Only a week to go for the rematch of the Bayern Munich - PSG matchup. I think a quite difficult match is waiting for PSG.

I mean it isn't going to be easy for Bayern Munich also but at least they are advantageous now. PSG should have been better with making use of their goal chances in the first leg. It was like they weren't on the field in the first half. But after Mbappe's joining the match they started to be much more effective offensively. Still it wasn't any help for them to score a single goal. But if this time Mbappe and Messi both become a part of the match from the beginning things can get interesting. If PSG fail in eliminating their opponent then Galtier's probability of being sacked would increase.

Man City have to be very careful not to underrate Leipzig because we've seen them do that time and again and it always hunts them.
I think the difference in this fixture is Leipzig have a very hard few weeks in the Bundesliga and Manchester City have a easy few weeks in the Premier League so Manchester City can rest some of their better players while Leipzig are forced to play their best team. I think that might be the edge and a fresh Manchester City team against a tired Leipzig team is very scary. I think we could see a 2nd leg with a lot of goals and Manchester City winning by a large margin. I think it depends on how Leipzig decide to play their games in the Bundesliga and if they rest some of their players to prioritize the Champions League.

The match against leipzig gonna be a very important match. It's even more important compared with EPL match. I guess that if it's pep's dream to give city UEFA champion league trophy. Pep will be so happy if he can give a trophy that already targeted since a previous seasons.
I think that guardiola already spent the first leg to be used to go all in the second leg. I just see that the decision for not substrituting the player as a trick to fool leipzig. The second leg gonna be crazy for manchester city.

All odd favours Man City to win the second leg against Leipzig but we know how Manchester City can be in situations like this. Somehow they always fumble the opportunities they have against relatively lesser teams at this point of the competition. Man City had every opportunity to win the first leg but they kept missing all their chances and that might hunt them later. Things like this keep the hope of their opponent alive. It would make them start believing that they can actually knock out Man City, so they'll go into the second leg and play out their lives because they've got nothing to lose.

Man City have to be very careful not to underrate Leipzig because we've seen them do that time and again and it always hunts them.

It is very difficult to beat Manchester City especially since the second leg will take place at the Etihad Stadium, I think that even Leipzig can win aggregate the opportunity is very small. Especially appearing before his supporters made Pep Guardiola's squad not want to disappoint the fans. I will bet on Manchester City, at least the odds are still pretty good than betting on Leipzig with a large odds and not necessarily they can win.
From these qualities it can be seen that Manchester City has the opportunity to qualify for the next round in the second leg of the round of 16 because it is strengthened by home matches which are important points in this second round. However, surprises can occur if a sloppy attack catches them off guard in defense which their opponents can take advantage of.

However, as we can see, Manchester City can feast on a lot of goals in the second leg because in the first leg they were able to dominate the match by registering many attack attempts which made it difficult for the hosts in that match.
Manchester City have the best attack in the world and they probably have the best depth in the world but they have not been performing great this season and I do not know why they have not been converting their chances like they have in previous seasons. I think Haaland is a good player but I think they have become too dependent on him and when he does not score it is left to players like Jack Grealish who are not proven goal scorers against the top teams and I think that is why they are struggling.

Chelsea have lost again in the Premier League, and they must chase one goal on aggregate from Borussia Dortmund if they are to be in the quarter-finals. I know they played the first leg before there were better games, but it was just better and it didn't affect their win. Honestly I'm getting pessimistic with Chelsea now to be able to win their second leg match. The reasons are obvious and I don't have to say anymore seeing how Chelsea are right now.

In addition to all this, when we look at the matchup, we see a Borussia Dortmund having a great season following Bayern Munich very closely in the BundesLiga. In the first match, they did not give any clear goal chances to Chelsea. Honestly, Chelsea have been struggling to score and find scoring positions this season, but Borussia Dortmund defended really well in the first game. If they play with the same seriousness in the second match, they may go to the next round without conceding a goal.

Dortmund is on good days and they are racing in their league for the first position in the table especially recently if we check the mathes they were playing pretty well against any team while Chelsea is not in a good situation at all even fans are waiting to see their coach getting fired soon because of the performance of him during this season so we don't expect a lot from Chelsea.

Potter will probably be fired at the end of the season but he needs to change his tactics to more defensive because he will end up costing Chelsea a few years at the top because a lot of their players will leave if they do not solve the problem they have. They need to qualify for the Champions League because they are already losing Mason Mount and if any other players follow him because they do not have Champions League football I can see them struggling to get back on top.

In  the Premier League, Chelsea continues to experience consecutive defeats. and most recently Chelsea lost to Tottenham with a score of 2-0. even though he had several chances but still not a goal. and I see that the goalkeeper K. Arrizabalaga and the Chelsea back line have a bad performance. so I also feel a little pessimistic for the second leg match later against Dortmund. but since it will be a home game for Chelsea I expect some surprises in the game.
With the present state of Chelsea can they be able to challenge Dortmund even in their home?. It is very difficult for Chelsea to win games now expecially tough teams like  Dortmund. I think Dortmund has more chances of winning Chelsea,  Dortmund performance in their games better of compare to Chelsea.

In my opinion, on the contrary, 0-1 against Milan is worse than even 0-2 (if the score was like that) from Dortmund. One goal advantage is historically all it takes for an Italian team to win. Now they have a simple game plan with Tottenham - to destroy the opponent's game and catch a chance on counterattacks, while Tottenham need to invent something to open the Milan defense without conceding a goal. With Tottenham so many losses this season, it looks like a daunting task.
I can't say that before the second leg is really over. The reason is that in football it is very possible for something to happen that can be said to be realistically impossible. I might agree that Liverpool will be eliminated, but with the other 2 clubs it looks like they still have a very big chance, moreover the goal they have to chase is 1 goal. Manchester City might be superior because they drew and only needed to score 1 goal to make them advance to the next round, but Leipzig is a club that could give them a big surprise, moreover, in the first leg they could play well.

Yes, all these teams have a chance (even Chelsea  Grin ). In my opinion, the odds for teams in the City-Leipzig pair are quite interesting:

1.46 - 4.60 - 7.20

City are the obvious favorites, but the double chance for Leipzig (that they won't be eliminated in regular time) is also significant - 2.63. By the way, I am attracted by the bet that City qualifies with odds of 1.18 - a good profit, and if City loses and crashes at the 1/8 stage, then I am ready to pay for such a holiday  Grin

I am sure that Guardiola will prepare the team for this match perfectly.  It is unthinkable for a well-prepared Manchester City not to knock out Leipzig.  The return of Kevin De Bruyne will undoubtedly put the team at ease.  He manages the midfield like a maestro.  Haaland may find more opportunities.

Leipzig have proven that they are not an easy opponent to beat, Leipzig managed to break the attacks built by Manchester City players and managed to make the match end in a draw in the first leg. Manchester City and Leipzig will decide their fate at the Etihad stadium, Pep must not waste the opportunity to go to the quarterfinals.
As one of the leading teams in the UCL this season, Manchester City must be able to give their best performance to pursue their dream of winning the UCL trophy for the first time. Pep will prepare his team with a strong mentality to win the victory that was delayed in the first leg. The win at the Etihad stadium is very important for Manchester City, Pep must be able to maintain the quality of Manchester City's game to become the first coach to be able to give the UCL trophy to Manchester City.

First of all, I was actually very surprised to see the results of the first leg of Manchester City vs Leipzig. I thought Manchester City was going to win that match for sure. But Leipzig have proved that they are not a time to be taken lightly. It was a good result for them because going into the second leg, the aggregate score is not going to matter.

Do I think Manchester City is going to lose the next match against Leipzig in the Champions League 2nd leg? No. But is it possible that Manchester City is going to lose the second leg again Leipzig? Yes, it is very possible.

I expect City to be ready for Leipzig. Just like @Mustang Shelby said, there is no reason for Manchester City to lose the match against Leipzig if Manchester City is able to perform well.

Leipzi must have make lots of scores to be qualified for last 8. There are some clubs that have been confirmed to go to the last 8 since these clubs were winning with big scores like real madrid and napoli.

Manchester city gonna face some big clubs that may able to defeat it again. This opportunity may come again in the upcoming season but it's very hard for pep to miss it.

Pep wans to give city UCL trophy and that's it.
I feel confident Man City are more favourites to qualify. One goal made at home to Leipzig made Man CIty very lucky. A draw, without a goal is enough to get them through the next phase. It should be that Man City can make more goals and win. Pep certainly already knows how short Man city were in the first game. The six players up front made it difficult for Pep to implement the strategy when they played in Germany. The match will still last more than two weeks. Man City have a fairly busy schedule and will play three times before against Leipzig.

Of course not everything has ended in the PSG - Bayern Munich draw. But it is the truth that PSG's job will be more difficult in Allianz Arena after that 1-0 loss.

This time at least we need to see all the members of their attacking trio on the field from the start of the game. This affects them very much as we see its example in the first leg. In Mbappe's absence PSG couldn't do anything serious against their competitor. I hope none of these players will suffer an injury before the rematch. PSG need to play attacking-oriented in the second leg to score the first goal as quick as possible. If they can't deal with Bayern Munich's domination in their home games then it could be over for them.
Losing Neymar is becoming more difficult but looking at their performance in Ligue 1 facing a big match when they meet Marseille now they are clearly in high spirits.
Even though it's like that it will be very difficult now when you look at Bayern who are still quite good.
Anyway it will be worth the wait but I think if there is a winner it will be close and just a narrow win. Even though I expect a very exciting game just like when Liverpool faced Madrid in this match.

Yeah unfortunately Neymar has got injured and his return date has been predicted as early March for now. As there is not very much time left for the second leg this is quite worrying in fact.

However I really liked the work Mbappe and Messi did against Marseille in their recent game in the Ligue 1. There was a great understanding of each other and the amazing teamwork brought an easy victory to PSG. After seeing this performance I'm still hopeful about PSG for next round even if Neymar isn't able to play then. The most important thing for PSG is to keep their finishing skills as solid as possible this time. They wasted quite many goal chances in the first leg after Mbappe's entering the game.

If guardiola and his boys are well prepared I think Leipzig won't be something so hard for hard for Manchester City to win. Manchester City  has better players who are strong enough to win the game against Leipzig,  I believe Manchester City they do not joke when it comes to champions league competition.

A big challenge for leipzig to play in etihad stadium. After a bad result achieved by leipzig in the red bull arena and it's now for city to do revenge in the etihad stadium. City's odd can also be considered as very small odd but that looks good enough

Leipzig's odd is big. We do know that if city has become most favorite team in the second leg. The draw against leipzig in the first leg has been giving more advantage to the manchester city. It's caused by city has a very good record to play at home. I see no chance for leipzig to win against city but none knows what's gonna happen. Leipzig could win if that was lucky enough against city.

Playing at home, will motivate Pep Guardiola's squad to play all out to overthrow the opposing team. I'm sure City won't let Leipzig dictate to them in the match. after all, actually in the first leg City dominated the game. unfortunately, City could not capitalize on the momentum to win the match at Leipzig headquarters.

On the other hand, Marco Rose is well aware that to keep up with the home team's game is not an easy job, because after all City will play all out. moreover, this fight is an away game for them. Marco Rose is well aware that to overthrow City at the Etihad Stadium, it is not an easy job for his squad. moreover, if we refer to the available odds. at least, City has a big chance to beat Leipzig with a landslide score in the second leg later.

I also thought why Pep Guardiola didn't make substitutions, but maybe that was one of the strategies so that his opponents couldn't read what they were going to do in the second leg later. At least that's what we can see from what Pep Guardiola did in the first leg. Now they can't do the same strategy, because winning is mandatory, they can do that in the first leg but not the second.
This is also a special concern for many people. against Leipzig, Man City did not make substitutions at all, while Leipzig made 5 substitutions in that match, So the fatigue factor makes the concentration of Man City players decrease. the second leg is decisive, so that guardiola must work hard to make their team stable and still play well, don't let man city be beaten at home.

Best position that could happen to Bayern. Beating Union Berlin and then seeing Dortmund play against Leipzig next. If anything is going to make this season interesting, Dortmund must win this game I guess.

I thought that Union Berlin is a hard nut to crack, but in this game Bayern was just superior.

For now it comes down to Dortmund.
Dortmund has been playing well enough that they could beat Leipzig as well, of course there is no guarantee, as I always say even Bayern could lose to Schalke and we shouldn't be shocked because we have been experiencing like this many times.

But, if Dortmund and Bayern keeps winning for a few more games and they basically get away from everyone and be the top two clearly? That should give a ton of viewing pleasure, in fact even if they end up losing, the fact that teams are close to each other says a lot about the league. It's not Bayerns league that they dominate anymore, it's close to each other and a few losses could see you drop as further as out of UCL, so everyone including Bayern should be careful.
