I don't think Barcelona is too focused on La Liga and they don't do big efforts to win the matches in UCL. Both UCL title and La Liga title are prestigious titles, they must prioritize both of them. They must know that winning UCL title or La Liga title is not easy, they are competing with strong teams. Although in La Liga they only compete with Real Madrid and they can lead the table, there is no guarantee they can maintain first place until the end of the season. So, no reason that they only focus on La Liga because they think they are easier to win it. If they failed in UCL, I think it was because they were unlucky. They must be serious to play in UCL and they already did big efforts.

Unlucky indeed became one of the factors why we did not see Barcelona in the round of 16, also indeed their game in the Champions League was not more promising when they played in La Liga matches. I don't think they only focus on La Liga and that's why they aren't optimal in the Champions League. I agree with what you said that these two titles are the prestigious titles they definitely want. But for the Champions League they have to be more patient and wait until their situation is more stable and solid after going through several problems from the previous season.

Napoli is also an outsider for the title. If you look at how they have rolled over Ajax and Liverpool, you should definitely take them into account. PSG have all the stars, but every year they fail. Last year they also had a lot of bad luck against Real Madrid. The question is whether Messi can focus again when he starts the second half of the season. If he is eliminated with Argentina at the World Cup in the group, he may be very motivated to take some kind of revenge in the CL or he doesn't feel like it anymore and moves to another club. I don't think that's how it actually happened, Inter still has time to improve its performance in its domestic league. with all leagues paused, because of the world cup. all teams that initially performed poorly, had the opportunity to evaluate and improve the weaknesses of their team.

Technically all of the rest of the teams have a really low chance of being the champions in the Serie A as Napoli are incredible now. It would be still okay for Inter if they finish the season in top 4 there. However their performance in the Champions League so far has been impressive. While many people weren't giving them much chance against Barcelona and Bayern Munich, they performed much better than Barcelona. They absolutely deserved to be a part of last 16 round.

They have a lucky draw as well. I don't say that Porto is easy to eliminate for them. But they could have had a much more difficult opponent among those teams.

Liverpool, on the other hand, are now sixth in the Premier League points table. They won only 6 out of 14 matches. And qualifying for the Champions League is also very difficult for Liverpool. Everything is still in the process stage and I believe Potter still needs to adapt better and find the best solution to improve his team's performance. We'll see how Potter will be able to do his job in the second half of the season but to be honest I think he will be able to guide Chelsea to a safe top 4 finish.

I think at first they focused on 2 competitions at once, but halfway there was something that made them have to focus on one competition. That could have happened because as we saw at Inter Milan, they are so different when they play in Serie A and the Champions League. Yes, they should be really serious about any competition, but sometimes not all teams can do that due to several factors, such as tired players or so on.

I am feeling there is personal opinion about this with Inter current form is showing they are doing good job in both competitions because they were struggling badly in early rounds of the Serie A.

But, lately they recovered well and now having good spot in league table which is surely going to help them after break for having better spot and their performance in Champions League is also on their best with they are able to achieve their target of having spot into last sixteen with now having fair chance for going into quarterfinal because they are improving their quality and performance which is helping them and this could be positive development for them with Napoli and AC Milan are also having good performance but now most chances after long time we will be able to have two teams from Serie A into last eight which is going to be good for the Italian fans after long wait.
