from Haaland and De Bruyne as a duo especially.

I don't think anyone expected that Inter Milan would get goals early in the match, it's not what a UCL game is going to be, it's more a Serie A match for them. I want to ask you, do you think it's possible for AC Milan to make up for the 2 conceded goals they had in the second leg and make the match end in ET or penalty shootout?


Their attacking side isn't too bad, they're just unlucky, if you look at the match highlights you'll find some of the shots I mean. Besides that, Rafael Leao's absence really had a negative impact on AC Milan, I'm not sure AC Milan will be defeated by a score of 0 - 2 if he plays in this match.

From the level of possession, it is very clear that both of them are performing well, but Inter Milan has a better advantage than AC Milan because they were able to score early in the first half of the match. And from the results of the first leg, at least Inter Milan will have the capital when facing the second leg match which will take place at their own cage later, although I hope AC Milan can provide a more fierce resistance when playing at home to Inter Milan.

Indeed, the presence of one of the injured Milan players, Rafael Leao, made it very difficult for Milan to carry out his usual attacks from the left flank and the victory for Inter was also enough to make them confident of playing the second leg. For your bets in the second leg it is very good if you are back to betting on Inter's win and I think even though Real Madrid have never won when they traveled to the Etihad, I have a little doubt whether this time Manchester City can do it again or not because of the aggregate of the two teams it's still a draw and anything can still happen if later the score will end in a draw again until it goes to extra time or penalty shootout. But hopefully your bet is right and can make money again.

I wasn't expecting such weak performance by AC Milan. The first goal by Inter was due to a mistake of AC Milan's captain, not blocking Edin Dzeko well enough. The second goal was scored after a counter attack, when AC Milan's defense was in total chaos.
Inter had missed several other goal opportunities and AC Milan was pathetic at their attacks. Olivier Giroud is in a really bad shape. Raphael Leao's absence also had a role in weakening AC Milan's attack. I can't see how Milan would win against Inter in the next game between them.

There were unlucky moments for Milan as well actually yeah. They wasted a couple of big goal opportunities. One of them was Tonali's decent shot which hit the post. But in general Inter seemed much better. Besides the biggest help for Inter was their scoring two goals very early in the game. This was a really big shock for Milan players to get rid of.

If Inter didn't start this much quick maybe the result would have been different. I was expecting both sides to score honestly despite Leao's absence.

I think that anyone who has been always watching the previous meetings would not be surpried with it. Intermilan was still far above acmilan in all the terms. Intermilan has solid squad in attacking lines and defensive lines compared with ac milan.
The result was the same as the previous meeting when intermilan destroyed acmilan with huge scores. I think that the winner is intermilan. It's caused by there was not playing home or away. These clubs will be playing in the same place in the second leg.

I see no chance for acmilan to be qualified for final soon. Simeone was not even putting lukaku as starting line up.
It seems like that he thinks that even with dzeko, intermilan able to beat acmilan easily. Intermilan already had one of its legs going to the final soon.

Im so glad that if intermilan performs very well at this moment.

The first 20 minutes that made everything look messy for Ac milan, because two goals came from 8 and 11 minutes making ac milan not in a good enough situation especially they were very fragile in terms of defense, even the goal from dzeko didn't get a good guard from the line  the ac milan defense which made the game even more chaotic after inter milan took the lead quickly.

This defeat made it even more difficult for AC Milan to compete in the second leg later because it would make it difficult for them to chase 2 goals. but the chance is still there but I'm pessimistic they can do it if their game is like the first leg. Dzeko became an important actor for Inter Milan in this match, he was able to ignite the enthusiasm of his players to play more aggressively.

I am happy with Inter Milano 2 - 0 victory over AC Milan in the 1st leg and it seems that this victory was due to an AC Milan player who was injured so he could not play.
The 2nd leg matches will take place next week Inter Milano vs AC Milan on 17 may and also Manchester City vs Real Madrid on 18 may.
I have made bets for both matches and my bets remain the same as before where I bet on Manchester City and also Inter Milano.

Everyone certainly wouldn't have thought that Inter Milan could easily penetrate Ac Milan's defense in the first half. As if Ac Milan really wasn't ready for this first leg semi-final match.

Even though I had predicted that Inter Milan would win and score two goals. But I think the 2 goals that Inter Milan got in that match were too easy and too fast. As if Ac Milan really doesn't have the solid defense they usually have. The first half of the match was really boring because Ac Milan really couldn't put up a strong fight and kept losing the ball when trying to build an attack. The confidence of the AC Milan players in the first half was really bad. They don't play as well as they usually do.

But in the second half, I was a little disappointed with Inter Milan, who actually used a defensive strategy. Even though I expected a hotter match in the second half. And conversely, in the second half, Ac Milan actually had more opportunities, but luckily Inter Milan actually managed to create a solid defense in the second half. And actually if Inter Milan continues to make an active attack strategy like in the first half then I think Inter Milan has the chance to increase the number of goals in the second half. But it seems that Inter Milan chose to secure the 2 goals they got in the first half.

Milan's appearance was not as expected, of course that is the defeat that did not match what most people predicted. Milan convinced many when they beat Napoli in the quarter-finals, but their form has been dropping in Serie A since then which has affected their appearance in the semi-final first leg.

I agree that Inter will be more favourites now that they have a 2 goal advantage in the first leg, so it is true that Milan will only have a lower chance of qualifying for the final. The second leg will be more difficult, but we also know that nothing is certain now. Milan was expected to force the game into extra time and the team that qualified would be decided by a penalty. For me it is possible even though the chances are low.

Antonio Rudiger have played well with huge pressure and not space having by Haaland creating chance and scoring goals, but Madrid left space on the midfielder are after De Bruyne success scoring one goal and make second leg games become interested for both team has chance who will qualify to final stage. Ancelotti will face difficult choose for second leg match because Militao between David Alaba and Rudiger on center defender or Rudiger will replace by Militao after complete yellow card accumulation.

Looks like Inter Milan one step closer to Champion League final after winning 0-2 on first leg, playing home for second leg will make them seems easy for winning and Milan face difficult because have to win above three goals. I watched with Inter has consistent performance on first half and many attempt created and remember how Mkhitaryan chance still hit the goal post.

I wouldn't say he was pleased with such a result even before the game started, but when the game finished, you are probably very right. Guardiola didn't underestimate Real Madrid at all, but did he expect them to take control of the game like they did in the second half? That is when he realized that the draw was a very pleasing result as it could have ended 2-0 if De Bruyne didn't hit the ball like he hit it and that doesn't happen everyday.

But you know he has already been much closer to sucsess when last year they had a 2 goal lead until the very last minute. Real Madrid is a club that requires the opponent to stay awake until the final whistle blows. This is what it comes down to in the second leg. Do not let even 1% of focus drift away until it's over.

I can't say if Inter Milan played better than Ac Milan or not because the game in the first minutes was really unexpecting and Inter Milan scored two goals while Ac Milan was shocked because the performance of them but regardless of these first minutes I think both teams had a good and close performance.
